-Alisha’s story as a Band 5 nurse in the UK since August 2023 was super inspiring. She shared her journey through the recruitment process, getting her visa sorted, and the awesome support she got from Torbay Hospital's team. Highlighting how important English skills and passing the CBT are for making it smoother.
-For anyone thinking about nursing in the UK, they stressed the importance of keeping your docs like OET, IELTS, and CBT up to date. Also, knowing the lifestyle differences between big cities and quieter places like Devon can help when choosing where to apply.
-They made it clear you need at least 12 months of post-grad experience, and during busy times, NHS might lean towards nurses with more experience. Good to know there’s room for career growth and funding for further studies within the NHS.
-They also talked about how nurses from certain countries can apply directly to NHS hospitals, and how they value nursing degrees from different places equally.

Secondly, as the Devon recruitment team pointed that in the future they’ll be recruiting only nurses with 1 yr of exp. or more.
So what would you recommend for me, as I’ll just be having 6+ months of experience by the time recruitment begins again.

I’m glad that the video was useful , shall try to bring up more useful information and updates.
Also, if you have already cleared the interview with them and they have sent you the offer letter, they will still generate the COS for you. It’s applicable for the new candidates who haven’t had the interviews with them yet.
