I hope we see a live action version of Ultra Magnus in the future
We could do with Bumblebee turning the events away from the Bayverse. I’d actually like to see a more complete version of Magnus in the movie franchise too.

I really want to see ultra magnus lead the wreckers on black ops style missions on cybertron or else where but magnus needs to be overpowered like optimus. Give him the respect he deserves.

Don’t make him as overpowered as prime, prime needs to be the strongest but I say Magnus needs to be stronger than all the other autobots we have currently including bumblebee
@@TonyJaaFan1587 I’d say they should make him physically stronger than Bumblebee, but idk about smarter, every show interpretation of Ultra Magnus he is a very serious and almost arrogant character with a temper. Bumblebee lacks this, he can be tempered but he is extremely smart.
I thought it strange that Alpha Trion never gets a mention in the Bay movies...
I kinda felt that there was an attempt with the whole Matrix flashback scene in ROTF, but it was executed poorly. It's not the same but gave me a little feelings of that.
Honestly always thought that movie Sentinel Prime's silhouette was similar to Alpha Trion's.
I heard that the twist in dark of the moon is that ultra magnus would turn on the auto bots. You can see ultra magnus in the first trailer for dotm and he is golden. Michael bay changed his name to sentinel prime and changed his color from gold to red. I heard that somewhere but I don’t know if it’s true but I believe it.
The only thing worse than turning Sentinel bad would have been turning Magnus. The Bay movies look amazing I'll give them that, but only that. Lol

That's true. Ultra Magnus was supposed to be the autobot traitor, but later changed it to Sentinel Prime. Personally, I would've loved it if they went along the original idea to have Magnus turn in the Autobots considering he is an Autobot to the core, not only part if the elite guard. To see Magnus falls to corruption and turns on the Autobots would've made dotm even better if bay wanted to have an Autobot traitor. Sentinel, on the other hand, just seems pretty bland and generic, and just because he's Optimus' mentor, didn't really made any impact on dotm whatsoever at least imo.

Ultra magnus was never in the trailer for dotm, That was actually sentinel but in yellow and yes it is yellow and not gold. The only reason sentinel was yellow is because there's a law where sentinels fire truck(don't remeber the name exactly)needs to be yellow. Bay changed the colors when the trailer for dotm came out
Magnus's similarities with Optimus is the reason we haven't seen him in a movie yet i believe. They should redesign the character imo and seperate him from Optimus. This one goes for the comics too .
They can very easily give him Primes old alt mode from the first movie but give him a trailer with weapons in it like prime had in the third one. And change his robot design to look like the one from transformers prime and give him the forge as his main weapon like they did in that show
He is very easy to identify by his over extended shoulders above his head and blue colour. Only face is somewhat similar to Optimus prime.
ultra Magnus should have been rescued by Optimus prime in transformers 4 in Lockdown's ship.
That wouldn’t really make sense, Magnus has his own ship in the TFP animated series so just say in a future movie that he was searching for auto bot survivors this whole time and knew about earth but wanted to make sure he found all the other auto bots before going there to help finish the fight with megatron. There are still several characters that haven’t been seen in live action and several that haven’t been seen since dark of the moon and haven’t been confirmed dead yet

@@lockinggone7862 no I didn’t, I said they could adapt that story into the live action and explain his absence in the movies by Optimus telling the other autobots about him sending Magnus on a search and rescue mission for autobots that escaped cybertron and are still alive. I never said prime was canon to the movies
so your telling me sentinel will be replaced for ultra magnus there is no way that will happen to ultra magnus. ultra magnus will be a traitor there is no way ultra magnus will be a traitor
There are ways for Magnus to become a traitor.
First: The casualties on both sides, autobot and decepticon, including the neutral side (civilians) from cybertron to earth. Although he is an autobot to his core, doesn't mean he may not have the possibilities to change his character over time as the war against decepticons progresses. Casualties may affect him much like everyone else, and demoralization has a chance of being an obstacle for Magnus for the sake of their planet and people's survival, much like Sentinel Prime's case.
Second: Optimus Prime's violent nature in the Bay films. Although Optimus is shown and portrayed to be even more compassionate towards his autobots in the comics of the films than its shown in the films themselves, Optimus does commit war crimes, even for the benefit of autobots and humans on earth. An example of that is that one comic where the autobots and Soundwave worked together to attack a proxy sector 7 organization, that enslaved Autobots and decepticons alike. Unlike sparing autobot prisoners from humans captivity, Optimus and the autobots killed deception prisoners that were held against their will. Another war crime was the lives of the humans that Optimus sacrificed at the hands of the decepticons, in order to prove his point that humans will never be safe from the decepticons, if the autobots leave earth, to which they made the humans think they left as seen on dotm. Causing huge amounts of human lives being killed. You'd think just by that act alone, Ultra Magnus would not agree, and would no doubt even oppose to the idea just to prove a point.
Third: Leadership. While most autobots and especially Ratchet and Ironhide loyally serve Optimus. The leadership of Optimus, as based throughout the films shows how wreckeless and violent he is, regardless of human casualties, whether it be military or civilian alike. Although being an alien on earth, I really do see ultra Magnus to step up to Optimus and question the acts of his leadership, leading to possible internal conflict not only within the autobot ranks of but also affecting the human alliance with Nest, which may, or will, result to a potential mutiny. This might look like a simple act because of jealousy, or simply an act of common sense of dignity for the sake of preventing innocent lives away from risks in their war, if Ultra Magnus is to step up to demote Optimus of his rank being autobot commander.
With Studio Series releasing concept characters, I would definitely love to see the DOTM Ultra Magnus even though he’d probably be a retool/repaint of Sentinel Prime.
I am fine about sentinel taking the role of ultra magnus because I didn't want to see one of my favorite characters kill another

It was better that Sentinel Prime was traitorous instead of Ultra. If you’re Optimus’s number 2 and the leader of the Wreckers to keep them in line then that would be a hefty way to have the second in command betray all of his AutoBot brothers.
Ultra Magnus was my favorite among the Autobots when I was a kid in the 80's. Damn you, Michael Bay for not including him. 😡

Bay never intended for Magnus to be in any of them. First of all he gave Prime all Magnus's Attributes and he would not let any of the characters be in the movie that would trump Prime in any fashion including size. And if they did, they were one and done. Sentinel Prime killed him One time and was then killed off by Prime. The same for The Fallen. Megatron is Prime's equal but was Prime's Punching bag in the movies. Grimlock can wipe the floor clean with Prime any day of the week, but Prime pawned GM in the movie. And the other Dinobots barely did anything. Demolisher was a watered down shit version but was taken down by a railgun. Jetfire showed up but he was old and falling apart and had one appearance just to die and be scraped so Prime could get his battle jet pack. And the biggest insult which was in The Last Knight was that Unicron had broken into several pieces and would never show to a fight because he was/is Planet Earth itself. I can't find it but Prime said to Magnus it is good to see you again old friend. That right there states that yes, Magnus was once Dion and Yes he is Prime's older grouchier Brother.

Ultra magnus is one my favorite autobots and I think I should love him in transformers rise of the beast and this autobot is a beast got the best hammer love ultra magnus I would do a favorite list of autobots and decepticons but ultra magnus is my favorite autobot
No matter the continuity, Ultra Magnus gets done dirty. So maybe I'm a little glad he didn't appear in the films.

Yes indeed, I really enjoyed his portrayal in the WFC series. Seeing his conflicts with Optimus for the greater good of the Autobots was a great dynamic to see and something which would be good to explore with Live-Action Transformers instead of the conflict with human characters.

Both was disrespectful too the characters. Sentinel was never evil. No prime has ever been evil. And making ultra Magnus evil too would have been just as bad. Non of it was good for the movie. The hardcore tf fans walk out of the cinema when sentinel turn evil.

The thing is, Optimus Prime has a familiar look. He can be recognized without using your imagination. They really should have done that with all of them. Megatron and Starscream just looked stupid.
