As much as I love Shane, I feel like it was a mistake to marry him. I think I just felt so bad I mistook that for 'romantic' attachment. He would of just been a better friend than a husband. Shane was my husband of choice, purely because I have been on the verge of suicide myself and can deeply relate to his character. His cutscene on the cliff really resonated with me, and even his post-marriage dialogue reminds me of myself haha. The only annoying thing is that when he decides to help on the farm he only ever feeds the animals for me, which means he must be really dumb because I have aufofeeders. I haven't seen him get jealous though, maybe that's just because I'm lazy and I usually only give gifts on birthdays.
i was shocked with that scene at the cliff, too....for that reason..... wasn't long ago anyway, i have a mod that changes him and all the other male spouses (and willy and wizard) into females.... so it gets more intense for me o_O
you know, shane gets alot of hate from people but i do love him, i think he's one of the more interesting characters in the game, unlike penny, She's sooo boring

I like how this game is all-inclusive by allowing for gay relationships. Really thoughtful of the developers to not just limit it to boy-girl relationships, and make sure everyone can enjoy the social aspect of the game!
