You're so right with the benefits of a non turbo cars. Reliability is so much better as opposed to turbo models. I actually have the same model '99 2.5rs (GM6) with 186,500+ miles. Original motor and trans (auto lol). I've had it for 5 years now and oil changes every 3k and using oem parts is what got it that far. Looking forward for the content. I also put a a compass pack from a 90s forrester.

My brother's former roommate offered him for sale a 2.5rs with ej22t swapped into it for 500 bucks, the car itself is rusted to hell just like any MN car but the ej22t should be worth it

Man I really hope I can find one of these 2.5RS's in good condition for a first car, especially the 99 model as there were no sedans until 2000 and it had a facelift from the 98 version.
Hi a recently bought a gm6 with a 02 motor and (5speedmanual) 1999 rs driveline but need help finding the clutch infi.
how much did you buy it for? and how much miles was on it. what work have you done to it as in maintenance
About $3k. After doing repairs and modifications, about $4-5k total so far. Would cost more but I did all the work myself. They are hard to come by in good condition. Let alone decent lol
