Thanks for the insight on the belt and paint. I've got a 2015 RTS now and I'm Really thinking hard about getting the one like you have. Riding with Red is a great new channel.
Have almost 3000 miles on my RT and can't say that I have a problem with belt vibration. At the start all I had was occasional vibration at around 75 mph which as the fastest I generally drive is 70 was not any problem. Other sites I have seen have said that if you get vibration then just go a bit faster and you will go through it. The vibration is just harmonics at a particular speed. With the mileage I have done the vibration speed has now dropped to around 70mph but is still occasional, mainly when under a heavier load. The difference is probably due to belt stretch so as I am due the first service next week the tension should be checked and adjusted and this should go away. Belt tensioners seem to have been needed on older pre 2020 versions, if you do fit a tensioner to a 2020 then keep a watch on the bearings as they have been known to fail leading to damaged belts.
Excellent feedback, thank you. Maybe it is a belt tension issue. I haven't had mine for it's first inspection yet. I've been pulling a trailer with mine and the vibration was present before I put the tensioner on. I looked at the BRP tensioner... the bearing on that one was about the size of a fidget spinner :) Go for the heavier one from Lamonster... they are high quality bearings. Thanks again, enjoy your ride!
@@garrball9205 Bikes is in, did all paper work yesterday and dropped off SlingMods.com stuff for dealer to put on it. Hope this coming week it will be on the road! Boy with this COVID BS, DMV was a pain, fill stuff out, not know if it is correct and drop in box at DMV and wait and pray you did paper work correct!
@@garrball1540 I LOVE it, got her "Big Red" few days ago. Love it and put Pedal Commander on her but not using it yet! The fellow who put her together never dealt with Pedal Commander before, and almost hit wall in the shop!!! Just found the steering takes while to get use to. But a great ride, just here in NY she will be in the garage for winter soon!
@@Senegal01 Awesome... thanks for getting back to me... ok... have to ask for the uneducated... what' a pedal commander? I was out for a rip yesterday. took the trunk off and put the panel on, noticed a little difference in gas mileage! Still loving it. That pulley tensioner was the bomb.
Not sure where you're from. You'd have to check with your local provincial or state laws... here in Canada... they still treat it as a motorcycle so yes, you need your motorcycle license. Hope this helps.
Bombardier had a deal where you don't have to pay anything for a year they basically gave me the bike on the promise that I'm going to start paying for it next year I think that's pretty cool
@@ferrelli76 Yes I'm up in Canada to I didn't have to pay a cent it was weird I kind of felt strange walking in there and walking out with the bike not dropping a dime

Marsala 2021 ordered yesterday, this will be my longest two weeks ever!
Excellent... You'll love it... they're an amazing bike. I feel way safer on that than my Harley! Especially with a passenger!

Can you recommend a good wax for initial treatment! Many thanks in advance! Just started riding my new 20RT in marsala red also.
I actually just use good old Turtle Wax and it worked fine
By the way congratulations on your new Spyder you're going to love it
