    Hello Van, i was wondering if you could make a video on how to replace an oil pan or fix it
    My friend recently bought a 2009 R6 with low km but the previous owner over tightened the oil drain bolts and when we opened it we saw that the oil pan thread was stripped
    I know two ways
    1. re-drill it and use a bigger size bolt
    2. change the oil pan
    if you have any other idea it would be great and if you could show how to remove the oil pan without removing full exhaust system that would be great too
    thanks in advance

    Hey van, about to dive into the Yoshimura AT2 system exhaust on my 2020 R6. This video is super detailed and I want to start by saying thank you for always having amazing content. My question is. I have the AT2, sprint filter, and a bauc racing tune to support the mods. When I delete the servo cables and system. Do I still need the servo buddy? Or can I just delete the system since I have the bauc tune? Thanks in advance, and cheers from Kentucky!

    • @sportbiketrackgear

    Great video Brain.
    Two question on this system.
    What did you do with the O2 cables? Looks like
    They still sitting there, you just tight them to the body?
    And if you don't want the O2 system How can you eliminate it?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure if you are referring to the exhaust valve cables or the actual exhaust O2 sensors. If you are referring to the exhaust servo cables those are removed when the servo motor is removed and the servo eliminator is installed.
      If you are referring to the )2 sensors there are some ecu flashes that will eliminate the sensors so they can be removed from the bike. - Van

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are welcome and thank you for watching! Personally I would go with the M4 full system rather than piece items together from different brands. After installing the system you will need to install a servo eliminator to keep the check engine light off. I would recommend riding the bike after installing the system to see if you are happy with the performance. If you are there is no need to flash or install a fuel controller. Below is a link to the exhaust servo eliminator to keep the engine light off:

    Hey Van, I installed this M4 exhaust close to a year ago now and put about 4000 miles with it on. As I have talked to people in the motorcycling world I have heard some people recommending a reflash tune on the motorcycle. I am a little timid with computer/electrical mods being done as it is out of my control and catastrophic failure is what keeps me from indulging. Is this something you would recommend? This exhaust sounds beautiful now that I have it on and the flames are wicked. Also thank you for all of your videos explaining the installs on this modifications. I don't think I would have the courage to work on my own bike if it wasn't for you.

  • @Marwixvlogs

    Hey STG, just a quick question. Im considering changing to this full system (slip-on) because right now I have the R6, mapped to my akrapovic full system, but it is not idling properly because of the pressure from the engine and I don't feel the whole power of the bike. However, when I mounted the original slip-on with akrapovic header, the bike ran SOO much better, probably because of less back pressure, and im considering changing to a sided slip-on like the one in the video and sell my long akrapovic slip-on I have right now. Would that also make a huge difference, and why does it run better with that slip-on instead of my akrapovic one? The bike felt more responsive and alive with "sided" slip-on. Thank you so much! 😊

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you taken the bike to the dyno to verify what you are feeling? As long as the bike has been mapped for the full Akrapovic system it should not decrease the performance. Akra is one of the best exhaust brands in the world, known for producing good power. Before you spend anymore money take the bike to a tuner with the Akra system and have the map reviewed. - Van

    • @Marwixvlogs
      @Marwixvlogs 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sportbiketrackgear Hello Van, thank you for your response! My ECU has been flashed by a company in England and sent back to me in Sweden. The idling has been an issue for a long time, but it doesn't happen when I have the db killer installed. I like to enjoy the sound of my full system, that's why I don't use the db killer which results in the engine acting weird. However, using my original slip-on with my akrapovic header made my R6 run incredible good. That's why im considering buying a GP slip-on instead to the headers and sell my muffler from Akrapovic. Basically im just swapping to another akrapovic product. The reason why I want to do this is mainly because some of my friends have told me it could be the pressure from the engine causing it to run lean and therefore make my idling weird. The company could also adjust the ECU, but I don't think I will get as much power out of my full system. What are your thoughts on this? I appreciate your time Van! =)

      That is the exhaust servo and cables. If the system you are installing has you removing the valve from the system (the thing the cables attach to) then you should remove the cables and servo. Once you do this you will need to install a Servo Buddy to turn the check engine light off. Here is a link to the Servo Buddy on our site (we have an install video for this):

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The flanges on an aftermarket exhaust system are different than the OEM. For this reason I would not use the OEM torque spec. This is not something I would use a torque wrench on. You need to make sure the nuts are threaded on evenly on both sides and tighten them until the flange just begins to bend (do not tighten until you can see a big bend in the flange). Once you have them all even add a dab of high temp silicone to the exposed threads to ensure they stay put and you are good to go. - Van

    I want this exhaust for my 2016 R6 , I just don’t know which Ecu flashtune kit to buy off your website as you have a type 1 and type 3 & type 1 is more expensive but I don’t see the extra benefit from it

    • @sportbiketrackgear

      Personally I prefer the bench tune kit that allows you to flash the ECU at your desktop after removing it from the bike. With the bike side stuff you need to install the harness which takes a fair amount of work then you have to flash the bike in the garage or shop so you will most likely be on the wifi. Works better when you have a wired connection IMO. - Van
