But there is a hazard with the dust which would be not healthy. So, both need to be near close loop so the dust stay inside. And you would have to wait for the dust to settle for each operation. Could be some other way but am not seeing it yet. But the filtered material should around 1mm max size.

How do I know what kind of metal is in there so I can give the right sale price . ...and if I sell it for 100 how much more can they make off of it ?
Find the serial number (s) written on the converter and google it. You should find some pages that help you to deem the right price. You can also sell it to some catalytic converter recycling company. Send emails/call several of them and sell to the one giving you the best price.
Palladium is the most valuable right now, if you're looking to either steal people's converters or salvage them the 2nd gen and onward Toyota Prius converters will be the best investment for your time. Don't bother stealing shitty converters from old pickups, the Prius versions are easily $1000 without even extracting the metals.

The cheapest converter was 15eur and the most expensive one was 35eur, a total of 220eur was spent for buying the catalytic converters.
