So happy you posted this, I'm about to watch and play through to get all the gold gems. This game is difficult as hell, I remember I put hours in, I made it to the third world, just figuring it all out. Thank you so much for posting this, now I can beat my favorite game!

Only one of my childhood friends owned a Nintendo 64 and he had this game on it. From what I've understood, even among the N64 owners this was a rather unknown game at the time (and probably still is). To me however, I always enjoyed its unique & memorable setting, visuals and music.

For me they were all fairly easy, except for 3. 1) The Gold Gem in the Day Of. It took me years to get that gem. 2) The 2nd boss fight against Lunar. In my opinion that's the hardest boss gem. 3) The 2nd Merco Boss fight, also a hard boss gem. The the others (in my opinion) weren't that hard.

I hope the Professor's sprite is different for the child version. There's no way he can be drooling over an 11-17 year old girl. For this older version he can.
I met a girl in college, we were hitting it off for a while and at some point we had to pass by her house for her to change clothes so we could go to a party. As I waited for her to finish, I saw she had a N64 too. So I *had* to find out what games she played. I found this among them and I knew she'd be great girlfriend material. PS: We broke up like two weeks later 🤣
You should've come up behind her and said "Boy, am I glad to see you Marina!" And grabbed her butt. If she threw you across the planet, it was a match made in heaven.
I kinda learned to speak english early on. I was stuck on 'ghost catcher', 'trapped?' And 'inner struggle' because i never could understand the hints properly. Also because i was quite young. But the game is really great.
my grandparents got me this game with the n64 back in the day... i had wanted mario 64, but looking back with hindsight i can clearly see that mischief makers was the right choice 😅 (except for that damn festival level, it made me quit the game for over a decade and that was before i knew about that gold gem's ridiculous requirement) 😡

How do you get the gem in the Ending ? For me theres no pop up to grab Teran or similar things

I remember as kid never being able to see the full ending cinematic because I couldn’t find some of these damn gems.
For me they were all fairly easy, except for 3.
