- In this video, I am revisiting a game that I do every year, Little Inferno. In these winter months I find it's the perfect game to sit down and relax with, but as of late I've been exploring the message behind this game and I have finally found the words for it. This game has one of the most profound allegories behind it and while it may not be what the devs expected it to be, I think it applies here. So relax and and let me tell you my thoughts on why this game is one of the most profound in its genre. Be aware that in this video I will be discussing topics such as loneliness, depression and anxiety, but in more of a hopeful way so it shouldn't be too triggering should you find that with these topics.

Holy shit.... that was deep
An accurate shorthand version of this video!
I watched it twice and saved it
@@sixstringninja666 Appreciate it!
This game really does make an interesting point about consumption in a late capitalist society!
How often these days do we find ourselves absorbing media content such as Tiktoks/Instagram Reels/TH-cam Shorts or even just playing TH-cam videos in the background of doing something else and not really getting anything from it? We're simply passing time by allowing the right brain chemicals to be activated inorganically in order to sustain our distraction from the awful things going on in the world and a general sense of hopelessness that most of us feel.
The irony of buying things purely for the sake of burning them for entertainment is staggeringly prescient when you consider the way in which we view consumption of media these days.
Thanks for reminding me about this game with your video, honestly hadn't thought about it for ages but you've made me see it in a whole different light.
Thank you for watching!
This is a really great take on this game! Thank you for your analysis.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it!
This is such a fantastic view of of Little Inferno, I never realized what hit so home about playing this game but you've worded it perfectly. Truly amazing.
Thank you for watching! Glad you liked it!
I wanted to click away but I couldn't. I guess this hit me closer than I thought it would. Thank you for sharing this.
Now I wonder if the developers really only thought of it as a parody or if they had some of this in mind.
TH-cam is my fireplace
This was a really entertaining video, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Great video and really interesting insight 🙏
Beautiful, thanks for the helping hand.
Oh I knew I recognized the style, this game is by the same people who made World of Goo! Well maybe not the whole game, but at least the art was. I used to play World of Goo all the time on my local library's computer, it wasn't until I found it on the switch and replayed the whole game that I realized it's about capitalism...
Well that's a bit of an oversimplification; I'd recommend playing it for yourself (unless you, the reader of this comment, haven't already).
Actually this is a game, it's called little inferno
