Honda have bloody nailed it with this. Yes, the looks are a little bit marmite but… for 7 grand brand new - it’s a hell of a lot of bike for the money and a fun bike that fits the niche for both beginners and experienced riders perfectly. Yamaha must be worried about this new kid on the block

Quick shifters on twins are always notchy, it's because of the uneven firing order, they are always better with higher revs , I don't use mine in the bottom 3 gears, f900 r Nice bike great value, not sure about bringing back the Hornet name, CB 750 is all it needs.

Looks like a lot of fun. I might hold out for a while, see if anyone buys one, decides biking isn't for them, then sells the bike with only 1000 miles on the clock. I'd get that camera of yours checked out, mate. Every time you're on a nice bit of open straight road this big blob of pixels blocks out the TFT 😅

Does this Transmission shift very slick while on the throttle - where and how does the quick shifter work never owned a bike with one always clutch/shift.

Takes a few weeks to get the best out of the QS, they work really well. Like this bike a lot and may get one myself.

      Hello ! A bit late but I got myself a Hornet 😊
About the QS. Bike is currently 1000miles (with fresh oil).
I am having trouble with the QS, especially harsh upshift until 4th gear.
Also, the clutch and standard shifting is clunky if you do not pull all the way in clutch lever.
I find the biting point to be too close to the handlebar !
      What are you thoughts?
      Cheers !

@@neodurden6793 I didn’t buy a Hornet in the end but I still very much like them. I found with my QS (on another Honda) it worked better in the higher gears, in other words more smoothly up and down but I tended not to bother with it in the lower gears anyway, just rode normally. I still think the QS is something that I don’t really need on a bike, I find I have to concentrate MORE to use it than just ride normally when I don’t even think about what I’m doing.

If it was prettier and had cruise I’d already have a deposit down. Cheaper than an MT-07 and a big saving over an MT-09, and possibly more fun than either? KTMs n Triumphs are also tempting but I always buy Japanese.

Looks are subjective but I don’t agree with ugly, bland maybe, but aside from that and the lack of cruise it’s an absolute home run and they’ll sell tons. It nails 2 key areas; value and fun. It’s this decades MT-07.
