The last I used was Mitas rear, BT016 front. 016 I didn't like it, but the Mitas SportForce+ was pure fun, never failed. The dunlops are horrible, they don't hold the temperature for long and it takes a lotta time to get temp.
So many times the head is crossing the lane... Now in France during the lessons they teach the motorbike right curves, ie the wheel at the outside of the turn so that your body stays in the middle, not where statically a car from opposite direction can be. Personally I ad the maximum compression at the rear spring, my footpegs don't hit the ground so hard
My rear spring had already max preload possible. The is no other adjustment than that, so, for this stock suspension at these conditions there was nothing I could really do.
@@hxmoto Is you suspension stock? And may I aske your riding weight? I come in at ~78kg fully suited and riding fully stock right now and Conti Road Attack 4. In longer corner with higher speed, my rear suspension can't keep up. Even less than my fork. Will probably be my upgrade next season. Rest of the bike is chefs kiss.
Definitely, they cannot take more than that, stock suspension is way too soft for this level of riding, but as a city bike, the suspensions are more than enough.
@@hxmotoI rly dont like what this bike do above +170km/h. It cant stay straight line. Moving like a snake, then come back and do it again for few seconds. Over and over. Seems like front is to light and suspension travel to big and to soft.
The stock suspension is indeed way too soft, and with no adjusting knobs or screws. It makes the bike a really REALLY unstable bike at high speeds. And not only high speeds, but at high lean turns too.
@@hxmoto I will drive tomorrow another one and I will see. Before I was driving and the michelin tires and this one have dunlops. I wonder how the big windshield would impact the front stability. Better or worse. You are like a sail when you bend over to the front.
@@hxmoto I did drive another hornet and this one didint have this issue... both no QS or the windscreen. Only difference was the exhaust and... the tires... but michelins are better then dunlops and that one had dunlops. Maybe that previous one had wrong tire pressures.
dang you guys are skilled but crazy !! that Hornet does a fine job of staying up with that 09 . power isn't always everything skilled rider makes up 90% of a bikes performance . good video guys hope you still alive . ride safe .
No problems at all, it is a smaller and ligher unsprung weight, making it more responsive in turns. If you manage to go to the absolute limit of the bike, you will feel first the limits of the suspensions than grip from the tire (with decent tires).
tbh, I just am used to have them there. It's nothing important really. I sometimes use clutch even with quickshifter installed, and just forget the fingers are there 😅
@@hxmoto I get it! Tell me please how long have you been riding a motorcycle? Judging by how well you ride , you have been riding for a long time. Am I right? 😁
Your driving is giving me chills... You're riding that bike over it's capacities, and that's dangerous. Had an 09, it's not at it's limits, where your's is over it. Just saying, be carefull man.
It seems also that he applies too much throttle too early when still leaning (hence rear slip), but yeah, it might be also that he is pretty close to limit 😅 Hornet has decent suspension but I noticed that it has limits at higher cornering speeds and feels slightly unstable. It might be also that I am used to my old Suzuki VX800 still, which was 40kgs heavier and felt very stable when comparing to my Hornet that is extremely nimble. Still, Hornet is a joy to ride 😊
Tbh, I don't understand what's the problem in having a 160, many MANY people complain about it, but it just doesn't need a 180. On the same tire model, due to the way the tire fits in the wheel, a 180 reaches the tire limit faster than the 160. And 160 is more agile and lighter.
