Testimonial: I used Bens survivor guide, followed all of his advice and was approved for everything I asked for at the first meeting. If you are serious so is he.

I was just approved for CH 31 for school
I’m starting in the fall and I was told that VA wouldn’t pay a remedial math class. I’ve been out school for 20 years.

This helped explained alot. I tried vocrehab and the counselor sat down with me and had asked me to meet them at a public library, after thirty minutes she recommended and wanted me to check out books on how to write a resume. I was hoping vocrehab could have helped me get training or certified in network administration which they did I met the person who does the classes. I tried again and was ignored.

I have a 50% rating. I just received a call to come to my first VocRehab appointment next week. I have a good job, I have a Masters Degree from 15+ years ago in Information Systems. The business is changing and my disabilities (feet, back, shoulders, neck, bilateral hearing....) are making continuing in my present position a challenge. I notice on the days I get to work from home remote it is great. I want to take my IT career to the next level, I want to work towards cloud certifications, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.... Should I just not go to the appointment? I don't want to ask for something I I shouldn't get since I am already employed with a good salary in the IT industry. I am not competitive for the future though for sure. Any advice? Thanks.

I purchased the Voc Rehab survival guide but did not have a change to finish reading it due to illness! I am now 67 years old. Is there any hope for me? I am 30% disabled and do not qualify for social security because I only have 38 credits and worked for the federal government nearly all of my working career! Do I qualify for social security disability SSD?

Trying to maximize my benefits: I applied and was accepted into the Voc Rehab Program (CH31) but was informed to use my Post 9/11 (CH33) benefits before making the switch to CH31. I currently have 20 months remaining on Post 9/11 but I am considering switching to CH 31. Do you advise this and will I be able to use my CH 33 benefits after I am complete with the Voc Rehab Program?

NO!! do not forfeit your GI Bill CH33 benefits for your VR&E CH31 benefits!! Use up all but your last few months of GI Bill benefits before starting your VR&E benies. Once you give up your GI Bill benies they are gave up. Also, if you transition to VR&E with GI Bill benies remaining you can keep getting your BAH allowance and not the much lower VR&E subsistence allowance rates. Please, as a current VR&E applicant and currently being represented by Ben I urge you to check out his VR&E survival guide. I have extreme high hopes this time around going into my second appointment (after being denied once already) seeking approval into the program with Ben in my corner. Hope this reaches you in time!

I don't drive because I don't have a car. I use public transportation (the bus) to get to school. VOCREHAB will provide me a $200. student parking voucher vs. paying for a $70. monthly bus pass/voucher for me. 🤔😐.
Waste. Options for transportation are needed at my school for veterans who ride the bus.
