The OG Puma King is one the greatest football boots ever, and certainly a very important one for the Puma brand. Over the years we've had plenty of modern King models, some definitely being better than others, but it got to a point where nobody cared, mainly due to the fact that the boots weren't very good. So they killed it.
Fast forward to 2019 and the King is back! Super thin kangaroo leather, formed into a super sleek silhouette that just looks fast! In today's video I go over all the details of the brand new Puma King Platinum, the $200 Puma competitor to the Nike Tiempo and Adidas Copa lines! Nobody saw these boots coming, but now that they're here, it's time to get excited! What do you think of the new King?

Just received a pair today. Absolutely love the feel (and look) of these boots. Although I really like my X18.1's, I've come to realize that I enjoy playing in K-leather boots better. The close wrap on feet and feel of the ball is amazing with these King's. So light too. Classic old school look with modern aspects!

I've been looking for something to replace my adipure 11 pro 2 sl's for the longest time and these check off all the boxes for me. Lightweight, external heel counter, and leather upper. Needless to say, I went and bought a pair immediately after I was done watching this video. Thanks for continuing to produce the best soccer content. I've been a subscriber since 2013 when I was deciding between leather adizeros or vapor 9's. It might be obvious what I picked between the two. Haha

Got these in today. Disappointed with the leather quality and overall build quality. Leather is stiff out of the box. I'm sure it will break in, but for a top end boot i expect more. Also, the seem where the soleplate is glued to the boot is sloppy. Will be sending them back.

xzDeMiiZezx thinking the exact same thing. Probably he mizuno. It just doesn’t break. I’ve had one for 4 years. Still surviving 4 full seasons
Price point of the puma is better tho
The Mizuno is definitely a better performing boot, but the fact that the entire upper is leather on the King, I think makes for a better touch if you're after more of a leather feel. Both great boots, but also quite a bit different.

Hey sr4u ,For people that fit good to the tiempo legend 7 would they fit good to this boot. or is it bigger or skinnier than the tiempo because I wear tiempos and I’m wondering if it would fit good to me. What does true to size actually mean guys, true to size as in the size you wear in trainers/sneakers? Always gets me when trying to order boots I haven’t worn before lol
Would you wear them on AG since the soleplate says FG/AG? I need shoes for AG but I'm concerned that the studs in the back are too long or the studs in general are not that good regarding risk of injury. Would appreciate your advice.
You can definitely get away with wearing these on artificial grass. The studs are little long for more shallower AG fields, but in general they're ok.

I bought them and really liked the feel. But, they only lasted me four months. The leather became detached from sole plate. Really unfortunate.

Hey josh when it comes to breaking in the superfly 6 does it stretch at all when broken in or just get softer? Reason I ask is because I’ve had friends say it just gets softer but I want your opinion.
THey'll definitely soften up after some wear, any boots will, but they won't stretch much.

If you're after the better leather boots, definitely go for these. The Puma One 5.1 is objectively a better performing boot though, at least when you're talking about having the characteristics of a speed boot.
