@@melaninbabe6256 Yeah I've heard this too. But personally when my school voted on whether to start wearing uniforms or not I still voted in favor. I just think uniforms make it a lot easier (no need to waste time shopping for clothes or finding outfits to wear in the morning), and they also make the being in school more formal. Formal is good to remind students to be respectful. Of course it has to come with school discipline and regulations but it changes the vibes and I think it matters. Too many kids at my school were real wild 😂😂
I went to a school with uniforms. The uniforms had to be fashionable. Girls would judge each others skirt design /cut and how you styled your shoes and socks (yes, socks. How you styled plain white socks!). Shirt had to be just right- the right lapel(not too big, not too small) tucked in and draped in a stylish way. I actually missed just wearing my own damn clothes with all the attention that was being paid to the tiniest differentiating detail.
You two are good parents. Minji seems strong-willed but I love her response to her dad. Jun is so precious and sensitive. They are just progressing so well and speaking clearly. I love watching your channel. Dianna keep your health routine and overall well-being for the family, it will go a long way in time.

Honestly I learn a lot from Dianna. Also first time mom here, so getting my son to learn Korean and English is really tough. But I see strategies you have used through your videos. Maybe you and Jun can discuss what you have done more in detail of how Korean and English has been taught in your household would be a great video to learn from :) Sending tons of love from Busan!!
From what l have been watching, they programmed them young. The kids used to speak English through out and like last year they became fluent with Korean when speaking to their dad and grandma
Yes, observing their videos for a while, Dianna only speaks speaks English to them and reads from English books etc. Dad does only Korean. So maybe one person in your home can only speak English. If it's just you, maybe you can set days when you only speak Korean ans days when you only speak/ teach English. Kids are like sponges, they will learn fast especially if they are under age 4 to 5. Consistency is the key!
My husband and I are raising our daughter to be bi-lingual, and I speak only one language while my husband speaks another. That way, we avoid confusion. However, different techniques work for different people. I suppose it's good to try things out and then settle on what you think works best.

I can see where you're coming from on the clothes thing. As you know, name brands are a thing here in America sure, but they aren't looked at the same way they are in Korea/Japan/China. Wearing name brands is such a thing in SK especially, that I've had friends charge bags, shoes, clothes, and not care about being in debt because to them, name brands are something they put up there with food and housing! Thrifting has become so popular among young people here in the US, it's def not how it used to be in the 2000's where kids made fun of you for wearing hand me downs or thrifted stuff, it's considered cool now. But my point is that I sympathize with you wanting to make sure the kids fit in. I know it's hard, especially when theyre younger, but IMO teaching them that name brands mean nothing is a good thing to teach them now. They should feel confident and happy no matter what theyre wearing.
I can see that Minji and Jun are blossoming more beautifully day by day. I'm sure you and Kyungho must be happy and proud to see them growing day by day. I'm happy for your family. Ah, in the case of shopping, I would recommend Uniqlo if you want to spend cost-efficiently. Uniqlo has a good design, high quality, and is not too expensive. As a someone living alone in the USA, I usually buy clothes either at Walmart or Uniqlo mostly. Uniqlo also has lots of kids clothes that last longer with pretty designs. I think you can find lots of clothes that Jun and Minji will like there. Hopefully, you can visit there next time when you need to shop for their clothes, as well as you and Kyungho's clothes altogether.
