Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. These guys lean towards country but can do any genre. The harmonies of these guys is unmatched. They have one of the best bass singers Tim Foust & Adam Rupp their beatboxer vocal percussionist can mimic any sounds. I suffer from anxiety & they have helped me deal with it. There music can uplift your soul whether it is serious or funny. Hope you continue your journey through their music.
This was obviously a studio version with all vocals layered. However, it is important to keep in mind that all of the sounds being made are 100% human made. Adam Rupp is the beat boxer and also did the high harmonica in the latter part of this tune. Home Free is an incredible band that I have been following for years and had the opportunity to catch one of their shows in Richmond Virginia. They do a ton of covers and also have originals.Man of constant sorrow, Ring of fire, in the blood, helplessly hoping, Folsom prison blues, blue ain’t your color, my church, how great thou art are just a few of my favs. Ow that we are nearing the holidays, you should look up their Christmas tunes…do you hear what I hear is a must.
No instruments even when you thought Adam Rupp was playing the harmonica it was all vocal. I know it isn't a country version but there version of Huey Lewis and the Sports song "Working for a living" will show both their abilities and their sense of humor. If you want a country song Elvira performed with the Oak Ridge Boys (it will show their complete range from the bottom of the ground to the height of the highest ceiling or go with "Ring of fire' they are a true rabbit hole that someone can get totally immersed in.

Like all bands and artists the contemporary acapella groups use the magic provided by technology for studio production, although the auto tune is not used even close to as much as for most other artists or bands since everyone can actually sing tremendously well. It doesn't mean they don't sound amazing live, it just means that both thoughts are fun for them in different ways. All musicians do it, acapella is no different. A lot of people seem to think there's no auto tune or production used at all, but that's not true. So, these guys, though, they have the tightest harmonies of all, live as well as in production. They do mostly covers, although they're usually more like upgrades, but as you already know they do anything originals too. Let me introduce the men of Home Free to you. Rob (the guy with the beard and glasses) who sang lead in this song is a tenor from Minnesota. Austin the guys with the long reddish or auburn hair. Sorry, I’m never sure what color to call it. Anyway, he’s the group's high tenor. Originally from Georgia now he lives in Tennessee. Chance the guy with the short dark hair and sunglasses is a baritone/bass. With a 4-octave range. He was born in Alabama but currently lives in LA. Tim their bass has long dark hair in this video (although he cut it this past year). He is originally from Texas now living in Tennessee. Although Tim is the group's Bass with a 5-octave range he can sing all the way up to tenor. Well, actually so can Chance(baritone) just not as high. Lastly, but by no means least is Adam Rupp Home Free’s beatboxer. The guys call him their freak of nature or their secret weapon. He is the only founding member left in the group. He's also from Minnesota.
