In my opinion, the best Rob lead song from the guys. Story is that they were unsure who would sing the lead vocals on this so they were all going to sing it as lead and see which they liked best. Rob was the first one to sing it. When the rest of the guys heard it, they all said "Nope. We can't do better than that. This is Rob's song." And while I am curious how it would have sounded with another voice, Rob's just gave it a feel that I love! And that note...sounded like Tim rumbled directly in your ear!
This is my favorite original song by Home Free. Rob is spectacular. Love it! It's too short, though. I would love them to come back to that foot-stomping part again before the song is over lol. Thanks for reacting to this one and thanks to Ilana!!!!
FYI…the Dive Bar Saints album is Rob lead heavy. Everyone presented lead vocals for all of the songs for that album, but Rob presented his first and no one wanted to present after Rob because everything he did was so good. This is an original for HF, but was written by friends Tim. Also…the main actors for this video were also the main actors in the Dive Bar Saints video. This video is setup as a sequel to that one. This has been one of my favorites for years 👍🎼👏🤘!
This is an original. I think a lot of reactors go for the songs they recognize by the title, which means the HF originals are not reacted to nearly enough. Austin often does the 'guitar' noise, but I expect they can all do it. Adam does the high note much of the time, but again, they can all do it. Re: Rob singing this one - They tell a story about the Dive Bar Saints album. It is their usual procedure to have everyone do a test track to see who would be best for a specific song. So for DBS, this was the plan. Rob lives close to Darren, so he went over and did his test tracks first - this was pre-covid so no in-home recording. The rest of the guys listened to them and for many of them simply said - Nope, we aren't going to top that, Rob has that song. Lots of Rob leads on that album and good originals, too. Why Not (Written by Jeffrey), Dreamer, Cross That Bridge as well as Go Rest High and Take me Home Country Roads. And - the bar at the end is the bar used for the Dive Bar Saints video.
This is my absolute favorite Rob lead. Tim was asked how they decide who sings lead in an interview. He said they usually all record the song, then decide who did it best. Rob submitted his first, and as others said, once they heard Rob's,it was his. I just love all the goodies in this song. It's really beautiful. Thanks for your reaction!
This song is so much fun!! Be sure to listen to the entire dive bar album… Lots of originals on this album!!… Cross that bridge… What’s the world coming to… Never gonna leave this town… Dive bar Saints and more! Last reaction
You can hear why the rest of Home Free consider Rob their best singer. He just *owns* this song. A lot of people forget that this is a capella and that a person's voice is doing that crazy high note. Both Austin and Chance have been known to do guitar-y singing, so I'm not sure which one is doing it here. I'm tempted to say Chance because I'm not hearing much in the way of his baritone, but I am hearing Austin, but I often struggle to pull Chance's baritone part out of the mix (and also it's quite possible whoever is doing the guitar is layered). This, Dive Bar Saints, and Remember This are all part of an interconnected story if you watch all three videos.
This is another fav of mine with Rob. I love this song. It's so different. Hardly any songs from the Dive Bar Saints is ever recommended, and it's a good album. I think people just gravitate to the covers they know, instead of their really good originals. Too bad. People are missing out! As always, loved the reaction!
Another one of Home Free's great original songs from "Dive Bar Saints". The guys vocals & harmonies are always on point along with Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. And this song tells a story along with the video. The girlfriend is giving him clues like a scavenger hunt. This is the same couple that was in the Dive Bar Saints video.
Hi there!! Jer covered this early on in the channel, here's the link if you are interested. I'm feeling like we need to back and redo some of these earlier videos with the "lens" we have now. What do you think?!?! th-cam.com/video/pXi9oLCOuy0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_Pq9QIqDDDXIQw3O
I have loved this version of Rob most of all! Love it when he shows his strength, in this one and songs like the Boys to men cover End of the road! Loved the notices! Low bass Kenneth
Gospel Rob sounds so great in this one. Tim's voice is like having a warm blanket wrapped around you. Adam never fails to surprise all of us. They all did a great job. They killed it.
It’s an original by the guys. Lots of originals on that album. That guitar sound is by Austin I think. He does that sound well. Tim and Adam with some great sounds and of course Rob sounds great. Good one J & J! I love Dive Bar Saints….great lyrics. 😍😄
It's an original I believe and from the Dive Bar Saints album. Rob does really shine in this one. I haven't heard it in a while and had forgotten just how good it is
Ilana, what a great choice for today! I love this story. And Rob’s silky voice, the great harmonies, beatboxing, the whole thing. I think I just heard a little bell 🔔 Then y’all went back for that low slide. Lots to hear today! So now I’m revved up and ready to finish the organizing in my craft room. Happy Home FrYday 🍟 Have a great weekend!! 🎶 Cyd
I love this song. This is such great When asked which song is recommended from Home Free, I have to be honest that I often forget this song, while it is really one of my favorites. Rob's voice is amazing and perfect for this song. I think it was with this song that the rest didn't even try to see who could sing it best. They heard Rob and immediately agreed that Rob should do it.
Wish more reactors would listen to this one. This is definitely near the top of my favorites of HF songs. All of these guys are great and on another level with vocals and the things they do, but Rob just kills it on this song. He just has so much versatility in his voice. Thanks for reacting to this one.
I love this song & video. Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are. It took me a minute to understand the first clue (the word 'bar' at the bottom of the pool). They couple are the same ones that are in the video for "Dive Bar Saints". Thanks for playing this & your comments.
They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with everything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them every time. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellence. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions. ❣
I've listened to this great song by HF so many times and I TOO have never noticed that bass drop that you went back and listened to a couple of times. WOW!
Love this whole album of, mostly, originals! I just love the breakdown, but, surprisingly had missed Tim's bass slide. Thanks for pointing it out. I believe this was written for HF but someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Always a wonderful HFryday w/J&J
I believe this song was written by Keelan Donovan, who co-wrote Snow Globe with Tim. He's a very talented songwriter. I agree with many other commenters, this is my favourite Rob lead - I can never listen to it just once!
Thank you Ilana! I love this song and it is my favorite Rob lead! I wish it got more reactions and like many of their originals I think it belongs on the radio! Thank you Jillian and Jeremy! I really enjoy your reactions! ❤
If I'm not mistaken - this is an original - Rob showed up and showed out definitely - This is a song jam packed with so many things you just can't catch listening one time... I loved the story too. Love you guys - you ROCK!! RC
I think it was in his interview with Elizabeth at The Charismatic Voice, that Tim was saying that they decided as a group who sounded best on lead, but they had learned to never let Rob go first. I suspect this is one of the songs he meant. I love it when Rob kind of steps out of his box and shows a different side.
This is an original, written in part by Tim. It is part of the Dive Bar Saints album and one of my favorites when Rob takes the lead. That album has alot of originals. There is a live version that takes place in Paste Studios in Atlanta.
I really love this song. Rob’s lead is so it ’s kind of gospel-ly., especially with the breakdown, very church like. I love these guys. There’s a great live video of them doing this in Paste studios, just the five of them standing there being filmed, doing multiple parts. Even if you don’t react to it , you should check it out.
Ooooh, THANK you for remembering my note about that hot second of Timblivion!!! :) Great reaction, you guys. Loved seeing you enjoy it, as I always do. I also love this video because it uses diverse actors.
This is a great original of their's. I'm not sure if you noticed he actually saw a picture of a diving board. Then while on the board he saw bar. This was off of the Dive Bar Saints album. Those two people were in another video for this album. Thank for your reactions.
Hello my lovelies J&J .. been a minute. So glad I can finally get back here. I’ve MISSSSSSED you two the last couple of weeks. This is such a fun toe tapping song. There is nothing NOT to love here! So good to hear/see the two of you as well. Much love from your #1CanadianFan ❤️💋
I believe, with this album, there were only 2 covers -- The remaining being originals; this being one! : ) ...... Giving more listens (when ya want entertainment with challenge) to most any HF, will reveal a lot more!!! Be Safe
He catches up with her at the Springwater bar. I've been going over so many older Home Free videos in the last 2-3 days I can't recall which video it was where the guys did a video (& BTS?) in that bar. Anyone remember it?
Found it! It was Home Away From Home Episode 2. They started out in the Springwater bar in Nashville. Oh, and BTW, Rob mentions who is doing their styling for the photo shoot and it's pronounced Olena Noelle (or Noel?). I don't understand why some folks spell it Oleana.
In my opinion, the best Rob lead song from the guys. Story is that they were unsure who would sing the lead vocals on this so they were all going to sing it as lead and see which they liked best. 100% agree with you -- the breakdown is one of the hottest Home Free moments, ever. IMHO.

Absolutely love Rob's voice in this song.
This is one of my fave Rob vocals! Thanks Ilana! This is an original (not written by any of the boys).
Going to say this again. These guys just can't do wrong and Rob doing the lead it's just awesome. Love your channel guy's.
We agree!!! Thank you, Bryan!!
Rob was amazing, love Tim's low note and any time we get to hear Adam's nononica is a treat. They all did great. Love the song.

Robert Lundquist can SANG !

I LOVE THIS SONG

Such a great showcase for Rob’s beautiful voice! Great reaction as usual.

Yes! This is a favourite!

We missed you too!!! Welcome back, Sweet Caroline! ❤️🥷🏻
You should watch dive bar saints it's before this one
It's both Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks 😊

This is one of my favorite Rob-leads. But, I'm in the minority; I dislike the video. A whole day wasted running around! Anyway, HAPPY HOME FRYDAY!!!
