You need to tune the clutch via the screw for the springs. Run them 2 turns in from flush with the medium springs. You want the clutch to essentially stall you until its in your powerband, which on that cranks pipe starts around 6k. Once it stops slipping and grabs you’re already where you make the most power so it takes off better.
Stiffer springs and thinner oil let it rev higher before the clutch kicks in so your in the power when it does hit. I use the og 3shoe with 0w-20 synthetic motor oil my clutch doesn't engage until like 6k rpms and holds tight til it hits the wall in the pipe. You also can screw with how many turns in or out on the clutch springs will help
i can get you an original 2 speed maxi engine with kickstart from factory if you ever wanna build a crazier bike. So fun riding with a clutch lever and a footbrake on these bikes !!
Your manifold could be replaced by a Polini Big Valve intake for the Peugeot 103 SPX, that way you have a much bigger reedvalve and the carburettor is facing forward.
I used to ride puch when i was younger but i reccomend you to try jawa pionier. Its 50cc 3speed manual 3,5hp stock but when you tune it only a little bit you have a beast... XD
The brace on the frontforks are only suppost to be on the front side bro [i never seen a double sided one] its also not needed for strength just front sided one is strong enough. Mine has just a front one and i rode with a simelar 65cc setup for years tuned for top speed as i rode long distance [went a solid 110 kmph no matter the conditions] also i preferd the clutch with 3 shoes and proper spring set up its a bit of an hassle getting it right to the rest of the mopeds parts and personal liking But as i said bevore digging the build and content!
Honestly, I think you didnt need to change the gearing, but tune the carb. Mopeds need there carbs tuned for all the rev ranges unlike scooters with CVTs that only need to be tuned for a rev range and the CVT takes over and keeps you in that optimum power band. What you experenced there is a carb tuning issue. These old mopeds with tiny carbs need very fine tuning to get just right for all rev ranges. I suggest getting the bike running perfectly without any bogs before changing sprockets.
Ive seen videos with other builds where they went to the kickstart adapter...i think thats whats causing it more than your actual clutch. I know some of them had to sand the plate down as it was creating pressure agains the clutch, so that might be worth cheking out. Maybe swap back to pedals for a minute and see if it proves that? Build is looking great tho!!

I know they have a large aftermarket for these in Europe, how about in the us? Run it on e85 and use proper lube for alcohol, it will run way cooler
