Sia openly admits that her lyrics are silly - she makes them up after she develops the melody. It's her melodies and hooks paired with her amazing voice that makes her music so catchy - lyrics are an afterthought and that's OK by me.
Sia's lyrics are in general far away from being silly, she is an amazing lyricist and she don't have to be judged after 2-3 commercial songs. Do you know Colour The Small One? That album is a lyrical masterpiece. But maybe she got tired of being poetical when silly lyrics are what the people want nowadays.
