Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jesy and Jade all improved as solo vocalists and improved as a group as well. Leigh Anne improved on Confidence and her belting, Perrie improved on no longer pushing past Eb5 and started mixing more above F#5, Jesy improved more on Mixing and doing mid belts and Jade improved on no longer pushing above D5 as well as confidence in belting without tensing up physically. This Era is one of their best eras ever
Jade improved a lot with her vibrato! She would struggle a lot with it at least above D5. But Leigh? She is incredible right now, can't wait to see where that confidence and healtier belts are taking her while performing
About Leigh, I agree. I always thought that she need it more improve in her confidence, she always had the range, but perhaps she didn't believe in herself....

Most of her parts in the first couple albums were usually parts where the others were harmonizing with her in the background or she was rapping. Very few actual solos and on most dance songs her verse would be cut for the performance. Perrie and Jade had more opportunities to show their vocal range than Leigh and Jesy
i feel like part of what made this one of their best performances of this song is that they hadn't sung it in a very long time and that let the emotional part of the song come through again. on tour they sounded divine but performing it every night can become a bit like routine to them and the emotions get a bit lost. also lockdown gave them the chance to rest their voices and that's why i feel their voices sounded so fresh on this. it was the first time in a very long time that secret love song made me cry again
This was their best performance of SLS to date. Leigh was the best she has ever been performing this. Jade was amazing as always and we all know Perrie smashes this every time but even she stepped it up for that last note!! She changed it where she usual slides she had a clear break and I have replayed it too many times to count!!! Best performance of this song they have ever done.

Jesy is just missing in spirit (no one does Jesy like Jessica Nelson). As you said they killed the performance vocally.

They all have grown technically in different ways: perries control tone and range is impeccable, jade has no wobbles live anymore her control and support is spot on now, Leigh Ann her confidence and belts are getting bigger and braver; her voice is richer and adds depth to her tone of voice. They’ve grown and wish them another ten years of success or longer as they deserve it and better together, stronger together gives us all hope in their friendship and bond. They’re amazing

Secret Love Song was a good choice to sing without Jesy as there is no joint singing parts. I think when they sing without Jesy’s unique tones their harmonies feel less full.

I think these women have lovely voices that blend together so well and the way they hit those high notes and that hold on "yours" from the singer in the centre to me was astounding the way it began right through to the last part , beautiful voices. I don't read music or sing I think my ear is ok though. The first time I heard this song on the radio it knocked my socks off, so powerful.
The most sad fact is what you said in the beginning of the video "these girls do not get the recognition they deserve".. In any case they are always stunning and awesome and i'm so happy that I've been to their concerts. Hope they get the free time they deserve and release something new in the near future :) They need to keep singing!
