Great video Bill. You finally made it to mine :) The word is 'cattivello' it's italian for nasty or naughty; for the nasty insides, and if I got lucky enough to get it into the naughty bucket. I figured you would have it open in less than a minute, after some of the stuff I have seen you open since I sent you the lock. It turns out that nasty pin kept you busy for long enough to make this worth it :D . You are correct, I was attempting to make traps, but all my attempts failed so I scrapped the idea. I decided randomly cut up a driver pin with my hacksaw to bind on everything. The core, is not the original core. I had to sand the core down, in a drill chuck, to fit it into a master LOTO bible. The screw is the original, it came with that lock. There was no spring in #6 so you wouldn't notice it, and would leave the back of the lock alone. Thanks for taking the time to pick my challenge lock!
a masterlock that kept you longer than 30 seconds! gasp! thanks for the great content. i hope to be pickin here very soon and then i bet your videos will take on a whole new perspective. thank you bill! i am so jacked to get started!
Those are all great pickers. Another was Pete Restall. Anyone have any idea what happened to Pete? There one day and gone the next. I'm afraid he stroked out or died. He was a good guy.
But my only problem is that I live in Iran and there's no way to get a pick...I can only try to make my pick and I can only make some bad hooks... I was hoping that someone could be kind enough to send me a few picks that they have no use for... I tried every possible way I could think of but couldn't get a decent pick of tension wrench. Please if you have any extras help me out so I can enjoy lock picking like you guys too... (my email address : AlphaRazerReza@gmail.com)
Just a tip for anybody looking to hand make or modify pins, look for a small tool called a pin vise, you can get them cheap, on line, there basically a small hand held handle with a collet and knurled nut to tighten the tool on the pin, look just like a exacto knife but have a round hole in center. I got a 4 piece set from china co. For near 15.00
Great video bill I love all your videos and I make sure to watch all the ads to help you out. You are so generous with all your giveaways. You have done so much for the lock picking community. I think you are the best TH-cam channel in existence. thank you for such awesome content.
Although original according to Gavin/Zork, the screw looks like a common electric equipment screw that accepts flat, Phillips or PoziDriv screwdrivers, whichever is in your hand at that moment. There are also combination screwdrivers that gran all surface in those for extra tension.
My goodness what's with that third pin? Looks like it's been chewed, mangled, beaten and....... well whatever else. Heavy tension... nope! Light tension and treat that baby well..... Bingo it's open! Great picking Bill 👍🏻 Live your channel, you are an inspiration.
When he said "He was probably making a Pina-Colada", I first thought that was a name for a new kind of security pin I din't know of yet. But then continues "he probably dropped it into the blender" and then I got it! :)
@BosnianBill could you do a video on those covert glowing items we often see on tactical pages?Glownuts for example or just a glow in the dark car or the blocks of glowing material. Thanks in advance, I'm a new enthusiast and really enjoy all of your videos.
I am very new to all this! Started lockpicking recently, would love to make myself a lock that i could change up and all that. Think it is very cool! Need to get better at picking first b4 attempting that i think. That aside great video
That looks like normal master lock pins 😂 all joking aside. I was told threading the Bible will nearly always cause the driver's to jam up. Unless you thin the driver's a little bit. Just out of curiosity have you used the swoop wrenches I sent you sir? And if you have what are your honest opinion on them? Stay safe Mr Bill 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🖖🍻🖖
I reckon he’s a lumberjack who was caught in a snowstorm and so decided to use a chain saw and a hatchet to make a challenge lock by candle light whilst keeping an eye on the bear he was sharing a cave with. Just think what Gavin would be capable of with decent tools and a lack of mortal danger!
Master locks tradition is huge ,billions of locks in use so dont belive what those pickers say,buy Master lock padlocks and see the truth for yourself.
Lol ... theres a reveiw idea bill.. throw pins in blender and re pin a master lock see if it improves the picking resistance
Congratulations on 1400!

Thanks for taking the time to pick my challenge lock!
The spring is still in the bible for #1. The spring for #6 fell into the pinning tray slot one.
for #5 not #6
The driver for #1 is also in the bible with the spring
@@O1dAlex yeah I seen I put 6 down. Meant 5. But I didn't fix it. I assumed ppl knew what I ment.

Hey Bill, congrats on your 1400th video.
I lost it on the "he was probably making a Pina Colada", not to mention the raking attempt at the start .... good luck with that!!
My goodness what's with that third pin? Looks like it's been chewed, mangled, beaten and....... well whatever else.
Heavy tension... nope!
Light tension and treat that baby well..... Bingo it's open!

Gav? Gavin! I'm so worried.
When he said "He was probably making a Pina-Colada", I first thought that was a name for a new kind of security pin I din't know of yet. But then continues "he probably dropped it into the blender" and then I got it! :)
Great job picking that Modified Master.
Great pickin' Bill 👍
A very appropriate name.
BILL! BILL! HEY BILL! I'm trying to help you hear, listen!
The spring from 5 fell out into Tray 1.

The screw looks like it came from a mortise cylinder retainer
Master lock, choice of pros and real contractors.

i dunno why people dislike your videos. its always a handful of them and its just so ridiculous
Well, let's see... there's my mom, sister, brother, brother-in-law, niece, next door neighbor, and my friend's dog. That pretty well covers it.
@@bosnianbill lol. yeah thats got to be it
Nice job Gavin...not a master lock you can open with a toothpick or strong breeze. Good work on getting it open despite it's _Rustic_ construction.
Master lock,remember that name.
Master No5,now even tougher.
If you wanna buy a real lock used by most experienced contractors ,you need Master No5 toughest of all.
What's the purpose of inserting a shim before pushing out the core with a plug follower?
On challenge locks the builders often put in very sharp T-pins, or other trickery that can jam up the lock. Shims are cheap insurance against that.
Master and any other lock makers you should be taking notes you know who you are
Excelentes videos,vengo del canal #UnPocoDeTodo 🤟👏👏
First one I seen you struggle with
Vengo por parte de UnPocoDeTodo
