    CF Moto is giving the people what they've needed for years now; a fair priced bike.

    • @LooxJJ
      @LooxJJ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's same price range as Suzuki Vstrom 800 DE (IBEX comes with cruise control...it works, and throttling up NOT deactivating it is normal. App does not work if you have poor reception). From my test rides, Vstrom is a better bike in terms of balance and refinement, and when you ride it, you can feel that Suzuki has put lots of thoughts and experience into it - only lacking is the cruise control (but you can have the throttle lock).

    • @LooxJJ
      @LooxJJ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A few more notes: Quickshift is very smooth. Braking is also very good - almost as refined as Euro brand bikes. I'm 5'7" 160lb so for me, it felt rather bulky in terms of width - but very manageable and responsive. Handle bar vibrates a lot more than expected. Right panier joint was a bit loose on my test bike. Do test ride it - and also test ride its competitions such as TransAlps, Vstrom, Tiger 660, and others.

    • @Joe-gi9lo
      @Joe-gi9lo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The problem being is the dealers ramming the price. This same bike in Australia (where they include the boxes + engine guard + driving lights + heated seat) is roughly the equivalent of $11,200 USD / 14,000 AUD. I just got back from a local dealer here in California ....out the door with the SAME +'s $18,465 ($7200 difference) without financing. Very good bike...I'd buy it in a minute...but I'm not putting some crooked dealers grandchildren through college .....

    • @LooxJJ
      @LooxJJ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Joe-gi9lo A couple more things I forgot to mention - do check the tension on the chain. All of the testing bike had such a tight tension. Also, a couple of them had front brake caliper drag. Could be minor issues, but do check before any ride.

    • @silotx
      @silotx 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@LooxJJ Same price range? The Suzuki costs 2k euro more in EU and also lack tubeless tires , heated grips / seat etc. The vstrom is better for off road but for long travels it is considerably worse without all the extras on the CFMoto apart form costing more. It had various problems in contrast to Suzuki that has better quality but they get ironed out with every iteration and they provide decent support so in a few years their are going to be considerate competitors , i don't know if they are going to raise the prices at that point though.

    I have this same bike (1000 miles) and I am having consistant "MCU critical system failure" message, and the throttle pulses at lower RPM's (bucks like a horse), dealership has not figured it out yet, I am starting to regret my purchase.😒
    😀EDIT AS OF 08/18/23 CFMOTO sent a OTA update through the CFMOTO Ride app, it updated the Radiator fan logic and has fixed my issue with the MCU error! My faith has been restored! the Throttle mapping reset proceedure has also helped the throttle pulsing issue I was having and I have learned to control the throttle better over time. Loving this bike each time I Ride it!

    I got a CFmoto 450ss and I’m blown away. I enjoy riding it more than my zh2! I’ve had it for a week and put 430 miles on it and I’ve romped on it the whole time. It’s extremely fun and the features are unbelievable. I can go into the app and look at every ride I go on and see all the stats. Lean angles, hard braking, fast acceleration ext. you have to try one on a first ride. It’s also extremely cheap to modify. I got pretty much all the mods I wanted for like 250$. That includes exhaust, quick shifter, tail tighty and some other things. I’m extremely impressed with CFmoto and I’m happy I got the 450

My GF also likes it cuz it's comfy on the backseat :) for a short rider like myself 5'6" it's okayish I would say. It has a wide seat so the 825mm feels more like 840 smth. Still, would reckomend this bike for everyone looking for a hellova bang for a buck!

    I have owned one in Australia since 2022 and agree with everything you have said. I have owned lots of bikes but this is the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. First ride was 450kms (281 miles) and I got off without any aches or pains anywhere. Did an across country tour (3500kms / 2187 miles in 7 days) on all road surface and spent 9 hours on it one day. This bike is brilliant!
    The bike handles long distance touring on either black top or dirt roads / tracks but would be a handful for a small bloke like me in really technical off road stuff.......buts its not designed for that.
    If you use the quickshifter for whats its designed for - quick shifting under hard acceleration it works just fine. If you use it as a "defacto" automatic its clunky. Just like my BMW 1200 RS that costs double the price!
    Wait and it wont be long that you insurance company will want to see your driving records and stats from the app in the event of an accident.....police too!

    That is the second time this week that I have heard the complaint about the cruise not kicking off if you move the throttle. I don’t remember ever having a car that kicks the cruise off with throttle input, and I wouldn’t expect it on a bike. If I rest my hand on the throttle, I don’t want it kicking the cruise off. Sounds like a good system.

    The power drops off like that because they restrict the bike with the ride by wire tables. You can twist the throttle as much as you want, but if the table says to back the throttle plates down to 70% after 5500rpm, that's all you get. An ECU flash usually cures that.

    To be honest traction control off road isn't a benefit. If you grew up or had the chance to ride exclusively off road bikes traction control can be a serious detriment in the wrong scenario. For the road definitely a benefit but off road not so much... for the cruise control the brake, clutch disengage function is totally the norm... one of the best ways for me to have a smooth disengage is to have my throttle held steady and tap my front brake before I let off the throttle... let's you come off the throttle nice and smooth or as abruptly as you want... great review and looking forward to your off road adventures.... currently own a BMW R1200RT and love it but want to get one of these for so many reasons... cheers 🍻

It’s not like a venom motorcycle or something. They’re putting in the work to build the brand. And I have to say. I don’t have an ADV and if I did it would likely be a something more off-road bias like a Yamaha Tenere 700 but this CF moto is a good looking bike, my main concern would be how it holds up once you start taking it off road and lay it down a few times. At 15:40 you're talking about the RPM and torque in different stages of the RPM. Funny enough it is way different with the restrictions we got in Europe. You say that the bike "dies off" at around 5500 RPM. For me, my bike does quite the opposite with the restrictions. It is very quick from 3.200 to 4.500 and then dies off and peaks again at about 6.400 rpm up to 9.500. Weird to drive imo but still quite enjoyable as other people would not expect it. Sadly this is only due to EU restrictions in exhaust fumes etc.

    One of these right now is for sale very very near to me at a dealership for like two grand off Canadian. It is a last year's model that didn't sell. I was set to buy a 2024 Honda transalp but with this Ibex being so near to me and being at least 2,000 Canadian off not including there's probably another $2,000 worth of equipment that is optional on the transalp like the engine guard and the engine protector frame heated hand grips etc. I'll be 40 percent highway 50% secondary 80kmph roads, maybe 10% gravel roads..
    Which one do you recommend. Honda dealer is half an hour of heavy traffic to get to... cfmoto dealer is a cakewalk away !...please say ibex. Lol

    CF Moto Ibex 800T resembles the Triumph Tiger 900. No doubt they studied the Tiger when designing this machine. Nothing wrong with that...the Triumph Tiger 900 line of bikes is outstanding. This CF Moto looks like a nice bike. Hopefully they will continue to expand in the US market.

    I have one and have a strange surge at deceleration and engine breaking... and I hate the gold wheels. Other than that I love it so far! As far as cruise control... I just open the throttle a tad bit like slight acceleration then flip the switch off. Otherwise the brake and clutch method are more disruptive if that makes sense.

      theres a real good chance thats just the engine shutting off due to emission. I had a stryker and it would do the same thing. Off throttle bike bucks and enginge shuts off. On throttle engine is back on and it bucks you again

      Mine does the surge occasionally too I've noticed. I have to decel and shift down very slowly I feel to avoid it doing it. If I shift down likea gear then one more real quick it seems to do it. So I have to just take my time tad more. Hopefully an update in future for this though.

    About the good exhaust noise, China strictly bans aftermarket exhausts, even if the aftermarket exhaust is quieter. When you change your original exhaust, you will get caught and fined. So CFMoto just make their exhaust good enough to counteract this.

    -MT-09 SP also can't deactivate by rolling the throttle forwards. I believe it has to do with the ride-by-wire systems they use for the throttle. When cruise control is active on my MT-09 SP, the throttle is in the fully CLOSED position. That may explain why you can't roll it forward to deactivate.-
    Edit: I was wrong, you can deactivate on the MT-09 SP by rolling the throttle forward
