Changing Hydraulic Filter In Vintage JCB - Not Been Changed In 40+ Years

  • The hydraulics were becoming progressively worse as time went on - not as much power as it used to have, hearing air sucking through the system when operating a lever and only being able to use one function at a time. Thankfully no mishaps and things are no working a lot better, with the correct amount of oil in the system too

    How can I get one of those hydraulic filters I am fixing up one of those machines.

      I got mine in my nearest JCB dealership. From what I remember it wasn't expensive. I think they used that particular filter on a few different machines over the years

      The seal under the canister is part no G83/2 and the o ring is 2401/0203 from memory. I used to work in a jcb dealership years ago. The original filters we sold were like the one you took off. They did not look like the replacement.
