The thing about this band is that they actually know what they are doing with their music. I love how each of their song has different styles. These guys make me want to sing along to their songs every time. Good Charlotte is honestly one of the uniquest band i know and love. Will always do.
Tøp is also a very unique band if your looking for that. They have all types of genera in one song, there lyrics mean things, very inspiring, and just great in general
Pigeons 101 yea.... I'm only a teenager, which sucks because I missed out on the best music era.... I mean, I can still listen to them, and I did get to hear a bit growing up, but I was so young then. Too young. Why couldn't I have been olderrrr
+Megatron yeah lol, they are kinda wierd but they are human too, they grow up, they change, its been so many years, so its not that surprising. besides, its not that bad, hahha
I'm glad we all grew up actually. It's so nice to chill out listening to good music while being comfortable with ourselves. Instead of trying to be so cool and hardcore.
Good Charlotte left band some of the best song EVER! ONE OF THE BEST punk bands of the 2000s!!!! Thank you guys for the awesome memories and childhood \m/ now I'm 25 wishing it was 2003 haha. Songs like the little things, and the motivation proclamation are treasures!
Bands have to evolve and that's what I love about this. Good Charlotte's sound is forever evolving and never going to be strictly the same, I love your old stuff but some of your new releases have brought a new era of GC to the table and I am once again completely in love with the new stuff you guys are producing.
I actually like them because the only thing that changed is their lyrics... they became more “pop.” Like blink completely changed and I think they’re shit now. But these guys stayed with their roots
Dang...Good Charlotte stay strong and keep making good music, hold it down as times are changing I like how they are not changing but not staying the same, more like evolving their craft
Went to see them in February on a whim, didn't realise how much i loved them! So so so underrated! Such a fun band! Absolutely loved reliving my teen years! Even if I am just a 9-5 bum now! Thanks guys, defo threw one heck of a party! Come see us again in London!
20 years you guys have had me hooked. Thank you for making me "hold on" or I would have not been a fan so long. Meeting you guys was the second best day of my life💙
Love how they mentioned Dre and Snoop outta respect because even though they make completely different music, it’s all music and the love for California! 🔥🔥🔥
i feel like they last big hit was "the river" with the guys of A7X, from that part and on, their music is like some kind of tasteless rock-pop. and idk how this guys went so big and famous. (the madden brothers). for me, their best songs was hold on and the river ,period.
@@Sleepwalkingok Not really, good charlotte was a bif thing when I was a teenage boy, the river wasn't their only commercial success, lifestyle of the rich and famous, cardiology, I just wanna live, are all hits, and are not so badly written, they were good tube makers and still are, it's just that time has changed and now electronic music is the norm and so it's an impossible mission for such a band to keep existing in an industry so competitive where the music they used to enjoy making is no longer the trend, therefore they decided to make fun of it and take is not so seriously, like 40 oz dream, for instance, considering the budget of such a clip, you'd be quite dumb to believe they're being first degree, it's all a joke, they know they are obsolete for the masses, but they have not always been so. Plus The maiden brother is totally fluent in Japanese and a wise listener would actually notice the Asian tonalities in some of their songs which is quite original combined with this punk rock pop American style. green day has not been so original since international superhit for instance... So... The offspring, green day, good charlotte, blink 182, are bands to be respected for their achievement, you may not like them, they feel outdated to you, but it has not always been the case, and in a sense, their music will always be relevant because they depicted an era, 1990 2000, just like Elvis and the rest of his fellow musicians and singers represent the 50s 60s
1985 was written by Mitch Allan, who was the frontman of SR-71. And he is still a songwriter. You can find an acoustic version of 1985 by Mitch Allan on TH-cam.
this will always be a banger the truth in the lyrics and just pure brillance in this song good charlotte will always have my heart and love i grew up with them just love there music so much
it's so Good Charlotte im loving it! back with a fun catchy song not the last 3 albums.. when they were trying so hard to be mature and lost the fun. it's like back in time for me when i was listening their lifestyle rich and famous..

I know the lyrics to every song if yours. Been listening since I was just a kid. Now, I'm 30 and miss those days. Please keep making tracks and staying young!!
Why is the younger kids listening to crappy Bieber music instead to bands like Fall Out Boy, this, Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low, and MCR (Like me and also I watch Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and The Simpsons).
Man ive got young and hopeless signed by the whole band. I will love these guys untill the day i die. The band that sings the anthems that call to an entire generation! Fucking love GC ❤️
Nena Galactica I personally think that some of their other songs from Young Authority are great, and I think this could've been but the auto tune and heavier synth influence really take away from it.

Bengie is right we are all 40 and grew up on MTV lmao ! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I love the lyrics! I feel so out of place today. Let’s go back to the late 90s/early 2000s!
The thing about this band is that they actually know what they are doing with their music. I love how each of their song has different styles. These guys make me want to sing along to their songs every time. Good Charlotte is honestly one of the uniquest band i know and love. Will always do.

Every Fucking album is a masterpiece of different
they're the savior of the current music era. along with NFG, they bring back the fun music
YESSS
All the punk rockers are over 40 😭😭😭😭 I'm having a hard time accepting that.
That part hurt 😭
Me too! :'( that and " ran outside to see its not 2003" :'( time seriously goes so quick it makes me want to cry my face off lol

Benji and Joel are still in their 30s
Brandon H gt they're 39...
its like my teenage band came back to life all through the years,
They look weird though now...but I guess its called growing up..happy and sad at the same time is a weird feeling lmao
Yeah, so true..really miss them alot..because some other bands weren't exist anymore..like MCR, jet, and others 😞
in my opinion they are as great as they were back then...they grew up, their fans grew also :)
+Megatron yeah lol, they are kinda wierd but they are human too, they grow up, they change, its been so many years, so its not that surprising. besides, its not that bad, hahha
+Noviana Nurhayati MCR is forever in our hearts. No matter what. On the bright side, at least GC returned.

Good Charlotte will always hold a special place in my heart no homo
THE MEMORIES! This was so good. GC still rocks.
I don’t hate this. It’s catchy. Good Charlotte is a guilty pleasure of mine. I revisit this band every now and again for some nostalgia.
Can't wait for this and life changes to get popular
We can only hope
they never will
Don't hope too much, pop punk isn't as easily popular and loved as they used to in the 00'
+Paramorered exactly that's why I said we can only hope, cause now a days this type of music won't get popular
+3DDuDeRuLeZ I'm 16 and I pray that this type of music would become popular again
Went to see them in February on a whim, didn't realise how much i loved them! So so so underrated! Such a fun band! Absolutely loved reliving my teen years!
Even if I am just a 9-5 bum now! Thanks guys, defo threw one heck of a party! Come see us again in London!
They are so cool! When I was 15 they were my favorite band, now I'm 22 and they still are my favorite band. I love them.
i like the message of the song. its all too true :(
Daniel Maydole sadly it is. No more rock on the radio, only shit songs, no more MTV and E is gone as well... fuck
Not at all what I expected from them but I'll take it!! Can't take for granted that all these good bands are back together/still together 😊
aw this makes me feel old but super happy! music like this just exist anymore. bring back 2000-2007 please!
"Now all the punk rockers are over 40" they're still kicking ass no matter how old they are

Is amazing to see these guys grow as I myself grow. Each track changes just like my view as I get older. They will forever be my favorite band💕
I woke up like it was 2003. I got a GC CD for my 25th birthday. lol
Love how they mentioned Dre and Snoop outta respect because even though they make completely different music, it’s all music and the love for California! 🔥🔥🔥
this makes me really happy but kinda sad ? : l
agree
I feel the same! The song is good but the truth of the song makes me sad.
lol
+Jacob Rush agreed. life was kind of the shit in 2003.
Happy I'm sure (':
I want to go back to 2003. That's what makes me sad.
Good charlotte is back ...
Best year ever 🙆🎉🎊
What's with the hate? These guys were awesome back then. Haters must be too young to understand.
That's a stretch

Same here I recon they've made a deal for this song to be used at least
XDDD
I was hoping for a Will Forte cameo :(
Seeing them together makes me so happy omg
I like benjis hat! :P
This song holds so much truth
looks like they're still preoccupied in 19..19..1985~
great vid tho
does sound exactly the same lol
I can definitely hear some elements of 1985 (the song) in this, which is kind of cool considering this is like the 2010's version of it.
i was searching for a comment on that. love both bands but definitely inspired by Bowling For Soup.

Wow I wasn't expecting to see Good Charlotte release a cover of 1985 by Bowling For Soup.
I'm sure 1985 sounds like some other band too. ;-)
Maybe, but that doesn't change that this sounds EXACTLY like 1985.
I don't know what 1985 you're listening too because this sounds nothing like 1985
Colton Harrison Honey, please go listen to them both again. They're the same chord progressions, the melodies are very similar.
They are quite similar but I feel like this song expresses different sentiments.
Can't wait to see these guys in March!!!!!!
Dad: turn it off
Me: why?
Dad: we have bigger speaker downstairs 😂
This song is so good
hahaha, soooo nice!
A fellow True lover of pop punk 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I can't believe it man, it's all so boring
Went down to Gilman

Nena Galactica I personally think that some of their other songs from Young Authority are great, and I think this could've been but the auto tune and heavier synth influence really take away from it.
THANK YOU!!!! I grew up on Punk Rock and this is just magical.
:D im a kid again
Wow, their sound didn't change much, but they still improved their overall musicianship. I'm impressed.
the irony of ripping on other people for being uncreative, by making the most generic pop song possible...
I am so happy they are back
