All your videos are a tutorial on how to make my 2019 2.0t accord perform greater than it already does! I dont know why you’re doing this but thank you!
I have a 2021 Sport 2.0T / 10 speed auto. OEM tires (65% tread) and 17,000 miles. K Tuner 1.2 with stage 2 map. PRL ethanol sensor, and the ethanol map activated in K tuner. 93 octane and 33% ethanol in the tank. If cruising at 40 mph on dry concrete road, it will spin the tires if you floor it. Those two things are possibly the most performance you can gain for about $1,000. HUGE torque gains. Count on it. 😁
I have both a 2018 accord daily and a 2019 rf. I just wanted to let you know that I’m blaming all the money I’m spending on my cars on you to my wife . On a serious note I just put the Michelin Sport AS +3 on the Accord and they improved everything .
Great info Chad. I've been running a hondata with a stage 2 tune on my 2018 2.0T or almost 2 years. No problem at all. I can toggle between the factory tune and the stage 2 using my eco button. There is a very noticeable performance difference between the 2 tunes. Worth the money for me.
So ktuner or hondata I know both are a win but I’m deciding to go with hondata, should I run a stage 2 base map ( I’m running 93 octane with a k&n cold air intake ) or get it dyno tuned by professional center near me?
@@TheLemonFactor alright thanks for the input!! Do you think it’ll add significant performance like night and day once I get the hondata tune, if so how much?

The tune is increasing the boost pressure, so, yes there will be some added “wear”, but if done correctly and with an eye on engine safety and longevity it should be minimal (results may vary) 😉
Hey Chad great video. Any thoughts on a manual transmission in the 2.0 ruining your clutch? I read all the threads below and didn’t see any comment. I also would assume wheel spin might be worse in first gear off the line. Thanks keep up the great videos
Thanks for the support! I’m sure with the added torque it’s going to be harder on your clutch, but if you’re not continuously dropping the clutch from a stand still you’ll probably be okay.
im getting the 2.0 allready have DC sports exchaust in line for it , but im afraid of warranty void if i tune it, will stage1 do much damage to the engine over time?
If you do have an issue with the car that can be contributed to the tune, I’m sure the dealer/ Honda will void the warranty for it. With that said, the off the shelf tunes that come from KTuner are pretty safe based on the data logs I’ve seen. In addition, I haven’t heard of anyone having any issues 🤞
It’s always a possibility that the dealer will give you a hard time. Technically they need to justify the denial of warranty support is due to the mod. If your engine blows and they know you have a tune, I doubt you’ll get it replaced under warranty, but if you’re power window motor breaks they shouldn’t be denying you 🤷♂️
Great informative video as always! Any plans down the road to pair this tune with future mods such as exhaust to see if those mods make any incremental differences?
Do not do it. Blew up my cvt at 3k miles… had to drop the trans and replace it myself with a refurbished ebay one. I have a 2.0 now and am too scared to tune it lol.

I would expect that if you drive conservatively, not taping into the extra boost and flooring it you should get stock MPG. In addition, they have a dual tune where you can revert back to the stock tune map in eco mode. 👍

I just got my ktuner and installed the 2.2 stage. Everything loaded as advertised. Got the Christmas tree warning lights but after driving for about 1/4 mile it went back to normal. Here's my problem. I went home turn the car back on and I get the Christmas tree lights warning again as if I just loaded a tune. Reflashed back to stock and everything went back to normal even after starting the car 3 times. I reloaded the tune again and same story with the warning lights. Any ideas of what's causing my issues?
Obviously that shouldn’t be happening. You might want to try loading a different tune to your KTUNER then reflash with that fresh new tune. If you still have problems reach out directly to either KTuner or the place you bought it from for guidance.

Chad my 2019 Touring was recently in an accident and was repaired by the dealer. Now I was pretty certain I was able to turn on the fog lights independently of the headlights prior to the repairs. Could you say if you are able to turn on your fog lights without turning on your headlight?
there are a bunch of Pros to doing a tune like this but im thinking what are the cons..... I may be wrong but in my mind they are this... 1: loose warranty ..... 2: gas gets more expensive from both having to purchase premium fuel and your fuel economy will go down even under normal driving conditions.... 3: with out an LSD or some serious performance tires its hard to lay down the power in this car .... are there any other cons you can think of or am I way off base here? (trying to convince myself to get one)
Yes, those are definitely some potential cons, with #2 and #3 being out weighed by the grin on your face. #1 could (crossing my fingers) be a problem 🤷♂️
Making more power does wear engines out faster. Most people know this. But check the X Accord forums and look for blown head gasket stories. Not many there.
Always, but it is the price you pay. Pretty sure Honda could tell if they know to look for it. As far as I know, there is only one way for a regular person to [probably] tell. Some ODB2 scanners can read number of times the car has cycled (started up). This count gets reset after loading a tune. Not definitive proof of a past tune, but really no reason for this count to get reset normally otherwise. Three year old car should have been started more than 50 times ;)
It’s always a possibility that the dealer will give you a hard time. Technically they need to justify the denial of warranty support is due to the mod. @@TheLemonFactor agreed and with these tunes being more conservative according to KTuner I would seriously doubt this will trash your engine or transmission
I do believe KTuner offers a tune for the 1.5 🤔. Yes, your dealer most likely will give you a hard time about the tune. However, they can’t totally void your warranty, but may refuse coverage for any issues that may remotely be associated with the tune.
What kinda mods can you do that won't void the warranty because I've seen videos of people having warranty trouble with ktuner and other tuners but I'm just looking for exhaust and intakes and blow off valve but for the exhaust I'm trying to go a cheaper route like cut the factory mufflers out and install cheap mufflers like glass packs or something I just don't know if it will void the warranty do you have any information on what will and won't void the warranty on the 10th gen accord with the 2.0T also I do all the maintenance on the vehicles we own this is are first vehicle with a 100k mile warranty will me doing the maintenance like oil flushes and things like that void the warranty or do I have to have a shop do it with a receipt that I save to prove it was done I hate this whole warranty junk to be honest makes it feel like it's actually not my vehicle
Why u keep makin me want to buy more stuff for my car. I always go ok this is the last piece then I see something like this and go well I kinda need it even tho I don’t
Although it’s for “off road use only” it’s certainly not illegal to have in your possession - although I am no expert and by no means giving legal advice.

Rather have someone experience with the tune to help do it right. Thanks in advance. If not no worries thanks anyways.
Yeah and when it goes tits up installing/reinstalling. You have a nice little brick. Please don’t do this if you are under warranty. If you do. You better be able to afford to play with having that chance of ruining the car. This is also going to put that much more wear and tear on the engine/turbo much quicker then stock.
@@xgnofearzthe10thgenlegend82 Oh so I now know nothing about cars when I use to heavily mod myself. I’m not getting into a pissing contest. The tune is increasing the boost pressure, so, yes there will be some added “wear”, but if done correctly and with an eye on engine safety and longevity it should be minimal (results may vary) 😉
Do you recommend a mid muffler and resonator delete what are the pros and cons
Do the K tuner or Hondata void the Honda warranty? I have a 2019 Honda Accord with the 1.5
It’s always a possibility that the dealer will give you a hard time.
Thank you, Art! Yes, I do plan on adding other mods incrementally to see how much additional hp/tq can be gained.
@@TheLemonFactor Great! Can't wait to follow along with your progression and see what happens!
Would you recommend getting this on a 1.5t too or just the 2.0?
My understanding is that there may be concerns with the added torque and the CVT transmission. 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor so its probably not the best idea to do it then huh
Do not do it. Blew up my cvt at 3k miles… had to drop the trans and replace it myself with a refurbished ebay one. I have a 2.0 now and am too scared to tune it lol.
@@angelgenx6658 holy fuck thats a rip man and yea im forsure not doing it lol i dont wana blow up my trans lol. Did u have it at stage 1 or 2?
do you know any fix for the HOOD FLUTTER (vibration) for the 2.0t accord ?
How bad is your hood fluttering?
@@TheLemonFactor accord ‘18 2,0t - the vibration can be seen at idle and also when driving on highway. I try to adjust the rubbers but no difference. The dealer say they never heard about hood vibration. On the ‘21 1.5t accord there’s 0 flutter maybe Honda fixed but how they did ?
I’m sorry to hear that, it must be very frustrating, both to have the problem and to find that Honda no help in fixing it.
Can you use this on a lease, honestly if I could buy the car I would??
Sure, but be warned that they may try to void your warranty, especially if they can contribute the problem to the tune.
The Only thing I didn't see or hear you mention is which Stage you chose. Was it just the 2.0?
Checkout the channel for subsequent videos in which I cover the install if the KTUNER as well as one in which I dyno the KTuner Stage 2 baseline map. 👍
Can you do a video on changing the charge pipes?
I will consider it. Although, it’s an expensive upgrade for what I believe will not add any performance gains 🤷♂️
what the difference between the Ktuner V and V1 is it just the screen or is it base maps as well? I assume the V1 is going to give you less gains
Tunes are the same for both. The V2 gives you the in car 5” display.
So you can ktune the accord with no mods?
Yes
do you plan on putting in a flex fuel kit ive heard the gains are massive such as 80 hp and 100 tourque
Not immediately, but yes, I do plan on it.
Hey Lemon 🍋 factor can you a video about oil catch cans while you are doing this mods. DO WE need them or Not on this vehicle. Thats my current biggest concern 2.0T especially
Check out the channel playlist for the 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 and you’ll find a couple videos on catch cans 👍😁
@@TheLemonFactor what's the video called for when you talk about catch cans?
great video very imformartive
Thank you, Andrew. I’m glad you liked it 😁
Do they work for the 1.5T also ?
I would be curious if there was any improvement MPG tunes. I will be getting one and it will probably stay in sport mode 99.9% of the time but I do travel a lot and better MPG could be beneficial.
I would expect that if you drive conservatively, not taping into the extra boost and flooring it you should get stock MPG. In addition, they have a dual tune where you can revert back to the stock tune map in eco mode. 👍
By installing this ...Can this void the warranty?
It’s always a possibility that the dealer will give you a hard time. Technically they need to justify the denial of warranty support is due to the mod. If your engine blows and they know you have a tune, I doubt you’ll get it replaced under warranty, but if you’re power window motor breaks they shouldn’t be denying you 🤷♂️
Noticed even when at cruise your cluster eco lighting always stay red. Is that a side effect of installing this tune?
No, that’s the car being in “Sports” mode. Separate from the KTuner.
Is this compatible to the 2021 honda accord sport 1.5??
KTUNER does have tunes available for the 1.5. Check out the website for details. 👍
What would you do to a 2020 Acura TLX 3.5L A-SPEC?
Ktuner will void the warranty?
Yes
Any plans on upgrading your motor mounts? Prob a good idea to do that before you begin the rest of the bolt ons.
No plans for motor mounts.
Do you still have a 120 mph speed limiter ?
The tune removes the OEM speed limiter.
could i still an exhaust kit to this Ktuner on a 2018 honda accord 1.5t
The KTuner will work with the stock, and aftermarket exhausts 👍
@@TheLemonFactor what about an up graded exhaust
Yes, it works with an upgraded exhaust.
@@TheLemonFactor thank you sir
No problem at all. Take care 👍😁
Does anyone know what the expected hp, torque gains are?

Will this same tuner work on a 10th gen civic hatch?
There is a KTuner for the 10th gen Civic 👍
Yes the same device will work across all applications
Honestly I wish I could go for a KTuner for my 2.0 but the one and only thing holding me back is that I cant risk voiding my warranty.
You can install the jb4 piggyback tuner, it doesn’t hard flash your ecu like kTuner or hondata. I just got done installing the jb4 and both maps 1 and 2 pull pretty hard...it’s doesn’t make it a drag car by any means but you’ll definitely feel the difference...will put a smile 😊
Does this work on the accord Hybred?
I don’t believe so, but checkout the KTuner website.
Anybody have problems with the dealer with a tune? If you remove it can they tell something was there?
Would you consider other mechanical modification plan such as Type R limited slip differential in Accord?
Absolutely!
Chad my 2019 Touring was recently in an accident and was repaired by the dealer. Now I was pretty certain I was able to turn on the fog lights independently of the headlights prior to the repairs. Could you say if you are able to turn on your fog lights without turning on your headlight?
No
2020 touring owner btw
I can turn on the day time running lights separate from the headlights but the fog lights have to come on with headlights on every car.
there are a bunch of Pros to doing a tune like this but im thinking what are the cons.....
They will never tell you the cons. Only the pros and how awesome it is.
Yes, those are definitely some potential cons, with #2 and #3 being out weighed by the grin on your face. #1 could (crossing my fingers) be a problem 🤷♂️
You should definitely do this mod if you wana blow your headgaskets at godspeeeeed
Making more power does wear engines out faster. Most people know this. But check the X Accord forums and look for blown head gasket stories. Not many there.
Please do a test of the Phearable stage 3 tune first!!!
It’s on my radar 😁
Can't wait lol you should have this feeling all over again. It's that serious.
Driver Mod? This is first word struck me while watching first minute of video. lol
No worries about voiding warranty?
Always, but it is the price you pay. Pretty sure Honda could tell if they know to look for it. As far as I know, there is only one way for a regular person to [probably] tell. Some ODB2 scanners can read number of times the car has cycled (started up). This count gets reset after loading a tune. Not definitive proof of a past tune, but really no reason for this count to get reset normally otherwise. Three year old car should have been started more than 50 times ;)
I'm in all the FB groups and on the forums and have yet to see anyone with a major issue have their claim denied from it. You can always flash back.
It’s always a possibility that the dealer will give you a hard time. Technically they need to justify the denial of warranty support is due to the mod. If your engine blows and they know you have a tune, I doubt you’ll get it replaced under warranty, but if you’re power window motor breaks they shouldn’t be denying you 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor agreed and with these tunes being more conservative according to KTuner I would seriously doubt this will trash your engine or transmission
Can I do these to a ‘18 Honda EXL Hybrid? Has anyone modded an accord hybrid yet? Send the links if it’s been done pls.
I'd love to do this but I'm afraid of voiding my warranty so bolts on for me will do it.
Bolt one can mess with warranty to I think
Not a mod for me. Tires cost way too much to burn through them. My touring feels good enough in sport mode without the tuner
Hey great video. Questions a this work on 1.5 regular sport and concern about my dealer warranty
I do believe KTuner offers a tune for the 1.5 🤔. Yes, your dealer most likely will give you a hard time about the tune. However, they can’t totally void your warranty, but may refuse coverage for any issues that may remotely be associated with the tune.
1053 for the ktuner v2 now 😤
I’m not sure where you’re looking, but I just searched and found plenty of places selling the KTUNER V2 for $650.
All ECU tunes will void the powertrain warranty
Does anyone make an LSD for the 2.0 10spd yet?
Good question - and one that I need to begin to look into
Is it safe to use the k tuner with a cvt transmission?
Why u keep makin me want to buy more stuff for my car. I always go ok this is the last piece then I see something like this and go well I kinda need it even tho I don’t
😂 you’re not alone 👍
@@TheLemonFactor hey man quick question so I got a ktuner right but idk if its illegal so can I openly display it or should I hide it ??
Although it’s for “off road use only” it’s certainly not illegal to have in your possession - although I am no expert and by no means giving legal advice.
@@TheLemonFactor second question is there a setting where it returns to the stock mode ??
There are different stages that KTuner offers for download, some which includes having the ECO mode act as the OEM tune.
"I am not going to increase my gas mileage with this ktuner" lol!!!
I was going to test the difference in gas mileage between stock and the tune - it’s not going to happen 🤣
@@TheLemonFactor Is it that bad?
Nah, if you stay off it, you’re fine.

👍. The tune in reference is available for the 2.0L engine regardless of trim level.
@ chad the lemon factory. Seeing that your close to me. Would you be able to give me a hand installing mine. Just picked up a 20 2.0t this pass weekend and this would be the first mod I would like to get out of the way. I would pay for your time and service of course. Rather have someone experience with the tune to help do it right. Thanks in advance. If not no worries thanks anyways.
Voids warranty
Come on stimulus
👍
Yeah and when it goes tits up installing/reinstalling. You have a nice little brick. Please don’t do this if you are under warranty. If you do. You better be able to afford to play with having that chance of ruining the car. This is also going to put that much more wear and tear on the engine/turbo much quicker then stock.
That is a possibility 🤷♂️. Cross your fingers like I am that it doesn’t happen and I can have fun with the extra HP/TQ ☘️
A base map is not gonna do anything to ruin your car.... I’ve been running 365 hp for 45k miles without issue now. I have much more than a Ktuner....
@@xgnofearzthe10thgenlegend82 You are only fooling yourself.
@@brenttitus2134 🤫 you know nothing about these cars. Been modding the accord platform for 17 years now.
@@xgnofearzthe10thgenlegend82 Oh so I now know nothing about cars when I use to heavily mod myself. I’m not getting into a pissing contest. But, if you don’t think pushing all that extra power is doing nothing to the engine/turbo over time. Especially if you want to keep it long term.
