As an elderly Dane I have and use a single T-bag, with a rain-cover, and some extra size front carriers, for what comes around, with adjustable octopus bands to hold the goods. I hardly ever use my bike during rain, because, as a now pensioner, I don't need to! But I like how the new bags look. My 2019 Superlight, with some additions, is now close to 9 kilo and still with my mudguards (I'm a Dane)! And not that much above a double price T-line, with mudguards, and still 6 gears 😄. Finn. Regrettably, the customer care system has fallen short of expectations. Despite making a significant purchase of two bikes totaling $4500, I have reached the conclusion to initiate a return. My experience with Brompton's purchasing process has been distressing, transforming what should have been a positive experience into a nightmarish one. Unfortunately, the price of the bikes is not reflective of the subpar customer service received.

I'm not sure how to calculate 'overpriced'. If the price of the product doesn't dent someone's bank balance and they get enjoyment from using it the bags will sell. They're well made from what I've seen and use nicer fittings than cheaper bags. @Dandydon6409 , have you had a €look at Eerder Metaal & Rijwieltechniek bags ,,,, ;) ;) ;)

A merely water-resistant bag with a big hole in the top is called a colander.

Brompton say they are water resistant. So I believe OK in a shower but not great in a massive downpour.

It is a very good question. As the bag comes with a rain cover I think it does not mean it is waterproof! It’s something we want to do a video on!
The clips are much easier if you push the metal bit back, the clip will almost compress itself then

i think it is just me.. i find Borough bags are pretty ugly .. i prefer a structured bag
I guess you mean not a roll top, I guess that’s what gives the expandability. Luckily there are other ranges.
