Only the B&W hard box offers sufficient protection Paul; having had my Brompton treated very badly by baggage handlers who have dropped, bent and broken rear triangle, rear wheel, hub gears. I also love the experience of travelling to the airport with only the bike and baggage but any soft cases are just not tough enough for the mistreatment - Heathrow has always been the worst!
Been enjoying your Brompton videos! Hello from across the pond (Chicago)! I have the Vincita sightseer and have travelled with it to NYC, Pennsylvania and just recently to Toronto Canada. Super easy packing and the garment bag (w/ my clothes) that goes over the Brompton protected my bike. Didn’t get any hassle from airline personnel when I checked in. I have been using an Apple air tag on my Brompton to track the bike in transit. Works very well. Thought I’d mention it just in case you might find it useful.
Thanks for watching and your comment. We haven’t flown with it yet so interesting to hear. Did you get any damage? And good shout ré the air tag 👍 we would certainly look to use one
Many thanks for posting this, it was very helpful. I'm torn between those and the Voyage Atlas Bag and the Voyage B.D.R. Bag and there's only a month left until Christmas 🤔.
I'm actually watching this twice after going to the Vincita site - really knocks a lot of the other bags out of the water. Its so great to be able to remove the insert and pack it freely - really a good plan. And the travel bag - wow, very well thought out - actually makes me consider bringing it. I fear flying w the Brompton - I've had bad experiences with luggage (US and US/Mexico). Just the fact that it will be oversized - I recently had a situation with oversized luggage that was quite disturbing - ALMOST lost my luggage - but I was determined. In both Mexico and the US - its a free for all picking up luggage, no oversight at all - and no accountability in the least. How has traveling with the Brompton felt for you? Yours very truly Jennie
The Brompton even in the old bag we had, wouldn’t be oversized in this. It would be a normal suitcase size 👍👍 and just make sure it’s super padded out. And thanks you watching twice! Haha. How lovely. On our IG we’ve posted a reel of the travel bag but haven’t yet popped on shorts.
Thanks Paul. Yes I’ve started using the front and rear bags daily - so far so good. The travel bag - we have done a reel on Instagram showing how it goes together. Currently trying to load it to YT shorts!
Great review - I have a small seat post back from this company and it has been great for short overnight trips - well made and also looks classy :-) I love the travel bike bag … thx for sharing.
Great to hear and thankyou for watching & commenting on our video. As you say your seat post is - these bags are so well made and we are looking forward to testing them on the bike in coming months 👍
Thanks for this. It would have been helpful to see the bike in the airline bag. Also, the link you provide goes to an overseas website which doesn't have the airline bag listed! Can you provide UK stockists?
Thank you for watching! Yes a good point, we will be doing a video actually using it but you are right should have tried it out here 👍 and they do… it’s through Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/s?me=A1I5LJ1SG3ZXEM&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P Or through their overseas link but then you pay customs I believe

As an owner of two padded pouches for my Bromptons folding pedal, for security, they are absurdly expensive, even coming from Asia!!! They are well made, indeed. But the Price!!! Finn. Denmark
@@veloworks9266 I could mostly buy a bag in Denmark for that price. But it is the only one bag for this purpose I have found anywhere, so that is the only reason I bought them! I still like my Brompton to look like new, even though the Factory has done its worst to prevent it 🤔!
You’ve certainly bagged this video , seen a couple of reviews on vincita , all have been good, not seen many reviews on roller wheels, some put on skateboards wheels for rolling there are a few options, just wondering if that’s on you radar?
@@veloworks9266 sorry not that clear my bag, I meant for the rear rack, or even without a rack, I’m sure you’re familiar with the different roller wheels be it wheel extenders there’s different options for wheel formats for mud guard rear.
We can easily sew a velcro mate underneath the Birch flap so that it sticks to itself, as you wished in your succeeding review video. Call it a hack, if you will.
if we mount this FRONT CARRIER FRAME for the sightseer 3.5, can the Brompton bicycle be folded down as normal? do i have to remove the frame before folding down? appreciate your reply. thank you
Would you or could you fly with all 3 bags? The brown Nash rack bag could be You're carry-on bag.. possibly. And the birch 2. 0 front bag could go under your seat in the cabin of the plane. Then you would have one checked bag which would be the sightseer with your Brompton in it. Once you get to your destination would it be possible pull the bike out of the bag and then stuff the Birch 2.0 front bag into the empty Sightseer? And then attach the sightseer to the front clip of the Brompton with the birch 2.0 inside of it. Then pop the Nash rack bag on the back rack and be on your way... Does anybody think this would be a good plan?
No I don’t think that’s possible to attach the birch 2.0 once you are at your destination. The sighseer comes with an internal luggage bag so it would be best to put any extra luggage into this and pad out the bag when it has the bike in it. Then carry these items in the sightseer when you travel if that makes sense
One who receives a gift can not dodge a cognitive bias when rating it's performance. That's why I put slightly more trust in reviewers who purchased a product with their own money and wait to review it until the warranty / return period had elapsed significantly.
I definitely won't fly with a soft bag for international travel. Just don't trust the bike handler will care about your Bromptop. Especially this bag doesn't look like a bike bag. I would go with the hard case Brompton (like B&W), even if people almost trip on your Brompton bag. I personally don't care... LOL. If I'm flying domestically, I would dare to use a soft bag. I've been using soft bag flying with my road bike domestically. But not international travel.
Yes agree a hard case protects your bike better but this bag has a different purpose in that you can clip it to the front of the bike to therefore have a completely different travel system where you can ride to the airport etc 👍
Great looking bags for those who carry plenty of kit. I travel light with just a small front, saddle and Decathlon bottle pouch. Thanks for showing.
Great - well done on such a light weight set up! And thanks for watching 👍
Your videos have become polished. Congratulations and thank you
Thanks! Every video and edit is a learning curve and appreciate you being here for the journey!
Great review! That rack bag is calling me…vamos!!!
Ah!!! Thanks for watching and glad you like it!!!
I have the original smaller Nash Rack Bag which is fantastic.
Can see that you are so happy to receive free gift. Good showcase of the bags. It would be nice to see the bag on the bike or the bike in the bag. 😊
Thanks! If you have Instagram we did put the bike in the bag in a reel 👍
