Yves Heinrich too far, the original one was funny but you felt the need to just repeat what he said and put your own little twist on it and that makes me sick you piece of shit
That last scene just proves how much we need a Darth Vader solo movie. It would be about Darth Vader hunting Jedi after episode 3. He would have to deal with taking orders from the higher ups, while he has to deal with his past. Have Jedi that he met in The Clone Wars show confront him, with Vader becoming more sinister as he kills more people.

Ninjagnome66 I'm against this, main reason is I subscribe to the idea that Vader only works in small bits of run time with huge payoffs last second, I feel that this is why they might have taken out some of those scenes we saw in the trailer. I'm not the only one who supports this theory, there are many TH-camrs who do so as well, I don't know who came up with it but it makes sense from a cinematography perspective.

The first version should exist, maybe excluding post-processing like missing special effects. But still, they could release it and I hope they put on the bluray as an additional directors cut or something, with or without post-processing. @Dormammu. I didn't think that until I saw your comment and now I would have to agree. Especially if they were anyway comic relief to the more dramatic aspects of the moive.
Vader looks at the Emperor. "The Death Star plans have fallen in the hands of the Rebel Alliance, should we be worried?" Emperor "No, there is another."
Blind nostalgia and empty fan service doesn't make it great. The sequels move the story on, which is far more interesting than "YOU REMEMBER THAT FROM THE OT HUH HUH?"
@@TheMacKosh bruh what. The sequels ruined anakins arc, which was the whole point of the original saga. Palpatine returning is just bad , and I can go on, but like, the sequels also just ruin the lore
@Anakin Skywalker for someone calling themselves Anakin Skywalker you obviously know jack shit if you think the prequels were ruined by the sequels. If anything TLJ enhances the message that the Jedi hubris allowed the Sith to destroy them from within. The sequels and Clone Wars made the prequels less shit.
I wanted to see more of Saw Gerrera, his part in the trailer made the empire look like it was actually something to be feared and he also only played a small timed role in the movie. You can't just give a guy a major part in the trailer and feature him for a few minutes in the actual movie.
Someone changed the directors mind by telling him "What will you do when Disney catches you? What will you do if _"the mouse"_ breaks you? If you continue to film, what movie will this become?"
MMMmmmmm... 7 trailers later, they solved the plot! ;) Is'nt this a rebellion? (not sure) I rebel anyway! :) ** Even had major problem with the soundtrack to the last minute!! :o BUT nice movie anyway! :)
There was a thing about a super graphic jungle scene with darth vader where rebel soldiers are telling ghost stories about vader and then he pops up out of no where and slaughters them

FlezzDurjis i think producers didn't like the movie, so they Made a prequel with the reshoots (and everyone was happy). This is an example where the producers Made the right move. I am not a fan of Rogue One, but many people seems to be.
I liked it for the most part, and I was happy they didn't use the "This is a rebellion, isn't it? I rebel" line in the final cut of the movie. That line made me cringe so hard I hurt my neck.
FlezzDurjis Isn't it good? The trailer reeked of Mary Sue and honestly, i was expecting one "strong female character" that could cripple Vader defying all laws of common sense like Rey did to Kylo Ren cuz why not? Also, "I rebel"
They decided Vader is not Krennic's bitch so why would Vader travel to Krennic to bitch-slap him? (the scene you see is krennic and vader on deathstar or scarrif command) So they made the more intelligent choice to ditch the scene and have Krennic act the bitch, and visit Vaders personal fortress for his slap down - which is much more appropriate.
I think taking out the parts where Jyn is running across the field of gunfire was a mistake. That would have been intense and felt like an actual war. To me, anyways.
I'm not sure how realistic it would be surviving that though. I like the idea of the other members of Rogue one distracting the rest of the army while she does the important stuff.
*Spoilers* i guess This could be reaching a bit, however do you think that the fact that Donnie Yens character could seemingly make blaster rounds miss him whilst chanting "I am one with the Force and the Force is with me" due to the fact that he had a large part to play in the completion of the mission and ultimately bringing balance to the force by allowing the next 3 movie to happen. Once he had completed his destiny, the force no longer protected him. Do you think that is could be said that the reason in the original films no-one got shot by storm troopers, who by the films own say so "And these blast points, too accurate for sand people. Only imperial storm troopers are so precise" was because the force was protecting the characters until they completed their own parts in bringing balance to the force.
He didn't get shot though, it was an explosion that killed him. That whole console that had the switch on it that he flipped blew up from something. Because his death bothered me a lot too, but when I rewatched the film again I noticed it wasn't a blaster that killed him.
Cyril I believe it's the theory that the Rogue One crew became the Knights of Ren, mentioned in the Force Awakens? I'm not sure though. I'm just a guy who's commenting because no one else seems to have an answer, and I'm attempting to enlighten those who don't have a clue.
The trailers were why I didn't go see it. Saw it the other day not expecting too much and was completely surprised by how good it is. Darth Vader scene alone is worth the price. I was wrong to pre-judge. This is the film The Farce Awakens should have been. One for true Star Wars fans.
well i expected a few characters to die but not all

+Dan Callahan Actually it makes sense...rewatch that scene again. See how pissed Vader gets? He always keeps his cool. But he literally shouted at Leia. Maybe because he knows how she's lying to his face?
Bob Pickleson true it was a handoff instead of a transmit but Vader pretty much stepped foot on the corvette. it makes it seem like the proper reaction would be "I was just on this damn ship 3 days ago I saw you do it biotch"
Examinedcat669 It also begs the question on why this film was even made? if not for pure fan boy service and a big paycheck for disney.. i mean we know pretty much Whats gona happen.. they get the plans... and defeat the empire.. in a new hope.. so the tension and suspense is pretty much null and void.. in R1.. Just saying.. i give them credit for diving a little deeper into the lore with vader and the jedi planet.. but that alone cânt hold up for a 2 hour film.. on top of that You really dont care for these characters... mabye jyn and donnie yen's character but even then its just not enough character development for me to give a shit.. Vader sold the trailer without him in the film ... it woulda been a bust... alo t of pissed off fan boys.. the ultimate problem tho to me is .. the film is 30 years too late.. it doesnt messh well with a new hope.. mainly because that film is 30 years old.. and it shows..
Something I would have like to have been included was, during the Vader hallway scene in the end, on of the troops, who realizes he's not getting out of this situation, gets a grenade off his belt has Vader approaches him, pulls the pin, and tries to blow up the Dark Lord suicide bomber style. Now, clearly, this would kill Vader, but it would damage him enough to explain he seemed to fight comparatively slower when confronting Obi-wan in A New Hope. Just a little something to explain why that fight wasn't as good say the final Revenge fight, which is something that the Nostalgia Critic brought up in one of his videos.
To me it was like Michael Giacchino was forcing the score (lol force pun). It wasn't anything creative or new in terms of cinematic style, so in that sense I was disappointed. Clearly the tone of the music should evoke the classic SW soundtrack for continuity but it sounded like Giacchino was tiptoeing around the melodic content to create something new (variations on the original theme). He succeeded but it sounded corny and, again, forced
@@kannaman211 Well, in my view, they do not really stink, but the sequels are not great at all, that's for sure. the last one had some moments, but its a fan service movie. Il liked "Force Awakens", but in the next two, there's a lot of let down stuff on it. For me, the downfall of Star Wars began with the prequels. "Revenge of the sith" was the "the decent one", at best.
I'd love to see Vaders castle turn up in Episode 8 as somewhere Kylo Ren uses as a hideaway but it's all rundown and disheveled. He could use the Sith power source underneath as a way to further himself or possibly corrupt Rey
This is the first time that I genuinely want to see a Director's Cut version of a film. I think what happened is the movie wasn't family-friendly in tone and the heroes weren't likeable enough (read: ethically murky) so Disney panicked because they didn't want a backlash from families over Christmas. If this is the case I totally understand but I don't see why we can't get a Director's Cut with the Jynn Erso shown in the teaser and the beach battle scenes etc.
The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force.
I'm so glad they left out that "I'm a rebel, I rebel" scene, it sounds weird and kinda bad. Imagine if Jyn was a Bounty Hunter "I'm a Bounty Hunter, I... Uh... Hunt... Bounties".
I would have loved to see those missing Vader scenes where he's actually ON the Death Star, with Krennic talking to him. It could have been redundant with the Tarkin scenes though
Someone should do a mockumentary movie where directors film a blockbuster solely on green screen then make a separate secret practical effect version so the studio doesn't find out and they get told by the studio they are getting sued as their secret cut premiers at a festival to cheers.
Especially if it’s after his rebirth as Vader and before the new hope, that time where he went and hunted down all the different Jedi who survived order 66
Really not sure about a han solo spin off movie. They have to recast, whereas a standalone obiwan movie (thanks to Ewan Mcgreger expressing interest in returning) and a standalone Vader movie could be two genuinely spectacular movies that truly fill the void between what is now episode 3 and Rogue one
R1 was the best SW movie for me. Darth Vader in battle for the first time. Darth Vader's castle. Great space battle. Walkers on the beach. All it was missing was the TIE fighters going thru the jungle. There was more SW in R1 than there was in any of the saga movies. But Vader in action at the end ... worth the price of admission alone. I lost my shit the same way I did 41 years ago.
WhIle I understand your point, Chirrut was a Guardian of the Whills. While certainly not force sensitive in anyway, he certainly would've had a understanding of how the force worked.
Scuffy P no, he doesn't man. WTH. If the writers don't understand how the Force works, why are you trying to excuse the writer by stating who the character is? It doesn't make any sense. Disney just substitutes God with the Force, that's all they do
I think Chirrut was very Force sensitive. Not a Jedi, but definitely Force sensitive. Chirrut and Baze are 2 of my favorite characters in the whole movie, though I love all of them. Great movie!
And that is the reason, why i stopped giving a damn about trailers a long time ago... trailers tell too much, often the wrong things and they form sort of a mood that is not met in the movie... Trailers are just not honest anymore.
Worst bit about rogue one is waiting until 1977 for the sequel

The sequels and Clone Wars made the prequels less shit.
best moment when the stormtrooper puts a bag over his head "are you kidding me? I'm blind!"
That was one of Saw’s Rebels.
I wanted to see more of Saw Gerrera, his part in the trailer made the empire look like it was actually something to be feared and he also only played a small timed role in the movie.
You can't just give a guy a major part in the trailer and feature him for a few minutes in the actual movie.
Jorgen Pakieto IKR
Episode VII Snoke tho
They literally did that in Suicide Squad.
The things people get away with smh
Jorgen Pakieto ya don't ever watch the trailer for executive decision with Steven segal..dude died in first ten minutes but it was ok Bc he sux anyway
Janny Verveer
I can't wait for the rogue one super ultimate extended extra Vader edition.
"The POWER that we are dealing with here, is immeasurable." I'm upset they cut that line, the delivery was perfect!
I think they should have shortened Tarkin's screen time.
Cyril That would be dumb.
yes that would be so amazing
i had no problem with it. I thought all of tarkin was great
kvnd7331 same, even the cgi leia, I didnt get bothered by them at all, but hey who the fuck cares, right we all have different oppinions.
The Legendary Husquin I've been looking for you guys all over the internet. It seems like everyone hates the CGI, but I thought it was great.
Someone changed the directors mind by telling him
"What will you do when Disney catches you? What will you do if _"the mouse"_ breaks you? If you continue to film, what movie will this become?"
BlackEagle352 XD mate that was hilarious!
What's this parodying?
The Rogue One Trailer XD
LOLOLOLOL
MMMmmmmm... 7 trailers later, they solved the plot! ;) Is'nt this a rebellion? (not sure) I rebel anyway! :) ** Even had major problem with the soundtrack to the last minute!! :o BUT nice movie anyway! :)
I loved Rogue One! I wouldn't have changed a thing, they did a great job!
There was a thing about a super graphic jungle scene with darth vader where rebel soldiers are telling ghost stories about vader and then he pops up out of no where and slaughters them

Ginfleid Steinmen attorney at law one*
you done messed up
Taine Davis
Trust your feeling's
Jeez, that entire trailer wasn't in the movie.
I was happy.
The entire final cut was cringe-tastic. Apart from the final 3 minutes.
FlezzDurjis
Isn't it good? The trailer reeked of Mary Sue and honestly, i was expecting one "strong female character" that could cripple Vader defying all laws of common sense like Rey did to Kylo Ren cuz why not?
Also, "I rebel"
It was so cool to see Mordor in a Star Wars movie!
Conor Harte in the theater my stoned friend yelled Mordor out loud when we saw it and everyone on the place was cracking up😂
I would've liked to see the Krennic/Vader "Immeasurable Power" scene still in the movie
To be fair, Tarkin killing him fits a lot more better. I like both options either way.
This was a great movie. I really liked that they killed everyone at the end. That was my only complaint about Civil War, that nobody died.
john papaspiliou A year later Infinity War is out and your foreshadowing is brilliant...
This comment has aged perfectly
Shivy XO and now with Endgame being out, it’s aged brilliantly. 😂
Rogue One was definitely a first for most movies: all the main characters, die
Crows Receiving Organization C-R-O Ikr
And one main character was already dead before the movie started shooting
Crows Receiving Organization C-R-O
It's a spin-off that was also meant to fit into the continuity so....
Rex Galilae true
James Hope yup, all truz
Seeing gruesome violence in Star Wars was incredible. More murder plz Disney
The scene that was missing from this was Jar Jar Binks getting on a shuttle to Alderon.
I really think this movie is the Halo Reach of Star Wars
I think taking out the parts where Jyn is running across the field of gunfire was a mistake. That would have been intense and felt like an actual war. To me, anyways.
Austin Green I agree
yes
Austin Green But it also might have been over complicated and bloated.
I'm not sure how realistic it would be surviving that though. I like the idea of the other members of Rogue one distracting the rest of the army while she does the important stuff.
Anyone catch the Troopers discussing the T-15s becoming obsolete?
I loved Rogue One. It is probably my favorite of the franchise.
Glad to be early!!!
Ya know the rumor is if your this early,
Mr Sunday movies won't give a shit about you anyway...
A Person Sorry friend, another person beat you to it. By 2 seconds.
Hideous Gourd yeah I know, that's why I changed the comment to say that I was early...
A Person shut up bitch
Bradley Maines dude calm down,it's just a joke....
is it a joke you give this guy money & he doesn't care about you
*Spoilers* i guess
This could be reaching a bit, however do you think that the fact that Donnie Yens character could seemingly make blaster rounds miss him whilst chanting "I am one with the Force and the Force is with me" due to the fact that he had a large part to play in the completion of the mission and ultimately bringing balance to the force by allowing the next 3 movie to happen.
Jordan Lefley your knowledge of the force is impressive. The force is strong in you.
Jordan Lefley Jon solo covered this in a theory if you are interested
Jordan Lefley well since im the chosen one, that means the force will protect me because it has to so I'm invincible!
He didn't get shot though, it was an explosion that killed him. That whole console that had the switch on it that he flipped blew up from something. Because his death bothered me a lot too, but when I rewatched the film again I noticed it wasn't a blaster that killed him.
william dechant true the China premier was huge
Only downside of the movie is that MattPats theory isn't true
Mijat Bojovic *MatPat's
Mijat Bojovic Of course it wasn't
Cyril film theory channel. it was a really good theory! Unfortunately not true.
That's not a downside
Cyril
I believe it's the theory that the Rogue One crew became the Knights of Ren, mentioned in the Force Awakens? I'm not sure though. I'm just a guy who's commenting because no one else seems to have an answer, and I'm attempting to enlighten those who don't have a clue.
Not sure if someone mentioned this but they used footage and audio from A New Hope for some of the pilot shots in Rouge One. Just FYI.
Joe Ferrara I thought this was obvious.
I feel like the trailers show a whole different movie
The trailers were why I didn't go see it. Saw it the other day not expecting too much and was completely surprised by how good it is. Darth Vader scene alone is worth the price. I was wrong to pre-judge. This is the film The Farce Awakens should have been. One for true Star Wars fans.
Anyone up for a Jar Jar stand alone story?
No? Just me then?
seahawk124 get out
If he turns out to be the worst sith lord of all time like we all know he is...
Cathy Bourgeois were not stupid we all know it's a bot.
I'd watch it. I really want to see Jar Jar die
The film begins with an elderly Jar Jar Binks standing on the balcony of his luxury penthouse apartment. He looks up into the sky and see's nothing...
That 8-Bit scene was awesome!
i wish they didnt kill k2so. but really, who doesnt wish that. he was frigging awesome!
I liked the movie as it was, I am a little disappointed that marketing did what they did but whatever. We got the movie we got and I liked it
Looks like they are gonna have to CG Carrie Fisher into the next Star Wars...
Snop Doog Unless they killed off Leia.
Well episode 8 is already completely filmed so we're good for that.
Wixard no
Aelgagar episode 9 might be a problem but who knows what happens to her in the 8th episode
Snop Doog LONG TIME NO SEE LOL
The Darth Vader ending scene was a f*cking massacre!
that shot of the TIE rising up in front of Jyn still give me goosebumbs
Cern Stormrunner yes, and it's only a couple of seconds. There must be a longer version of that shot somewhere, but I haven't seen it.
well i expected a few characters to die but not all
Knights of Ren, kiddo
+Dan Callahan Actually it makes sense...rewatch that scene again. See how pissed Vader gets? He always keeps his cool. But he literally shouted at Leia. Maybe because he knows how she's lying to his face?
Bob Pickleson true it was a handoff instead of a transmit but Vader pretty much stepped foot on the corvette. it makes it seem like the proper reaction would be "I was just on this damn ship 3 days ago I saw you do it biotch"
Bob Pickleson Your talking about the liar and traitor scene? in a new hope.
Just a little something to explain why that fight wasn't as good say the final Revenge fight, which is something that the Nostalgia Critic brought up in one of his videos.
rogue one's music kinda felt off brand it was the same theme generally tho
Taylor Lee yea
To me it was like Michael Giacchino was forcing the score (lol force pun). It wasn't anything creative or new in terms of cinematic style, so in that sense I was disappointed. Clearly the tone of the music should evoke the classic SW soundtrack for continuity but it sounded like Giacchino was tiptoeing around the melodic content to create something new (variations on the original theme). He succeeded but it sounded corny and, again, forced
This was an amazing film
10:43 When your R2 unit gets smashed before you've finished the pre-party drinks
I think the chamber below Vader's Castle is the most intriguing possibility from this video!
I wanna see my Darth Vader horror film! Damn you DISNEY!
I really enjoyed Rogue 1. I especially liked how they tied it directly into episode 4.
Vader killing f*cking Rebels 😍😍 Perfection! 😍
I want to see why Saw Gerrera made his speech. It's so perfect, I'm so disappointed they left that part out!"What will you become?"
Yeah that was a fat letdown
So... they destroy Jedda and Scarif. How do they power up and rebuild the 2nd Death Star (in Return of the Jedi)?
Ebon Kim Pagge survived in the first death star destruction and knew how to rebuild it
Claudio CLS They never did figure out the explodey glitch. probably should stop randomly killing their engineers
+Druth Vlodovic they wanted to be like the Pharoahs of old, killing the architects of their pyramids.
Ebon Kim its kinda weird tbh how they built a death star in less than 3 years
Ebon Kim there's a good video explaining this somewhere.
Rogue One is the best movie of the Disney era. Not only that, is the best Star Wars movie since the original trilogy.
I agree it's very good and it shows that Disney can make a good Star Wars movie but boy did the sequel trilogy stink.
It wasn't meant for audiences under 12
It's a Star Wars film. Their target audience is the family audience. It's meant to be suitable for kids of all ages.
The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force. The force is with me, I am one with the force.
Jed Christensen lol
Jed Christensen It's actually the other way around, though; "I am one with the Force, the Force is with me". Common mistake :-)
"I mean.. I can change it, but I wont." Lmaooo fckn luv this guy😂😂😂
I'm so glad they left out that "I'm a rebel, I rebel" scene, it sounds weird and kinda bad. Imagine if Jyn was a Bounty Hunter "I'm a Bounty Hunter, I... Uh... Hunt... Bounties".
16-bit Vader : A Star Wars Story
Coming December 2018
I would have loved to see those missing Vader scenes where he's actually ON the Death Star, with Krennic talking to him. It could have been redundant with the Tarkin scenes though
Someone should do a mockumentary movie where directors film a blockbuster solely on green screen then make a separate secret practical effect version so the studio doesn't find out and they get told by the studio they are getting sued as their secret cut premiers at a festival to cheers.
Do not choke on your aspirations...director...
I would honestly love to see a movie just about Vader. Thoughts?🤔
Less is more
Especially if it’s after his rebirth as Vader and before the new hope, that time where he went and hunted down all the different Jedi who survived order 66
Really not sure about a han solo spin off movie. They have to recast, whereas a standalone obiwan movie (thanks to Ewan Mcgreger expressing interest in returning) and a standalone Vader movie could be two genuinely spectacular movies that truly fill the void between what is now episode 3 and Rogue one
i would be much much happier with a stand alone darth vader movie.
K2 was the best ever no argument
isn't he a child friendly version HK-47, though?
So what happened to all those Bothan spies who lost there lives, securing the Death Star plans ?
Otis Carter that was the second death star
Rogue Two
Otis Carter fuck bothans
Otis Carter it was Manny Both-Hanz who died.
that ending scene with vader! dayuuum it was good :D
Patrik literally the best part well that and when ever the death star fired.
I wish they kept the scene with Flo (3:16) so it could be a very very VERY big easter egg to STAR TOURS...
...or have a backstory that's connected with her.
Jyn and Cassian's exchange of "good" would have been nice to see
I did like that they removed "I rebel"
I just wish they didn't make Chirrut talk about the Force in almost every line. I keep thinking of Han Solo saying: 'That's not how The Force works'
Notice in the film how Vader slices the guy open while he's still stuck to the ceiling lol
That scene with Vader at the end was awesomeness....if I'd played video games before and saw that, I might have died
Super Rogue One for the SNES. That would be Lit.
Can I just have a darker (and I mean DARKER) themed star wars movie? I want the tone of what the trailers were in a movie.
Dominic Trinh a Vader movie. I mean, ROTS is pretty dark... But a brutal, cold, sad, tragic Vader movie
You got titty milk instead I’m sorry...
that right there is the funniest thing i've read all day. Epic and it's from 7 months ago. XD
Vader / Tarkin / Palpatine movie
I think it could be if they actually pull off the old republic movies. That could have some ancient and evil sith stuff in it
And that is the reason, why i stopped giving a damn about trailers a long time ago... trailers tell too much, often the wrong things and they form sort of a mood that is not met in the movie... Trailers are just not honest anymore.
Rogue one is an example of how beautiful cinematic universes can be using material without an agenda
I love the ending from darth Vaders scene best scene in Star Wars history
I would've liked to see Jyn walking towards the tie fighter
Will Mulligan She is much more interesting to watch when she is running
You DID see it.
@@lucasoheyze4597 So what did he see???
they should've had Ackbar and the origins of stuff being traps.
It amazes me how much some people know about Star Wars. Thank goodness for you guys! 😊
