Volleyball can be one of the hardest and can be one of the easiest, if you play just “ underhand serves, bumb receives, and no setting or ‘setting ‘ to someone not even jumping to hit or simply ‘set’ over the net then easy.” But if you do the 3 touch properly “ opponent float serve or jump serves, and libero receives first shot, then setter do a set then oppo or outside hit a spike down hard, and opponent block on the net, not easy at all, it’s like badminton actually, play out the backyard easy but properly and competitively not easy at all
I totally agree about height, but i think that goes for liberos too. Liberos are normally considered to be shorter but you can definitely play the libero position even if you're a taller person. It's all about skill
@@goated_aone If I'm a coach, I'm not going to have anyone playing a libero if they are tall and skilled enough to play front row. That makes no sense whatsoever. Lest we forget, the primary role for an outside hitter, is passing/serve-receive.
it was actually hilarious i was the tallest person on my team and usually an oh but one year i was just libero and im like excuse me why??? it was funny tho
You can practice almost anywhere if you are doing drills w/o the ball (i.e. agility/ladder drills/plyometrics). If you can find a decent wall, you can do set to yourself or pass to yourself drills against it. I do the set drills in my living room because I have a vaulted ceiling. However, that's all because I almost broke my lamp when trying forearm passing drills...ball can get out of control quickly.
I’m 5’4 and I’m a really good opposite hitter, I still miss some of my serves which I need to work on. I absolutely love volleyball and PMEVolleyball makes me understand volleyball more. Thanks PME
I would really appreciate it if you made a video about at-home drills! I dont really get to many chances to play volleyball on a court with others and im at home alot so it would be really helpful
I’m 6’5 with a decade of basketball training. It was pretty easy to be dominate. But I was born with a gift of height so it will be much more different for others.
I have a pair of ankle braces that I wear during school tryouts because they always end up asking me to set (I don't really trust our passes & I don't work much as a setter elsewhere). The one day I don't wear them and I go up front for a rotation, and first block I immediately roll my ankle :p
It’s the hardest sport to remain consistent Be it either serves,Digs or hits. And just to me Middle is one of the tougher positions for this one reason. You run around in circles and depending on your setter you will see the ball maybe 3 times a set. So you have to block to get your points.
If I get a decent pass, and their middle doesn't go up with my middle, my middle is getting set. Even if their middle does go up, I still may set my middle, esp if they can hit around a block.
I’m like my kill rate at middle was better than my Opp KR so I got it the ball was going down the problem was or L would put it in the middle of the court on serve receive. Or on the rare occasion it was good our setter would always go outside or Opp first. Long story short defense was bad.
Okay so I'll try to explain this weird thought. If the ball is coming towards you on the third hit and you slap it so far down that it goes under the net is it in or out
No. That counts as 'you hitting it into the net'. 100% on you. Now, if the other player touched the net before you swung into the net, it would be on them.
You say height doesn't really matter because passing and serving are so important (putting aside height helps serves) why do you rate liberos so low on game impact?
I’m not even in the team yet the first time I played with people older then me was last week when my coach just randomly chose two person to go play with them I was very scared but it turned out better then I thought. anyway I do not know how to set the ball I’m 9years old thanks.

Worst myth: Volleyball is easy
Compared to other sports (play fb/vb) it's relatively easy due to it not being very popular
What are you talking about volleyball is really hard to play
@@SleepyAlpineVillage-ht5erDepends on your skill🤔

Indeed
Setting the ball is a really tough concept to understand. It's almost like a reflex
I totally agree about height, but i think that goes for liberos too. Liberos are normally considered to be shorter but you can definitely play the libero position even if you're a taller person. It's all about skill
i know a few libs who are tall enough to play other positions but just play lib because theyre really good at passing
Yes. I agree. Wisconsins libero last year was their previously 6’0 OH Julia Orzol. And men’s liberos are on average 6’2

I truly agree that volleyball is one of the hardest and in fact, *THE* best sport of all time.
I’ll admit, volleyball looks really easy and straight forward but when you’re actually in a game and under pressure it’s really difficult
Take a shot every time he says “The game of volleyball”
Hiii, this is a little off topic butttt…. I MADE MY SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TEAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Congrats I’m proud of you 👏 🎉
Good job I didn't😅 they choose favs
Pls do vid of ways to practice without a court

Can you make a video on how to eat/workout to be a better volleyball player

Really good?
Really good?
Under one hour gang! If I’d seen this video before I started a few months back, my life would be so much easier
I would really appreciate it if you made a video about at-home drills! I dont really get to many chances to play volleyball on a court with others and im at home alot so it would be really helpful
Volleyball is hard and I learned that when I used to think it was easy
I’m 6’5 with a decade of basketball training. It was pretty easy to be dominate. But I was born with a gift of height so it will be much more different for others.
it´s true you can be good if you are not tall but you cant be an elite opposite hitter if youre 5´7
hey man i would i love it if u would do a vid on get better without a net

It's not easy but it's not hard, it's just a little bit confusing.
You’re my inspiration😭🙏 hope to play with you once I get better! As someone who REALLY wants to become setter, any tips??
Me tooooooo help😭

Don’t say something is easy until you try it at that level 🔥🔥
Love ur videos bro
Please tell me how you train when not at a volleyball practice I can’t figure it out but I want to get better so I can play more
Agility drills and plyometrics. You can also do squats and lunges whilst balancing a volleyball on your forearm passing platform.
Tryouts today wish me luck💀🙏🙏🙏
Still no men's volleyball in Texas man, COME ON GET IT TOGETHER HOUSTON
2:10 video begins
I think middle or setter are the hardest positions. Could you do a video on volleyball rotation? I need some help 😭
Okay so I'll try to explain this weird thought. If the ball is coming towards you on the third hit and you slap it so far down that it goes under the net is it in or out
Nice Vid ❤️
As a middle myself, I got a little bit tense a no. 10, but then I remembered the other video and realized that PME just joking.😅
Still don’t have it in rural Montana. 😢 2:17
Maybe if your governor John Dutton would catch a break from dealing with his ranch issues, he might have time to allocate some funds for that. LOL
Hey im a huge fan and i love playing volleyball, i recently got an offer to come play at LBC, any tips?
5:14 ... I am 4'11 😭 Is it still possible to play volleyball?? 😭
how do rotations work?
Bro is probably held hostage by his midlle for saying that
the hair is hairing today pme👍
Can the setter only be in the front row
Can you hit the ball really hard into the net so the net touched the player on the other side and would it count as a net foul
No. That counts as 'you hitting it into the net'. 100% on you. Now, if the other player touched the net before you swung into the net, it would be on them.

I absolutely hate when people say that Volleyball is ex like go try it your self if you think that😎😓😑
Not the pickleball comment 💀

Mpv Real fan are you here
Most of the time it is the soccer players that say volleyball is easy
Why do some hs leagues allow the libero to spike? I played a game where the other team's libero spiked without violation💀
being here ths early might be criminal
make a dream team
but vktry insoles are expensive...
