  • Performance test results of the RaceChip S plug-in chip tune, installed on a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T with Tiptronic transmission and no other performance modifications. The big question is, "does it work"? Watch the video to find out how much performance improvement, if any, this mod might offer.

    Good video. I was just looking at one of these for my '06 A3.

    Great to see a review with some independent data. A lot of these feel paid. Just installed mine on my 2016 CLA 250 and have stepped through the settings and am settled on 4. Definitely a bit of extra pep but I'm looking to see what it does to my mpg because I'm concerned it's going to drop. So far happy with it though. Thanks for the review!

    My car is a 07 b7 190k and I wanted to ask would you say this made it less reliable? It's high mileage and don't want to diminish it's reliability by adding more psi and maybe blowing it up.

      I've not had any issues since installing and even if I had, it would be hard to attribute them to this mod. It's a relatively tame mod and I've run cars with more extreme tuning in the past without any problems. My car is at 220k and I go 10k between oil changes and never need to top up. There's no doubt that any mod will stress things a little more but like most things, these cars are over-engineered and shouldn't need much extra care when adding a few extra HP. Still your choice but if your engine's in good condition I'd say the risk is low. There are "stronger" chips available, both from Racechip and others that I'd be more worried about with an older engine and might call for more frequent servicing.

    Hi would you mind update on the performance now after close to 2 years using it I guess? Any issues so far? Thanks in advance

      No issues at all. I haven't driven the car much over the past 6 months.

    Did you had any check lights? Any errors? Does it still works? Wanted to know i got an A6 4f 2006 3.0 tdi quattro tiptronic

      No check lights or errors. Been running it for just over a year. It took me that long to get around to doing the testing.

    What setting did you run? Default setting 3?

    • @OrdinaryWorld
      @OrdinaryWorld  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, whatever the default is. Never tried anything else. That would be a whole new can of worms and I'd probably damage something doing endless test runs.
