I can 100% confirm this. I end up using that a lot in my runs in that fight. It even fills up the Chaos Gauge to the max really fast. Half the gauge is filled up when the arm you attacked is destroyed after you use Chaos Control, and the chain reaction to its life support rig fills up the remaining half.
It's great to see Mephiles the Dark Again as well. You know, he's a playable character in Sonic mobile games like Sonic Runners, Sonic forces speed battle, Sonic dash, Sonic dash plus and Sonic prime dash.
Something I love about Mephiles’s boss fight is that he will actually adapt to how you fight. If you choose to perform a beat down instead of performing doom blast, Shadow will eventually perform a round house kick on Mephiles. But he tried doing the second time, Mephiles pull out, energy sword and try stabbing you, if you don’t hit him with a chaos spear to counter, he will damage you
You can use Chaos Control the second time the Biolizard slams his hands on the ground and when he does the giant slam attack to freeze the arms in place and take out a ton of health. This is pretty much vital to the Hard Mode version

I'm not sure what's going on here. 3:44 I don't know how much this expedites the process, but you can Chaos Control while he has his "arm" on the ground and attack it like normal, and that'll do the damage! You won't have to Homing Attack the bubbles to get up to the life support rig. He does stop for a bit after you do this, though, so keep that in mind as well. I'm glad to see you back, my man! Mephiles is probably my favorite boss in this game, even though I haven't played '06, nor was I a big fan of the Doom Morph on my first playthrough.

Random thought: Neo Devil Doom is what I feel every Super Sonic fight should control like, at least flying-wise (except maybe amp up the intensity of the movement), that + some combat would be really nice, but yeah I feel like they never got Super fights right until this one (which is ironically not a Super)
I think my ranking would be the same as yours, but my reasoning for Metal Overlord is a bit different. While the first phase is really cool and fast and thrilling, I kinda don't like that Metal Overlord doesn't attack you himself until the missile attack. But that's just a minor nitpick. It's still a great boss fight.
Have ya tried the Hard Mode Bosses? they are the most fun and skilled based especially Mephiles and Metal Overlord, Biolizard is the hardest boss in hard mode! also I agree with this list I respect it!

I think the main issue with the boss fights in Sonic X Shadow Generations is that the boss fights feel a bit easy at times.
thats why hard mode exists! every time I play the Shadow Gens Bosses I turn on Hard mode to give it a more challenge

Chaos Control in the Biolizard fight is useful in the hard mode fight as the time margin to mash on his wing is very low.
my personal ranking is the order you fight them in.
