I repeat never!!❗️ Recently there has been a case of Acantha Amoeba Keratitis Case reported in a male patient who slept with contact lenses on, and got his eye infected with this organism.
Instructions for wearing contact lenses:
1. Get proper initial fitting and contact lens handling training when first getting them.
2. Always wash your hands before taking them out and placing them in.
3. Dispose of your daily contact lenses before going to bed. Use preservative free artificial tears such as Refresh when handling contact lenses.
4. Use proper contact lens storage solution for extended wear contact lenses.
5. If you wear contact lenses and your eye turns red, see your Ophthalmologist or optometrist for an exam to make sure that there is no infection.

I think that while sleeping the contact lense displaces inside the eye and is not visible , and she thinks that the lens came out of eye while sleeping but actually is inside the eye.

She did not forget. She had bought a huge pack (that had multiple sets) of transparent contacts for a cheap price (I think) and she thought they were dissolve able. She thought these lens do not need to be pulled out. And simply gets dissolved in our eyes after a day so for 23 days straight she wore a new contact everyday while her old one went behind her back (literally shivers ugghhh) until one day she came to doctor with pain and doctor found this…. Her eye had such severe infection that those transparent contacts turned green and gunky

One, I have no idea how you don't realize you've done that so many times and didn't notice. There's no way in hell that didn't hurt or damage her eye. When I used to wear contacts, even dozing off on accident for 45 minutes to an hour makes the contact lens stick to your eye more. Taking them off after that reeeaaallyyyy doesn't feel good, especially because that causes the lens to pull in from the edges a little bit. There was a woman years ago where I used to live and she wore her contacts for nearly a month without taking them out *once* . When she finally tried to take them out, they wouldn't budge. She struggled for a good little while to get them out. She finally was able to peel them off of her eyes, however it didn't go well. Not only did she hurt herself, she literally *pulled out her corneas* and they were adhered to the inside of the lens. I can't imagine how much that must of hurt.
The reason is because your eyes move around independently while you are sleeping so the lenses slip from the friction of your skin and stuck itself were ever your eyes locked. Typically the corner as we see here.
As a contact lenses user, i try to be careful yet even then i sometimes make mistakes like putting them fast no towel or mirror (hands and lenses clean of course, i have my special lenses liquid, container and eyedrops), i cant comprehend how does one forget not 1, but 23 contact lenses. There were times in my teens i slept naps with them but id rather not is uncomfortable and eyes gets dry when i woke up so i take them out for those.
Whenever i had the accident of a contact slipping in i calmly tried to get it out after getting used to it. Never leave them, they will appear eventually and well keep calm nervousness wont help.
