If you ask them to chant bharat mata ki jai they say it's not written in constitution..
If you ask them to follow uniform civil code (article 44 of the Constitution) they say it's not written in Kuran.
    Hypocrisy at its best

What is so morally reprehensive about agreeing with me? I think this deference towards Islam as an "equal path" is something intrinsically Hindu about ourselves. We have built such an understanding within ourselves between Smartas, Vaishnavas, Charvakas, Jains, etc, so we have always extended the same courtesy to Islam without understanding or studying it. And yes, for centuries and to this day in large parts of the country especially at village levels, you have more of Hindus doing Islamic sadhana than Muslims, so I will not discount the fact that Islamic practice in India is part and parcel of the Hindu milieu....but that really isn't Islam at its core, and Islam has always had a strong urge to "return to core" principles. We Hindus need to calibrate ourselves and understand this distinction between people practicing Islamic spirituality and the politics of Muslim identity. It has been a thousand years interaction with this hate-filled cult, which via too much smoke and mirrors, has lowered our moral guards. I henceforth no longer extend my Hindu-plurality-secularism towards Islam. Islam is not a religion. It is a political ideology. No offense is meant towards those that are practicing Islami-sadhana in private lives, this is not meant for those.

This will strengthen law system in India and unite us Constitutionally. Most of countries have uniform law for all religion. Chang is inevitable and women in both community need justice... Isn't it a fantastic thing? One couple in one part of India is having Saat Ferah and another said quubool Hai in exact same way as thousands of years but in the eye of court are same. Way to go.

To say whether the religious heads of various religions ought to change their Personal Laws is definitely not fair in a country which claims to be a secular country. We can’t deny that we should not force them to change their Personal Laws. They should decide themselves what is good for them. But we can circumvent the situation in the following manner without creating a furore.
Since we have to give the freedom of following any religion to every citizen of the country we can ask an individual to give an affidavit whether he/she regards himself/herself an “Indian First” or, if he/she be a Muslim, a “Muslim First”. If he/she may declare that he/she is an “Indian First” it should imply that he/she wants to abide to the laws of the country not the Personal Law of his/her religion but if he/she declines to give any such affidavit it would imply that he /she wants to follow the Personal Law not the laws of the country.
Of course it may be necessary to enact a law that every citizen of our country would have the privilege of opting whether he/she wants to be covered by the laws of the country or by the Personal Laws of his/her religion.
Whether it is Triple Talaq or any other issue, after enacting such an act, we can enforce Uniform Civil Code without any fuss.
The Muslim Religious heads are right at their place if they don’t want to make any change in their Personal Laws. We should not force them to change their Personal Laws. Today it is Muslim Law. Tomorrow it may be law of some other religion. Looking at the number of religions we have in our country we should be wary of raking the religious sentiments of the people. We should accommodate all religions without creating any tumult within the country.

What's the problem in pratcising the uniform law, I sincerely don't understand. Irony is that even the islamic states are changing the law which were being made 1000 years ago. The life gets change everyday, so I think we should try to be very open minded.

The problem with Mr.Asaduddin Owaisi's argument is that it is our personal law and is given by constitution, well nobody is denying that but the question is should it be changed or not based on present world situations we are living in,when those personal laws are disregarding the fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution. The constitution has given a right but when he right is being utilized to deny a large portion of population their rights then constitution has the authority to interfere and should as it is its responsibility.

If you want different laws for each religion then divide the country further - there should be one law for everyone - If some Indian Muslims are opposed to it they should relocate to Pakistan which was made to allow Sharia Law for those who want it
