Love the hand-painted movie poster from the village! Apparently that's a whole thing in Africa - the local artists don't get to see the movie first, and sometimes don't even get any photos to work from, just a rough synopsis. So it's their own interpretation of what the movie might be about.

Wow, we watched this movie back in the day because we loved Norton's deadpan delivery in Gymkata, which is a film 10X as cheesy and great as this one. Norton's crazy character in Equalizer 2000 resulted in him being transferred to a role playing game we made based on movie tough guy heroes. In addition to having the weapon, whoever was playing him had a special power you could use called "car surfing." lol

There's an episode from the original Macgyver show with Richard Dean Anderson that also talked about to destroy weapons ( episode was about a cursed gun and a young teenager needed money for his shot of drugs ) . Is it related to this movie as hommage or ?
Anyway i as many others are missing those b-movies the "real popcorn movies" you can have fun with your friends and rewatch them a hundred times . Not as todays b-movies who tries sadly too fast to look great as their blockbuster counterpart .
Somehow why Quentin Tarantino is one of the last retro-like producer . Others fails in that branch .
I remember a show that aired short with a truck , helicopter etc...was called Highwayman highly influenced by 80's post apocalyptic movies . You remember that little show Cecil ? ( it aired in Belgium back then around 1995 wow )

For these films, its usually just that - film. Film and processing costs were huge back then, even now.
They shot in places like the Philippines to keep costs down. They got cheap labor and would often get their stars to live out there for a few months to shoot a bunch of movies back to back. Also, they didn't have to pay location fees.
Most big actors today wouldn't even answer their phone for a movie that cost $500k. Robert Downey Jr got 80 million to do Avengers Age of Ultron and Captain America Civil War. The salaries of these actors/actresses is what is going to sink Hollywood.

Bethesda should look to these movies when making a fallout plot, way more entertaining. Also the gun changing owners makes me think of "dead man's gun" tv show.
