I know the Dickeys family. The Dickeys Barbeque was started in 1941 by Travis Dickey Senior and his sons took it over. Good food and nice family. TD was named after his father. I been going Dickeys my whole life. The family will be happy know that people outside of Texas enjoy their food.
Much love from Texas brother, Blessings to you and the beautiful wife. Watched your (He Is Risen) video last night, absolutely loved it and the easy to understand breakdown of the scriptures. My grandfather Pastored a church for 56yrs and in his absence we now have 4 pastor's in the family, Amen. Keep putting out the message, WE'RE HAPPY TO RECEIVE IT. 🙏🏿🙏🏿 *I believe we have a Dickeys here in Amarillo Tx, and if so I'll definitely be ordering a plate tonight...looks Delicious 😋You know us Texans love some Barbecue lol.
Yes, I believe Dickey's is actually a Texas BBQ chain. So glad you enjoyed the video, and more importantly, glad you enjoyed us talking about the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That is why we have hope in this world, and for the next. May God bless you and your family on this Resurrection Sunday
Same one Dickery’s Barbecue Pit in South Asheville close to my home. Always love grilled chicken, waffles fries, potato salad, macaroni n cheese very delicious 🤤 ❤❤❤ Thank you watching it your video.👍🏻
Looks like a good meal. We ate at Cracker Barrel in Lexington, NC last night and thought of both of you. We already knew what to order because of your vlogs.
We have a Dickey’s about 8 miles away from us in Florence, SC at I-95 and Hwy 52. We tried it and didn’t care for it but, knowing that any restaurant can have a bad day, we went back and tried it again and still didn’t care for it. We tried the brisket, the pulled pork, and the ribs. My husband and I wonder how it stays open and joke everytime we go by there that it has to be a drug front because there’s never any vehicles there except the Dickey’s van!😁
Well, fortunately, this one is in a better location. I haven't seen the one in Florence that you mention, but I'll be looking for it next time we go through there. We often fill up with gas at the Pilot there at I-95 and Hwy 52, so we know that area.
Theresa and I really like Dickeys. The last time we ate there we had the loaded baked potato with the pulled pork in it. It was really good. Thanks for sharing, Have a blessed day and may your house be full of Love this Easter weekend and all your days to come
Y’all would enjoy Ray Nathans in Gastonia (very close to Belmont) off New Hope Rd. We dined there two weeks ago..I especially loved the brisket. Wishing you a blessed Easter. LOVE WON.
I've never heard the term "shredded", in reference to beef brisket, because that is not usually the way it is said. So, there would be no need for me to say "shredded brisket", and certainly no way for me to know ahead of time that I needed to, since again, that is not the normal term. "Chopped" or "sliced" are always the 2 ways to describe a brisket meal, and most places understand what "chopped" means. In fact, "chopped" is not the same as shredded...It is literally what it implies...chopped. I've seen it done. We would go there again, as well. I would just make it clear to them that I wanted it "chopped", as in the way every other place does it, or I would order sliced.
Nice! Thanks for letting us know that you had a pretty good experience. Where is Independence, Kansas, if you don't mind me asking? We're actually going to be in Kansas week after next. Going from Wichita, west on Highways 54 & 50. Going to be in Dodge City.
The Hickory Smokehouse on hwy 127 is no longer, they closed. At the same location is a restaurant called Charlie Graingers. They do have bbq pulled pork, brisket and ribs, but they are known more for their hot dogs - many different toppings and varieties. Hickory did have several other bbq places, but are lacking these days.
My son and I were going to try a new barbecue place tonight but the place was packed and neither of us was willing to wait. I like barbecue about three times a year.
We may have to drive up and try it. There is a Dickey's in my hubby's hometown. Good brisket. I hope the one in Hickory is equal to it. Happy Easter! Jane from SC❤🙏
Never been to a Dickeys. Don’t think there is one in Mocksville area. Good to know about the brisket. Those chunks did not look appealing. Adding this to our list of places to eat in Hickory.
Really enjoyed the video...I know ya'll said previously that you don't really care for "eastern style" nc bbq, but was wondering if ya'll ever tried the chain Smithfields Bbq & Chicken (there's one in the Charlotte area) ...they have really good hushpuppies & even bbq chicken if you prefer that over bbq...Take Care & God Bless
We have eaten at Smithfield many times, when in Eastern North Carolina. I've also eaten at the Charlotte location probably 5 times II do always order the fried chicken when I'm there, because I believe it is some of the best .
@@HannahCrouch-l2gNot sure where you heard that. I haven't heard it, and I can't find anything to indicate that it's true. They were just making posts on their Facebook page yesterday.
Nothing the same since Covid as far as eating out..Glad to see the review cause I have never been to Dickieys,,The cubed brisket did not look impressive,,thanks...
The flavor was good. I'm just not partial to having it cut like that. I think it is much better chopped. I've been to Dickey's several times, and they usually have really good food, though.

NORTH CAROLINA IS BEAUTIFUL ! ❤
Yes, it is.

So glad you took our suggestions. Hope you enjoyed it!

We will have to look for that when we're in Gastonia.

Nice review. Huge food portions.
Yes, it was huge portions. Thanks for watching!
Perhaps say “shredded “ instead of chopped.
I would go there without hesitation.

Love the warmed BBQ sauce at Dickeys! Usually just get the pulled pork and I would go back anytime I was near one. Good value too.
I took my friend today in independence kansas so fun little expensive but nice place and very clean they had ice cream machine too.😂
Nice! Thanks for letting us know that you had a pretty good experience.

Used to have one in Johnson City, but it didn't last too long.

Yes, I think I've seen that place. Never been in it.
The one here in our town I've never tried. Never seen that type of cut before either. Good info and thanks for sharing with us.👍
Absolutely. If you do try the one near you, let us know what you think.
Food looked good 👍 review
It was good overall.
My son and I were going to try a new barbecue place tonight but the place was packed and neither of us was willing to wait. I like barbecue about three times a year.
Yes, I don't like to wait long when I'm hungry, either.

The way they "chopped" them was strange. I don't think they used to do that. I would get sliced next time, or have them to chop it the normal way.
