    just a suggestion, if these are to be viewed in a sequence it would be great to number them to help see which is which in the order of things.

    Hi, these tutorials are very good however they focus on the features of Xert which is fine, but to be honest I would love to see a "how to" video. That is to say; as a first time user, how to log-in and use the app. I'm muddling through but still feel very unsure about using it properly.

      Exactly! I came to XERT about a year ago and realy, really stryggled with the basic How to operate concept. When applying sch a load of new ideas and xpressions in the realm of training, the least you could have done was make it simple to get started and use. I have found that curve to both steep and difficult.

    A new user trying to select the right app for my own training needs. Just wondering. I'm using a super heavy bike for training. Something like 15kg. These are shared bike paid by the hour using apps... chains are sticky, parts are fallen apart, wheels are buckled and etc. And the gearing is very low too... so my speed is low, cadence is medium but the effort is high. How does Xert use this kind of effort to estimate my fitness?

      Wear a heart rate monitor and enable Heart-Rate Derivied Metrics under Account Settings/Profile.

    I don't think you can truly automate this like you are. I imported my Strava data, and it told me exactly what I already knew - and all it did was tell me to work "harder".

      At a very basic level, it's a pretty intuitive concept: if you wish to improve or increase fitness, then you will need to do 'more' training than you have been doing. However, the amount (and type) of training needed will depend on your selected 'Improvement Rate' as well as your Program & Athlete Type. This is discussed more in-depth in the 'Improve' parts of the video series. Cheers! -Scott

    Thanks for the lesson. Just wanted to let you know that from the story telling and graphs design there is a hell lot of improvement potential. Example, the circles story: why not to just say in the beginning what the circle types are - but no, instead it takes 10 min to go through explanations and then realise, that there is very little point in the sizes - you literally say, people ask about what it means and you say them that it’s the … not even clear. So you say that to them, but what is the truth in reality? Can we get an answer from those who were the inventor and not what you say usually to users? It deals like no one knows and you kinda express your point of view. That kinda is confusing.

    If you only use the Xert Platform during the winter months, and are a casual rider who doesn’t race then how do you achieve a BT? Thank you!
    PS. I am a new rider and I am new to this platform. I am thinking of signing up but I have a few questions. Thank you

      You will find several workouts in the Xert library that are designed to push you to the limits and allow you to achieve a Breakthrough. My personal favorites are the 'mixed mode' workouts that allow me to push as hard (or as easy) as I need to achieve a BT. Check out 'A Pain that I'm Used To' and 'Break on Through (to the other side)', those are a few of my favorites! They are tough workouts, so be sure you're well rested before trying one. -Scott

    So I’ve done a few rides with Xert and it seems your Threshold power seems to move around a lot based on the intensity of the ride you did? So if this is the case then how do we do recovery rides without losing “fitness” and threshold power?

      Xert have fitness decay. If your TP decreasing, most likely you set your account to optimal decay.

    • @occyman
      @occyman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pohonplastik yeah no I have it set to “no decay” but it still reduces

      Hi @occyman, thanks for your comment. The setting you're referring to is 'No Decay - Training Load Matched', which indicates that your Signature (TP, HIE, & PP) will track directly with their associated training loads (low, High, & Peak, respectively). If your TP is going down with 'No Decay' setting selected, it's most likely because your training load is decreasing. Hope that helps/makes sense! -Scott

    Are Xert any further forward combining run and bike data?

    • @robertrheault609
      @robertrheault609 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The short answer is no. This is the feedback from Scott as of last August 27th: "You don't want to load the runs into your cycling account. Xert doesn't currently distinguish between the sports (or the signatures). As you might guess, your cycling fitness signature and your running fitness signature (and resulting Power duration curves) are quite different. Uploading all of them would negatively impact your XSS data on your cycling account." ... "Either way, you'll need to get started by opening a secondary account (new username/email). Once that account is open and registered, try uploading your runs to that account." Once you have the second account opened, you can contact Xert Support and the account will be activated at no additional cost.

      @@robertrheault609 I currently use 2 Xert accounts for run/bike but the team are working on a dual platform that combines both to give an accurate training load.

      We have recently released a multi-profile feature, which will allow users to track up to 3 separate sport types under a single account. Check out our documentation on setting it up here: baronbiosys.com/glossary/multisport-profiles/

    Dang, I got a fake through today with a 3:45 maximal effort.

      @XertAcademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you weren't able to push any harder, then Xert has your signature dialed in quite nicely! As I mentioned in the video, treat it as a minor tweaking of your signature. -Scott
