  • On this episode, we depart the Vava'u group in Tonga and head 415nm west to Levuka, Fiji. The weather is not the best and the wind comes and goes but we get a little excitement when we sail through a huge school of yellow fin tuna! Rob slows the boat and hangs outside a reef before we enter to anchor in our 9th country of FIJI.
We are a surburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years we are now in a position to follow our dream of circumnavigating the world. Follow our journey as we Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,800/mo (food, communication, fuel, insurance, transportation, mooring/marina & fun). We left the US in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries and 6 continents.

7:00 ok you win the Father/son fishin moment and mum filming it all. Nice anecdote to drop when you have Tuna in years to come 😂

We are all doing well - thank you! We have really enjoyed exploring Fiji - Levuka, SavuSavu, the Yasawa Islands, Mana Island, Musket Cove and Denerau. The next 2-3 videos should all be Fiji. As always, we appreciate you following our journey!!

In Asia fish heads are a delicacy. Many fish have extra fatty patches on the head. And locals in Singapore for instance live the eyes. Fishhead soup is very nice I can confirm that.

That is what we have hear but I still can't bring myself to make it on the boat. Maybe if I try it out somewhere and enjoy it I will have more motivation to make it. Fish heads just gross me out - maybe I can get Rob to make it :)
