I got Jurassic Park for Christmas the year it came out. '93? Played it once, didn't get very far. Then one day when my older brother was off with his friends, sat down and played this game through. Took me hours to complete. That was enough though, and never played it again. But it had dinosaurs, which I still love to this day, so, good times.
Loads of games out there that should be played. Legend of Zelda, Super Metroid, Contra 3, Donkey Kong Country. Too many to list. You are doing a great job on this channel. I really enjoy watching the content that you put out.
Great list! Also big shoutout to ZSNES. I discovered so many games that never reached us in Europe through the same way you did. Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, E.V.O, etc, etc.
The original Actraiser is still one of my all time favorite games. It took me a while to find all secrets, but I eventually got good enough to beat it without dying.
Put in so much hours on Hagan: The Final Conflict & like you i had to go to my friends house to play this game! He also had Castlevania 4 which blew my mind! To this day this is MY most played game ever! i have to play Castlevania 4 on the SNES at least once a month since it's release! We rented Super Adventure Island quite a bit as we played every game that had the word SUPER before each game! The Lost Levels of Super Mario still kicks my butt to this day! Thanks for sharing your list!
Hagane is a LEGENDARY game, and you'll pay a fine price nowadays to play it on true hardware. I actually learned about it because my friends thought they were playing a prank on me by giving me a repro, but I had no idea about the games worth at the time so the joke went right over my head lol.
It took me a long time to accept Jurassic Park for Gameboy to be a decent game after having played the Sega version. I originally thought it was crap, but the more I played it, the more it became somewhat fun. I'll have to try the SNES version with this newfound outlook. Good video as always, some different games than most people have put on their list. Cheers

Good list! Jurassic Park is the controversial choice for sure. If I were to replace it with a game I know that fits this theme, it would probably have to be Addams Family. A simple yet challenging plaftformer/metroidvania that has tons of secrets. Yes it's made by Ocean too!
Actraiser is one game i've completed over and over again, it's a near perfect game imo and while the sequel is overhated, i like that one too. just not NEARLY as much as the OG.

Super Castlevania and Contra 3 are some of my favorite SNES games. Too bad slot machines and mobile games are so profitable, I would have loved to see what Konimi would be coming out with today if their focus was still on console games.
Your list has some great titles here are a few I would recommend: TMNT Turtles In Time, Final Fantasy II, Earthbound, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat 3, and F-Zero.
My suggested must play would be "Metal Warriors" from Konami. The game is side-scrolling mecha combat (think Mobile Suit Gundam) with a unique twist: at any time your character can eject from your mech and find other machines to pilot! There is a pretty awesome single player mode, but the 2P death match is really the best part of the game. This one is genuinely rare and hella expensive, so emulation will likely be the only viable option for most players.

Final Fantasy VI is still my all-time favorite game to this day, and I played it the year it came out in '94. I was only 5 at the time, but I had some help to understand the game, and it was the first RPG I ever beat on my own. Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, those are a couple other JRPG masterpieces on the console, and if you want another really good fighting game aside from the different versions of SF2, Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury Special are solid games! Highly recommend them, if you ever get a chance to play them!
Fatal Fury Special is dope, but it broke my heart and proved to me that Billy Kane is more of a tool when AI controlled then when I can control him lmao.

@@Fortefyre You can "loathe" Secret of Mana all you want. (For what reasons, I can only assume.) But whether you like it or not; Chrono Trigger is a jrpg through and through. The simple fact that it was developed in Japan and released on the Super Famicom nearly a year before it's Super Nintendo release; solidifies it as a JRPG. Sorry, not sorry. Otherwise, great video.
Mostly because the AI keeps getting stuck on those narrow corridors lmao.
You left out Chrono Trigger? What a travesty.
The reason I did, is because when j played it, I played it on the super famicom :) it'll be in another episode.
This Iist pleases me.
I'm glad!
Wow I missed super adventure island cause it sucked so bad on nes
Give it a shake!
No Contra 3?
I'm sure it'll show up :)
👍
:)
Metal Warriors
I haven't heard of that one :)
Mr Nutz is cool
I've heard!
Why didn’t you get a console until 5th generation?
there can be many reasons, financial limitations, anti-gaming parents, etc.
My dad had a genesis, and a NES, got rid of it in 94. The first console that was MINE was the N64. :)
Try B.O.B.
B.O.B is one I haven't heard about before. Might have to check it out.
Don't tell me what to do
FINE :P
adventure island shouldn't have made the list there are way too many wayy better games than that, for a similar game i would have easily chosen joe and mack its way better
I make these with every 10 games that fit the bill. There will be a part two and joe and mack could end up on it :)
MAN, F*** Jurassic Park on SNES, i beat that game and it has the worst ending i have ever seen.
This is true lmao.
@@Fortefyre I do like the game, the pseudo 3d was cool AF in 1993-1994 on a SNES.
I can still here the gas cannisters deploying and Mr Grant going "ough" when he takes damage lol.
Hahah same.
Actraiser 2 isn't trash don't believe the hype
Hate*
I will die on that hill lol
@Fortefyre me too but the opposite. Literally my favorite SNES game. I think people just got in their feelings because they took out some of the aspects from the first game. But when you look at it as a standalone action platformer it's one of the best on the SNES
Cry like a B? Work on that message.
No thanks :)
