- "The President's Own" United States Marine Band presents The Complete Marches of John Philip Sousa, a multi-year project to record and publish scores for all of Sousa's Marches. Sousa, known as "The March King," was director of the Marine Band from 1880 to 1892. Recording directed by Col. Jason K. Fettig. www.marineband....
Although this World War I march has not been as popular as several other Sousa compositions of that era, it is regarded by scholars as one of his better efforts. The title first appeared on the manuscript of the march known as “Wisconsin Forward Forever” but was subsequently used for this march.

The 2nd strain of this march is a thing of beauty.

Long Beach State fight song. Class of '92. Go 49ers!
What a great march!
There is no march like asousa march to put a spring in your step
Odd that they left out the published harp part found in the encore books that plays a nice figure during the restatement of the trio theme.
Budget cuts
Baritone in 2nd strain is killer though
This kind of euphonium part is exactly why I switched from trumpet to Euphonium in our community band.
first rate sousa march - the apache high school band got this one right...ha
