I have a West German P225 that I purchased new and it was my EDC in Alessi leather for many years. It feels great in the hand, very accurate, and flawless in operation. Definitely one of my favorite pistols.
I just traded one of my Sig P365XL pistols for a like new P225A1 model with original box, docs and 6 mags. This pistol shoots great, feels great in my hand, the SRT trigger is excellent. This is the best Sig metal frame pistol for concealed carry and I feel I made a great trade.
Carried one 15 yrs as LEO.Used the Extended grip mag. Worked well with my small hands. Never was too fond of trigger pull. After the first shot DA it shoots very well.
In the 90’s, I was a Sig guy. In the late 90’s I owned a P220 in .45 ACP, backed up by a P225 in 9mm. Loved that combo. I know there are more up to date guns, but if I lived in a state that limited mags to 10 round mags, I would have added another, (or two), P225(s), and made sure I have enough mags for all of them, and that would have been my carry set up. Just a great under appreciated gun.😎✌️
I shaved my magazine base with a dremel to fix that problem you mentioned on my p6 but i also polished the bottom half of the pistol and made the checkered grips smooth
I just happen to own two of the so called poor man's sigs being the sig sauer p225/p6 from 1980 and a sig sauer sp 2022 from 2011 and I love both of them and will never part with either. Ive owned several other popular brands of handguns and they all have their benefits but these sigs fit all of my needs. The other older DA/SA that i wouldn't get rid of is a Ruger P95DC its a bit bulky but its a workhorse that's dependable with not a single failure since ive owned it just like my sigs. Keep up the good work brotha
I already owned 2 Star BM pistols when I bought my P225/P6 from a pawn shop for three hundred so I have about 7 BM mags. I tried them in the P6 and they run great and lock slide back. You just have to hold mag release button down when inserting to get mag to lock in.
My W German P225 came to me via a guy not wanting it anymore. My gain, his loss. Makes a perfect nightstand pistol. FYI..mine has the standard bar sight system (white dot in front and white bar in rear)
I bought the two P38 mags form a guy online (I’ll try to locate that info) already modified. The S&W 39 mag I modified myself. Had to put in a second hole in the mag body. I’ll get a picture of that too.
Hey necesito saber. De una arma que era. De mi papa desafortunadamente falleció y encontré en sus pertenencias una pistola de marca sig saver P225 pars 9 mm made in Germany y si se pudiera vender ojala me diers una respuesta de favor soy de México
If you are in Mexico now and the pistol is in Mexico I doubt it could be sold without you getting in trouble. If you are in the USA, yes you could sell it. If you live in California or other oppressive states you’ll have to go through a local dealer I believe.

Awesome!
Thank you, Jeff the 225 is an extraordinary pistol, its accuracy is amazing for a short barrel.
Hopefully I can get some sights that my eyes like and see what this will do! Thanks for the comment!

Yeah I’d make that trade as well. Nicely done!

Interesting. I didn’t know they made extended mags for these

You have good taste!
I have the 225a1 and love it. Best gun I've ever owned. Classic with modern touches
Sweet!

Sounds potentially horrific and possibly cool

All good pistols! Sometimes the lesser loved ones are hidden gems.

Interesting, thanks!
My long time CCW choice...
Really? That’s awesome. Not many carry these IME

Sweet!
those sigs are beautfiul without the light rails!
I agree!
Shotgun News I think is what I read in the 70s.
Yep that was good stuff!
First sig I owned years ago. Super Comfortable in the hand. Only reason I got rid of it was capacity. ✝️🇺🇸✝️
Do you miss it?
@@jeffshootsstuff A little to be honest. I really want a p229 9mm.
Have you shot one? They’re pretty chunky. See if you can find a P228
@@jeffshootsstuffthey’re not chunky in the grip which is where I have my issues with the p226, p229
I took home the trophy in the academy with this sig. the grip on this sig is the best. Wayyyy better than the 228 that years later we went to.
Sweet!
This feels better in the hand when shooting than the p228?
Nice video.
Thanks!
I have a P225a1 and love it. I wish I had the first gen also, like yours.
Right on
I’ve got two P38 mags that work in my P225/P6.
Also, S&W 39 mags work for me too.
Interesting. Have you modified the P.38 mags at all?
I bought the two P38 mags form a guy online (I’ll try to locate that info) already modified. The S&W 39 mag I modified myself. Had to put in a second hole in the mag body. I’ll get a picture of that too.
I love mine, if you happen to have smaller hands it feels perfect.
Good point
Pre rail, stamped slide P series Sigs are the best . They run forever !!
Indeed. Parts kits are getting scarce though.
The police in Berlin used the P6 until 2018.
What is it now? Glock?
@@jeffshootsstuff H&K SFP 9 (VP9)
Ah. Interesting.
Surplus P6s for 300 to 350 bucks., Oh yes...the good old days.
I wish I’d bought a crate of them
The magazines stacked up there would buy you a new glock. Want to trade?😅
No thanks, I’d rather have this gun than 10 Glocks 😄
