When Lucy tells Ricky at the nightclub that they’re having a baby is the moment I literally felt their love … I ❤ that moment and I STILL❤ Lucy! Forever.💋
Same! I love how Desi gets so emotional he forgets he’s supposed to sing and he also messes up rock-a-bye baby. Both were his real emotions taking over. It wasn’t scripted
@@SamiLo2he cheated on her all the time. She never loved her. He was a perv who couldn’t keep his pants on
Carol Burnette’s gift to remember. Lucy gave it up on her birthday.
This was a PBS Documentary very well done.
Well done! I'm 70 now and remember the feeling I Love Lucy gave me, and still does.
Glad you feel that way, still.
THIS IS SO WONDERFUL TO SEE. I TRULY LOVE LUCILLE BALL . I REMEMBER WHEN SHE LEFT THIS WORLD, ( I WAS A YOUNG GIRL AT THE TIME ) IT REALLY BROKE MY HEART TO THINK SHE WAS NO LONGER A PART OF THIS LIFE. I REMEMBER I CRIED FOR (2)TWO DAYS. IT ALSO BROKE MY HEART WHEN I LEARNED THAT DESI AND LUCY WAS DESOLVING THEIR MARRIAGE. I KNEW THAT THEIR LIVES WENT ON, BUT I TRULY KNOW THAT " I LOVE LUCY WAS THE BEST. " LUCY AND DESI WAS GREAT TOGETHER. I MISS THEM GREATLY. REST IN ETERNALY HOLY PEACE DESI AND LUCILLE. I LOVE YOU BOTH.🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👁👁
This was really a fantastic documentary !
Such a well done documentary. She had a wonderful movie career too. She didnt have the right vehicle that last show. She loved her work and didnt want to stop.
I read "she would try anything." I been watching ILL for ages; one can never dismiss Vivian Vance--she was a genius and ILL wouldn't have been the same without her. Am I right? When the contract was renewed for 8 million, today's equivalent would be 91 million dollars.
Ethel Mae Potter. We never forgot ‘er. Vivian Vance was brilliant.
Yes, you're right, except for your abbreviation of "I Love Lucy." Lucille Ball is said to have seen that on a script and said, "I don't want to do a show that's 'ill'." So from then on the only abbreviation was "Lucy."
I love Lucy the show and the person - have seen at least 15 of her movies that I think are really good. Also I called them The Fabulous Four - all did their part making this tv show the wonderful show it was. As Desi said once that no matter where he and Lucy went people always asked about Fred Mertz.
She is the funniest and best comedy actor I had ever seen in my live.
My favorite girl ❤ I remember being a little girl watching reruns of Lucy on nick at nite. I miss those days..
The narrator said she believes there is laughter in Heaven because of Lucy. She had it and I miss them terribly. That show was so big. God Almighty thank you for that show. Boy did they loved each other. My mom is 90 now. She loved that show too. Soon I cry remanicing about them. Desi was heart broken.
Do you honestly believe my Lord and Creator needed a human being to bring laughter to His dwelling place. Please seek Jesus Christ and learn the truth.
@@SaltyChips-dh3mpYou are everything wrong in this world.
Thank you for putting this together i remember Lucy ball a really a great comedian and a Legend
I love everything about her and her shows. She will forgotten. I hope the young people watch her.
I have a Vogue skirt sewing pattern similar to Lucy skirt she danced in with Desi
I love how he sings the baby song while big as a house!!! Lol!!! She was great!!’
Even now people say "you got a lot a splainin to do" and everyone kowns the source.
She was wonderful
I just watched Lucy and Desi on Amazon Prime. It’s fantastic. This is excellent too. I grew up in the 60’s and two things were on in my house: The Judy Garland Show and I Love Lucy. I had a wonderful childhood.
The fact that I Love Lucy was referred to as, "the show", says a lot about its popularity. I never knew that!
❤❤❤ Thank you for posting! Beautiful life! Watched her through two generations and still watching!
I could visit the I love lucy show through out my life. They never changed. It wasn’t just lucy, but Ethel and fred too. They were best friends and shared their lives. They made that famous car trip to California together when desi was going to make a movie. I’m seventy so now but I watch I love lucy on my phone. It still makes me laugh.
Thank you for putting this out there, it was so interesting! Lucy and Desi were the best ❤
The passion shines through in every video. It's truly inspiring.
Enjoying this. Thanks!
I just got through watching Lucy's final movie.
I strongly advise anyone who is a real fan to watch it if you haven't already.
It's called Stone Pillow.
It's a serious movie & it shows just how talented Lucy really was.
That woman's ability to make us feel emotions is truly a gift.
Thank you so much for this upload!
This was simply beautiful ❤️
Unforgatable! 😍
We will always love Lucy, forever.
Lucy is outstanding❤
A great documentary ! I truly believe when they divorced neither one could let the other one go completely ,A true power couple ! Much love to Lucy❤️🙏
Ball wouldn’t ‘go for’ Van Johnson since he was homosexual.
I read that Judy Garland found that out firsthand when they filmed In the Good Old Summertime.
I grew up watching Lucy as a little kid. She is part of my life.
Without Lucy there would never have been a Star Trek
Loved this. Thank you 🙏!
This documentary made me cry. Absolutely beautiful. We miss Lucy!!!!!
My heart is breaking once again 😭💔
One of my favorite comedians.
You have to remember even though they felt the love he cheated every moment
that's an exaggeration to say the least
@@donnavertella15 No its not it is the truth.
I think its safe to say that most people enjoyed the original 6 or 7 seasons ILL episodes. An aunt of mine, while watching a rerun many years ago said that "she wore out her welcome". Maybe so, but she was a very talented person.
August 06,2024 would have been her 113th birthday.
I always loved Lucy and watched her all the time❤❤❤ I still watch 😊🥰 The funniest person in the whole world! Thank you for this!
Reflecting back, the re runs were on when I was little, I'm realizing I loved Lucy more than Batman and Robin 😊 she is one in a billion 💓
My favorite part was the home movies of the Desilu company family picnics. Gives you a real sense of their lives offscreen.
Lucy and the lady from the lady from Resident Evil 1 are my favorite ladies of all time. I love them.
I watch it with my grandkids I know most of the next lines
I love Lucy ❤
That was great ❤
America needs her more then ever
I Love Lucy is free on Pluto TV. I watch it all the time. It's my absolute favorite show. I have it on now.
O I remember that episode back in my youth years 😊😮😮😅
A true Leo queen
Never then, Never now! I LOVE LUCY! ❤
Muy bello documental de la actriz más cómica del mundo!!!
Such a shame Dezi ran around and they were so happy but yet so in love
So sad that Desi cheated on her as she just loved him so much!
I guess you could say she was a comedy genius because she was good at knowing how to act it out to make the jok funny
People say she’s a comedy genius but she is not because she said that in an interview and she is right because her writers wrote the script not her what she was amazing at and what she should be called instead of a comedic genius is an amazing physical comedy actress
Well said.
I really dont wanna saw that, cause i know i would cry a lot. I love lucy Forever....❤❤❤
Lucille Ball was 1 million times more beautiful than Maureen O’Hara
My Grandpa was good friends with Ricki. The episode where Lucy and Ethel are competing for Ricki and Fred's attention because of a boxing match between the "Kid" vs . Rocky (Marciano) My Grandpa was Harry Kid Matthews, but my Grandpa's manager, aka the "Professer," wouldn't allow my Grandpa's full boxing name in that episode. This is what he told me and what my Aunt told me and me being a lifelong fan of the I Love Lucy show , I think it's an awesome story. ❤
That's a cool story, indeed! You're welcome to join our "I Love Lucy and Desi" group in FB.
@@HenPapirman , Thank you ❤️ 😊
You Have to Give DESI A LOT OF CREDIT TO! His FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ARE PRICELESS! I LIKED HIM BETTER!! The MOST!!!
I loved Lucy THE MOST!!!!
I can't believe I was this many years old before learning his name was Desiderio. To me, Desi was simply a Cuban name and never thought about it again until right now. What else do I need to examine?! Next you'll say Dick van Dyck is not Cockney!
You should read his book.
Nice opening music
She made him
Yes, it was because of her that he got the chance. Once he got the chance, he helped her. They completed each other.
Where did you find this documentary? Did PBS publish tapes or DVDs or this back in 2000? In any event I'm thrilled to see this uploaded in high quality
More to come, soon.
❤❤❤❤❤
What a legend--the woman and her career (she did some movies, too, you know). It's a shame they didn't keep Dick Martin in "The Lucy Show," but much of the original situation--Lucy and Viv doing home repairs, the kids, Harry next door and Viv's boyfriend Eddie--was pushed aside in the second season because Gale Gordon was available and the show gradually became Lucy vs. Mr. Mooney. (Vivian Vance was looking to leave anyway.) "Here's Lucy" was as good at it was (not very, much of the time, depending too much on repeated gags and celebrity guest stars) because of Desi Arnaz Jr. at the height of his hotness, and Lucie Arnaz growing as a performer. I never saw the last show because everybody who did said the same thing: it was painful to watch. But "I Love Lucy" will be avidly watched forever.
If you haven't already, there's a FB group named I Love Lucy and Desi.
Her last show is on YT. Watched every episode, while you see repeats there as well, gags wise, it was funny. And yes, sad. Especially one particular part which I won't mention, not to make any spoilers.
Nothing painful about life with Lucy
Desi directed the first season of the Lucy show but then left in part because he couldn’t stand Gary and Lucy insisted he would have a job at the firm (he lived off of her money). Vivian left cause Lucy wouldn’t give her more power/say the show. Here’s Lucy is a nepo show. Living with Lucy was terrible, she didn’t want to do it, but Gary and his hunger for money convinced her. Mame was also a big failure… Desi told her not to do it because her comedy style was different from the movie….
Lucy .. something I gots to tell you.
It’s easy she buried in FOREST Lawn you can find her their
Bec of the i love lucy, now Im stuck from the past
You should watch a movie from 1985 called Stone pillow will make you cry
i wish we can bring back the baby boom because now a days people are complaining about couples having children they don't inderstand the joy little children bring
It’s not about people having children, it’s about people having children that they can’t be bothered to raise or having too many children and it ends up being a drain on society.
?
@@joaniec6178 f society then
You can singlehandedly bring it back. Who is stopping you.
( btw I’m not trying to discredit her just saying that she didn’t make the jokes) I love I love lucy
I actually think she was funny without knowing it, even though she said she wasn't. I've seen her interviews. She said things that were funny. The crowd laughed as was I. I understand her, however. She was a Leo so I get where she came from. I know "her kind".
😀

She survived because of Desi. 55:09
Both saved and helped each other.
She survived because of Desi.
Betty White was much funnier!
Each each and their thing.
Then why is Lucy known as the Queen of Comedy instead of Betty White?
Lucy was born in 1911 & Betty in 1922. Their mom's were best friends & they became best friends
Lucille Ball is only in heaven if she believed in OUR Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Well, how unfortunate that someone doesn't get what they want, every minute of every date of their long life, even when it includes great wealth, good kids, and decades of work, and all the perks that come with fame. Her insatiable need for attention is a put off.
Luckily most people disagree ... Introduced her to two decades of younger generations and they can't get enough of her either..
Funny. You criticize her for the very thing you seek here in your comment.
I don’t think you’re entirely wrong, she was a difficult person in private and people tend to brush that off. She always wanted to do her work well and always tried her best ❤
