    The problem with this video is that either machine would pick up more dirt after going over the carpet with either machine.

    I just purchased a Big Green and it works like a charm. I refused to give the carpet cleaning service I use another penny. I figure this will pay for itself in no time.

      carpet cleaning services are overpriced and do a mediocre job. I wouldn't hire them ever.

      @VacMaster1991 Do you think these machines do a comparable job? I always fiqured they did as they are using more expensive machines but then again I'm always disappointed when it looks great after they do it but oddly enough some stains come back. Great video! Maybe I need to buy one for $400 instead of renting for a day

      I honestly would just buy one. Then it's there when you need it. And is brand new with no one else's dirt on it. My big green is 6 year's old and still going strong.

    My grandparents had their bedroom carpet professionally cleaned with hot water extraction. They used PreSpray, a scrubber, the truck mounted extractor, and a rinse afterward and yet my Hoover TurboScrub XL STILL pulled up a tank of nasty, black-ish water. They aren’t dirty people, and had that house cleaned weekly by a cleaning lady for 16 years.They have a very good vacuum. So, I was a little stunned to see how nasty the water was that the Hoover pulled up a few days after the professionals had “cleaned” the carpet. So, I definitely think that a person can do a better job with the right equipment. I think it’s more so about technique if you have a decent extractor, and how much time is spent. I think the professionals could have done a better job, but the problem is that they want to get in and out as fast as they can to get to the next job, to make even more money. They rush it. So I just assume buy a Bissell Big Green, the pre sprays, the rinse agent, etc and do it myself. I already have a CRB machine to scrub in the PreSpray.

      @VacMaster1991  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have an oreck orbiter. I could attach a carpet brush and pre scrub that way. But my carpet isn't very dirty. In my opinion carpet cleaning is way overpriced for basically unskilled labor. I could buy a high end machine like this one, a whole bunch of chemicals do it myself and and still have money left over. Plus those companies don't clean the machines after each house so they are taking other people's dirt into your house🤢. Who knows what could be on those! 🤮💩!

    Awesome videos! Your recommendation for the Prochem All-Fiber Rinse is golden! I just purchased Bissell’s newest Hydrosteam that has the steam component/function, but am regretting this purchase because the steam doesn’t get that hot, and I believe the Bissell Big Green would do the better job. Plus, we always add hot water per the instructions, so I’m not convinced my hydrosteam gets hotter that the water I’m adding. I’m thinking maybe a gentle steam over using my steam devices can achieve what my questionable purchase does. The Hydrosteam’s section is decent, but it feels slightly flimsy. I want a sturdier machine like this Big Green! Excellent review, brother! Your cat is adorable, and sure they appreciate your clean carpets.

    I just posted about 2 minutes ago but I also wanted to add one advantage of the Bissell over the rug Doctor is the fact that both during the wet and dry passes the agitation brush continues to rotate and groom the carpet whereas in the rug Doctor the agitation brush only rotates in the clean mode so once you stop pressing the detergent dispensing button, and do a dry pass, it is just suction only and no agitation. I believe this has a benefit to the Bissell as I prefer agitation during wet and dry passes.

    Dude, how do we know what would happen if you used the Green Bissell first, then the Rug Doctor? Does the Rug Doctor hold more liquid(causing more weight?) You even said that the dirty water after your conditioner treatment had pet hair and was still a little dirty, just not as bad. Well I'd sure hope not after cleaning the carpet twice with 2 different commercial cleaners before running the conditioner rinse. Are you sure you're not just a tad a fan favorite of the Green Bissell before the test?

    • @VacMaster1991

      I paid for both and are not sponsored by either brand. The brushes and nozzle design are better on the big green. This isn't supposed to be super scientific. Just a quick test.

    I've owned the Bissell Big Green commercial which is essentially the same as the home model I believe but has a longer cord. I also own the rug Doctor pro deep which is the same model that is rented at say Walmart and other retailers and grocery stores and I believe it's their current, most recent model. I was a firm believer that the Bissell Big Green was the superior machine however, after more testing, I have found the rug Doctor pro deep to be the far superior machine. First off, it's not as heavy secondly it has clean and dirty water tanks that are nearly as large as the Bissell and easier to remove drain and refill. I have also found the Bissell to be much heavier and much harder to clean a room due to the weight difference. Although both are very superior machines in nearly every respect the rug Doctor pro deep does have the more powerful suction of the two units. Actually, the rug Doctor has such powerful suction that sometimes it will nearly stick to the floor with such force that it's hard to lift from the carpet. I find the Bissell to have this issue too but it's due to its weight as the dirty water fills in the Bissell yes the cleaning does improve but it becomes much more cumbersome to clean a room with that dirty water tank nearly full. heavier the unit gets but the suction is much more powerful in the rug Doctor regardless if that dirty tank is full or not. That's my honest opinion and that's after using both machines several hundred times.

    It is the best machine when it broke, I rented a commercial machine from Home Deposit and I was not impressed. I had to redo it with the green machine. I use this machine for all my rental homes. I am actually ordering another since it finally broke. I purchase it in 2015.

I found with the Rug Dr the stains (and not any real bad ones) would appear back after a little. Then again that would happen sometimes when when I would have it professionally done too.
