I mix my cake mix and butter together until it’s it’s a moist crumble, then spread it over the fruit pie filling. It turns out perfectly with no dry spots. I’ve used cream cheese and nuts also.

I can't wait to make this! I will freeze my butter and grate it over the top. This way covers the entire cake with no dry spots and no crumble texture. I love love LOVE lemon, so I will use lemon cake mix and then glaze with powder sugar and lemon juice!!! SUPER EXCITED!!!!

You can also do this with your pumpkin pie filling, just add 2 extra eggs to the mix that you would normally use for 2 pies. Pour into a dry cake pan, cover with the cake mix and butter. Pecans on top if you like. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes and a knife comes out clean like you test regular pumpkin pie. Top with whipped cream. Good hot or cold. Its easy to take to a family gathering and serves more than a pie.

I have discovered that if you add the melted butter to the cake mix in a bowl stir to combine and then crumble it over the top it works better.
I have also, and I did a strawberry cheesecake video today with the crumbles.
I do this and use canned peaches for a fast peach cobbler. Sometimes I add fresh blueberries. 😋

You can also do this with your pumpkin pie filling, just add 2 extra eggs to the mix that you would normally use for 2 pies. Pour into a dry cake pan, cover with the cake mix and butter. Pecans on top if you like. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes and a knife comes out clean like you test regular pumpkin pie. Top with whipped cream. Good hot or cold. Its easy to take to a family gathering and serves more than a pie.

The pumpkin version sounds really good too. Now I have 2 new cakes to try.
With pumpkin I use spice cake mix.
