I meet Gorilla today wile I was walking around the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. He spent 7 years in the military, while in the military he stepped on a land mine and lost his leg as well as two thirds of his intestine.

The drug problem in the Tenderloin is a multi-faceted issue that requires a comprehensive approach involving public health, law enforcement, social services, and community engagement. Efforts to address the crisis must balance the need for public safety with compassionate responses that address the root causes of addiction and provide pathways to recovery.
