I went to jail 1 time for a 1/2 of a cigarette. I was 17 years old. 17 is a legal adult in Texas,but 18 was the legal smoking age. Did 2 days in jail for a half of a Marlboro Lol. Weird things do happen in our legal system!
Interesting interviews. When Shane was saying that he asked for the max time, I do not think it is because he enjoys jail. I know some do prefer the inside, as they have shelter and three meals a day, and some are just institutionalized. I think Shane was implying he ask for max time so that when he gets out he is free, and not paroled. This is just my opinion, and I do not know all the rules. I am sure it varies from state to state. I do know a person that broke probation and asked the judge to serve the full time, avoiding a probation, and the judge was happy to accommodate.
