How are the lyrics creepy? It's about someone knowing what they would love in a partner since they were a young person, and then finally finding that person they always envisioned since back then. It also talks about how he'll keep loving that person even after they're gone. It's a beautiful song

i just . . . . i just do not understand why ben platt is so popular as a solo artist. as evan hansen, sure, he was amazing. but as ben platt, his vibrato is beyond obnoxious. i actually thought he was choosing to sing like that as evan hansen since it makes him sound incredibly nervous. yeah, i cannot imagine choosing to sit through a concert of his.

I mean... what? Vibrato makes you sound nervous? Not sure you have studied classical singing. There is a stark difference between classically trained vocalists and whatever pop music rules the day. No, I don't think it makes him sound nervous, but there are various qualities a vocalist may embody, but vibrato is maybe usually desireable. I think very much for opera, but even still for others and then there are even very popular examples in their time who have had pronounced vibrato. I think you should revisitit this and sit with other artisits who use vibrato. It may not be your cup of tea, but it is quite popular as one of many qualities sought after in vocalists/singers.
