There is no secret sauce. There is just love and mutual respect. 14 years with my husband, who is hot AF, but we don't always get along, we don't really fight though. It's a choice to stay together and appriciate the love. And to us it's worth it!
And a "Grow As We Go" mentality. That song by Ben Platt is an amazing piece of songwriting.
And congrats to you and your husband for what's probably 15 years at this point!

Idk if I'd say "twinning" is common in gay relationships, but it has happened enough to coin the term. And I'd imagine, as with most other reoccurring types of human relationships, it's one of many flavors that's always existed. From the examples I've met in my life, some of the twin couples were definitely rooted in narcissism (just based off their personalities and the behavior I saw), but others were simply rooted in the desire for something that felt familiar and safer in some way.
