My family has a siberian husky named Ruby. She is six months short of three years old. She argues with me over where she's allowed to put her paws (four on the floor kid;).) I understand teenager husky attitude. Give Nikolai a hug for me. He's amazing and deserves nothing less than a great home and a full belly. I'll be following his story with Ruby sitting next to me. Poor Nikolai, all the things he had to go through before you adopted him 😢 Our Shadow had the same breakage on the back of his neck from too tight collar when we adopted him. It's so sad to think what life they had, right? But now he's a happy baby with you. And thanks for saying all the things about dog training. Every dog can be trained. I am by no means an expert but Shadow has been off leash after a few months with us because we worked on bonding and practice all the time. He loves training! One of the things he enjoyes is to simply sit and wait till I go a bit further and then I call him and he runs to me with his tongue hanging out, grinning, super happy. And he's then soooo proud he did it right 🥰 You guys are giving him the best life he could ever get. Sending much love to you all, belly cuddles for the pups. God bless you 🙏 ❤

Great reminders with those future owners who should choose dogs more carefully. It is hard to understand why some owners put medication on husky who needs to connect with nature or space to exercise. Like the name Nikolai which changes adversity with eventual joyful experience.

Would you both do a video on how to care for Huskies. Alot of people have this breed and really have no clue as to how to take care of them. I my self had raised 5 huskies in my life. I did alot of research before I decided to get into the breed. I feel you both are in the best position to teach people the do's and donts of this wonderful breed. @@taliav8241 I have known the Husky Squad for a long while and they are two of the most loving and compassionate people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Please know that I am very sorry that Nikolai's prior owner feels hurt, but you commented that Nikolai's prior mom/owner was not experienced with the breed. She would have no idea as to the stress that would have been associated in leaving Nikolai at a rescue, no matter how reputable. The Husky Squad did give Nikolai a second chance at a life of freedom that the prior owner was unable to provide. Again, I am sorry about the previous owner's pain, but not researching the breed prior to adopting/buying is why so many huskies end up in shelters/rescues. We are grateful to all of those that are willing to give a pup a loving home and better quality of life.

Great looking Husky that Nikolai. We named our Husky Pani, which is a Polish word that kind of means Madame. My wife wanted a female. When we saw him we had to have him. We always pick a name before we get the dog. We already had the name tag so we went to with it. Maybe you should get Nikolai a DNA test. First time I saw him I said " Siberian Husky Chocolate Lab Designer Dog.
His not my frist but the hardest I wish I knew what happened to him almost three years now and still thing's we just keep going his my 5 rescue over 35 years
Hello there. Need to ask you a question or 2. I have a 7 month old husky male, He has a Hygroma on both his elbows. About the size of a quarter and other is little bit smaller. Do you know of an elbow pad sleeves i can buy to provide some padding, as he likes the hard wood floor. Also since i live in south Texas, it gets hot here. Has has access to AC anytime he wants it, and make sure i keep him inside most of the time. My question is is there a special type of sleeping pad that can help him stay cool? Or maybe a cooling jacket he can use when walk him? I walk both of my dogs at least 2 times every day. Thanks
