Oh Johnny, this video is so pure. Eveytime you said co-lander and cho-rise-o I died laughing. Keep up the good work. You’ll soon learn your way around the kitchen.
Johnny you are hilarious in the kitchen!! It's a "sad mood" kind of day as I care for a close friend in TO who just had a second cancer surgery and this video perked me right up and brought a smile!! Like Vivian suggested, more of these cooking videos would be fabulous!! You will be a great cook in no time at all! Well, okay, maybe a little time! I'm teasing! P.S. Yes! Preheat the cooking oil! Cheers!! 🙂
Great fun video. Now next time start from scratch and measure everything out. Still you did a very good job for a first attempt. Quite often first try’s are inedible. Hope you do more DIY videos
I agree Vivian! First DIY meals can be a bit of a disaster so I think Johnny did super well and this meal turned out edible and actually looked pretty good! I agree with your thought on starting from scratch and measuring everything out! It's a great skill to learn when trying to master cooking and with time and practice, it gets so much easier! I hope you are doing really well!! I watched this video again an hour ago to cheer up. I am in Toronto caring for a close friend who just had a second cancer surgery and I was feeling sad. Johnny's cooking did the trick for helping me smile! I hope you are having an awesome day! P.S.!! I love how Johnny uses Alexa to remember the potatoes in the oven! I didn't have that when getting better at cooking!! Lol!! Cheers!! 🙂
Hey Johnny! You did a fantastic job on making the black been chrorizo stew!! I know it was your first time doing that but you never gave up so well done! Have a great day!!
What a treat! One of my favourite youtuber's cooking ventures. Please do more vids like this. I recently got the Chef's Plate coupons in the mail, but threw them out which I now regret. Johnny, you are more than capable of preparing yummy meals for yourself. Keep at it!
Well I watched this in bed this morning before breakfast and now I’m so hungry! Shame you didn’t have the chorizo, but the beef seemed to work! It did, as you said, look kinda like a chilli, and I’m glad it was palatable. And thumbs up for going heavy on the Mayo - I absolutely love the stuff! Thank you for sharing your culinary moments with us! 😀💜
Oh my gosh! I have been waiting forever for a cooking video! I was there for the smoothie, and I'm gonna love watching this! PS So proud of you! "It's on the floor!" "a Coe-lander" OMG!
Well Johnny this certainly made my morning. Every time you said Alexa my tablet responded. 😅This was funny in a endearing way. Good job for your first try!
hey Johnny . Totally FUN watching you cook . Appreciate how honest you are about your cooking skills . "ALEXA shut up" LOL . After all the effort glad it tasted great . Would be fun to watch you make a dessert . Much respect . Mark (Toronto) 👍💙
Comedy gold! It would go faster if you did the three components in parallel. I like the meal kits to getting you to try recipes or techniques that you wouldn't do otherwise. Hats off for having the confidence to share your kitchen stumbles.
I consider myself a very poor and inexperienced cook, so what a relief to find someone so much more incompetent than i. I admit I got completely hypnotized by this video and now I feel like a seasoned chef (pun intended) by comparison. I'm fairly sure you were greatly exaggerating your lack of even basic kitchen related knowledge, but it made for a amusing and relaxing video for which I thank you. Your videos are wonderfully eclectic and very enjoyable... keep up the good work my friend.
This video has inspired me to come up with an alternative recipe to make a similar dish that is a lot easier! Go to Tim Hortons and order a large chili and some potato wedges. Cut up the potato wedges and place on top of the chili and add a bit of a Caesar salad dressing (it contains both garlic and mayo in the ingredients) on top.
I was having a not so great day. You have entertained me and cheered me up with this video - Thank you 😄 (BTW: you should rinse & pat dry the potatoes, to remove the starch. And, you forgot to toss them in the oil and add salt & pepper, before baking. Oops! 😄
Hi Johnny! I re-watched the video as I was dipping in and out during the premiere but got to say kudos to you for making a meal 😁 I can't help but wonder whether chefs plate had simply made an error in giving you extra ground beef instead of chorizo by mistake? Also I looked up aioli and that's actually the garlic mayo which you had put in your bowl before putting the stew in, so you kinda had aioli already albeit in a different form 😁 hopefully you'll continue with your cooking journey 👍
Thanks for the entertainment! 🤣 0:04 - "The last time I was here..." - it's been a l-o-n-g-g-g time, hasn't it? 9:35 - They sell jars of pre-peeled and pre-minced garlic at the store Garlic keeps the vampires away and it's only 32 days til Halloween! 21:00 - "How long is this going to take?!" Now that you're well on your way to becoming a pro in the kitchen 🙄, please make something inspired by your Amsterdam trip (or your next trip)?
This was funny! 🤣 I do like to cook, watching chop/cut was too funny. I'm pretty sure what you called "beef" was ground chorizo, three common ingredients: pork, smoked paprika and garlic. The aioli is made with garlic and olive oil, similar to mayonnaise. Love to see some more of your cooking skills. 😀
Hi Johnny aioli is mayo mixed up with garlic, chorizo is pronounced "chorizo" and a colander is a perforated metal bowl for draining juice from food! 😀
When you cook your aromatics, do it in the same pan you cooked your meat on after you take the meat out in the fat only NO water or other liquid besides oil to get some brown colour. Colour equals flavour
Last time you were making smoothie and it was fine but this time I was really concerned by the way you were using the knife it shows you definitely don't cook often but I enjoyed this cooking session. Glad it turned out to be good.
10.01.2023: Just wondering if any more action will be happening in Johnny's Kitchen!!!!.....Maybe re-create your Mom's chili.....Always nice to see what you are up to, in the kitchen!!!LOL!!!! Cheers!!!!🥰🥰🦅🦅
Love this, Johnny. You are an honest, albeit amusing, chef 👨🍳 Chorizo (cho-ree-zo) may have just been taken out of the casing. That's why it looks like ground meat.
OMG!!! This was entertaining! You need to make a list of kitchen tools/toys to get for your kitchen! Perhaps we can make the into a collaboration! You can use a grater to mince garlic, umm... it shouldn't have taken you an hour to make. Ketchup?🤢 You need to write the company to give a review You get a "A" and star ⭐for effort!
I'm honestly not a good cook but I have the advantage that the local hospital is just around the corner 😅. More videos like this can come for all I care 🙃.
Easy way to peel garlic is to put the individual cloves (separated from the full bulb🧄) under your knife 🔪 held parallel to the cutting board, then pound on the knife with the side of your hand in a fist 🤛 BTW, I'm very impressed that you didn't shed a tear when you chopped the onion 😢 🧅
Oh Johnny, this video is so pure. Eveytime you said co-lander and cho-rise-o I died laughing. Keep up the good work. You’ll soon learn your way around the kitchen.
this was filmed like a divorced father tryna get back his kids with him telling the judge “i know how to cook” for full custody vlog 🐒
😂😂
You, sir, just won the internet.
I love how at the end he goes and puts his own video on🤣
Excellent 👍
"Johnny Cooks" Bravo! Fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyed it! 👍👍
Hey!! Johnny your mother is either dying of laughter or she's very very proud of you for trying!!!
I’m thinking she’s wet herself laughing 😂😂😂
Best comedy cooking show ever. You made my day. Need lots more content on the lighter side. Thanks Sir 😊

Awesome looking forward to it I will watch it when I wake up! 🙂
Oh sweet Johnny. Where can I send you a colander ( pronounced call-an-der) and some parchment paper
Hey Johnny! You did a fantastic job on making the black been chrorizo stew!! I know it was your first time doing that but you never gave up so well done! Have a great day!!
Hi Johnny, black bean & chorizo stew sounds delicious! Looking forward to seeing you make it later 😊 👍

The Aioli kerfuffle made me laugh out loud! Thanks for brightening a (personally) depressing day!
Oh Johnny this should be fun 👍 see you then. 😊

Oh my. One word. OXO. You’re welcome. 💁♀️ You were correct about heating the pan first.
Bon apetit, Johnny. Good job 🧑🍳
Please do more of these Johnny's Kitchen videos 😁

Looks really good

I did rinse the potatoes but that didn't make the final cut lol
Freakin' hilarious!! You'll be a gourmet chef in no time! Loved every minute of it.
👍 Continue this video series.
Already have ;)
If Gordon R saw your knife 'technique' his reaction would .... be heard around the world. He would take away your apron and jacket.
😄 🤣
🤣🤣✔️
Well I just don't know what to say.. lol 😆 Hey as long as you liked it that's all that counts. You're too funny Johnny! 🤣🤣
This video really reinforced my confidence in my own cooking abilities 🤣🤣

Luv when I said I'l leave the potatoes in the oven to chill lol, dunno wasn't the garlic and the mayo combined aioli ????

The package said Lean Ground Beef on it! lol
In for culinary experience. 👍 Foodies unite.
Hi Johnny aioli is mayo mixed up with garlic, chorizo is pronounced "chorizo" and a colander is a perforated metal bowl for draining juice from food! 😀
I think I would try this but I would make sure I had eaten something 1st due to the time to prepare. Alexia is a great tool to remind one.
When you cook your aromatics, do it in the same pan you cooked your meat on after you take the meat out in the fat only NO water or other liquid besides oil to get some brown colour. Colour equals flavour
Yeah, he just boiled the aromatics. I like his improvisation to add water but that makes a big difference.
I want to see more cooking vids
Last time you were making smoothie and it was fine but this time I was really concerned by the way you were using the knife it shows you definitely don't cook often but I enjoyed this cooking session. Glad it turned out to be good.
Aioli is garlic mayo
Hahahah always that slide in the kitchen
I remember the original!
Geez, this video was hard to watch with my Alexa in the room! 🤣🤣.
Aoli f-bomb and but was it worth it? No but I knocked it out of the park! Quite entertaining 🤣. Great video!
Seeing this video makes me wanna learn how to cook even though my 20 year old self should have done so a long time ago 🤣
I'll have to get around to it at some point!
Hilarious. Gordon Ramsey has nothing to worry about,😆
Colander - call-lun-dher. Close though ;)
😂
Love this, Johnny. You are an honest, albeit amusing, chef 👨🍳
Chorizo (cho-ree-zo) may have just been taken out of the casing. That's why it looks like ground meat.
Your phonetic pronounciation for chorizo is not very helpful! The ch is pronounced like 'she'.
@@andrew20146 thank you
Make this a regular!
Did you add the 1 1/4 cup of water to the pot?
I did, but ended up cutting that part out.
Julia child has nothing on johny, well almost lol.
You have some nice beverages 🥃 can you pls consider a whisky tasting for next video 😜
More Johnny cooks vids please
Aioli = garlic mayo
Omg! I enjoyed this video so much 😂😂😂😂! Great job Johnny ! Now, we need @gordonramsay seal of approval 👍
If Gordon saw this JS wouldn't be able to repeat what Gordon said as they'd be too may F'bombs lol 😆
@@missyogiebear Lol very true 🤣
I shared this video with my wife. Perhap she can offer you some tips. Stay tuned😊

That's CHORITSO.

Living on your own you need to learn how to cook. I’m impressed cause I can’t do better 😂
Johnny has sampled cuisine from cultures all around the world.
But cooking?? Welllllllllllll… 😐
Johnny .... LOL
Stick to your walks and rides Johnny. Just saying! 😁
Arwww I thought he did OK... bless him 🤗
Create another channel..."Clueless Cooking with Johnny"...lol
Please be polite to Alexa. Disgraceful way to speak to her. 😮
Well she wasn't doing a very good job!
lol she deserved it IMO
Don't be mean to Alexa
In case you haven't heard, she's not real.
