I said yes and they had to ship it at the price that was listed two years ago with free shipping because that was the conditions under which I ordered it. I don’t think they were happy but two years and three weeks after I ordered it, I finally got the dash for my car.
I learned a trick about putting holes in automotive carpet. I heard that you can heat an awl… so I used my soldering iron, found the holes in the floor and melted the carpet with the soldering iron for the holes. It worked great… just be careful where you lay the soldering iron down at.
That Whine is the Diff. "Have you checked yore rear end" 🤣 The best way to put holes in the carpet is to use a soldering iron. It makes the perfect hole and melts the thread stopping it from ever pulling a thread. loved this episode.

Station wagons are starting to show up far more often than before at car shows. You've put a ton of work into this one and a decent paint job would really make this car stand out. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, Squeezey should be selling her art to save up for HER first car! She'll be needing one sooner than you think! I wonder what she'll choose??@@Sleeperdude
My dad used to call them over barrels. Instead of coveralls. I'm not sure if that was because that's what he thought they were as a kid or because some of us guys have barrels in the middle. LOL
My dad used one of those impact drivers. I'm an Aircraft mechanic and we have a screw knocker that sits on the end of a rivet gun with a handle on the side. Also use valve grinding compound on screw to help from stripping them.
That outfit and hat Ralphie is wearing, then SleeperDude is twinning with him had me grinning. Raphie he is such a cute kid! Especially when he did the Skeet Skeet promo for Sweet Patina. I will have to buy some. Don't know why I need it, just that Ralphie told me to buy it. You all should get the same coveralls and wear the same shirt when you go to a Car Show, it would be so cool to see! The family vibes you all put out are strong, makes me miss raising my 2 Boyz so much. This car is close to one we had when I was a kid. We had a Vista Cruiser as well. I remember riding in the 'back back' as we called it, in the backward facing seat. Cars back then were made to last. Keep em all, they ain't making no more!
Love your show, my husband 65, and myself 57. He used to wrench on vehicles here in Minnesota, and now he's living vicariously thru all of you❤❤❤Momma Sleeper Dude keep up the great job. You make me laugh so much... thank you. The kids are awesome as well, and Squeez keep on painting💚💚💚
I just noticed last night that Wawa's blue beetle makes a brief appearance in the 1979 horror movie Phantasm ( one that is identical to hers). That movie is already famous to car buffs because of the cool black 71 Hemi Cuda the main characters drive.
Great video! One thing about those old Fords is so much of the hardware is the same for all the models. Some of the Falcons you have will have many of the odd clips and window hardware you need. ;)
The FORD Country Squire Wagons really were the Conestoga Wagons of the 1960's and 1970's. They took families across town and across the country. Thanks so much for rescuing this one! You all did a excellent job installing the new floor pan and fixing the door latches as well as the 5 speed tremec/hyd. clutch install and fabrication. WaWa and Ralphie did a great job on sanding down the welds--Squeezie art work is really good, the wife's camera work is very good also.
I'm restoring a 62 falcon. Those clock springs in the latches are hard to come by. I found latch springs for like a 30s Ford! On eBay and with some slight modifications (had to file the center slot wider) and boom latches are better than new.
On your ultrasonic cleaner take an old sheet pan/cookie sheet to use as a lid. You can cut holes where you need to let parts stick through that don’t fit. This way you lose less heat and fluid to evaporation. I buy up sheet pans and pie pans at garage sales for like fiddy cents (or less)whenever I see them they make great parts trays also. Looking forward to seeing more on this wagon; my dad was a Ford guy so when the family got big enough to make muscle cars impractical he bought one of these new in ‘64, ours was black.
😊You should be able to put a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood in there and have the tailgate closed, I believe that's why the seats work the way they do.jost sharing from experience.
Bruh, I dig that car so much but can't stand the front and rear wheels not matching. I love that fact that you all are doing the build on this from floor pans to carpets, Not many videos out there showing all that work, I really appreciate that! Great work!
You should get your artist a big flat panel van and paint it with chalkboard paint... (yes they make chalkboard paint you can draw on. Then it rains and a fresh canvas😊)
Dude! How can you make this car go from sitting in the junk yard, to 😮 OH MY GOD, I want that car!!?? You're awesome man! I wish I knew you, we'd go find me a '71 Chevelle SS! I used to have one back in '82, I still miss that car today!!!
A lot of the window felts and rubber seals can be bought in bulk from an auto glass shop. You might find damaged rust free doors for the parts you need. I believe door cards from any 64 galaxie 4 dr should fit. I bet there are plenty of people with parts you need just laying around.
I reached out to Bendpak about a brake lathe for them. I think they have tire machines too. Maybe if enough of us reach out they will sponsor Sleeperdude for some equipment. They are the ones that Junkyardigs got his brake lathe from.

I heated up a bolt and it works well

The fabric on the door rods were to prevent vibration
Right, it's a coarse fabric tube that slides over the rods so they don't rattle against the door structure.

"What's that dog doin?" That got me good. 😆Every once in a while, Josh will say something that cracks me up so bad.
Your ears must have been burning, my wife and I were just talking about a new video post coming soon. Love your channel, keep up the good content
Thanks! Will do!
@Sleeperdude I would recommend also using the Boom Mat on the ceilings in your builds. It will reduce noise and heat almost as much as doing floors does. Love you guys and hope to see your family continue being blessed.
Yeah that would be good
Glad to see the Ol' girl brought back to life! But she is screaming for some steelies and moons! You guys are like me and my wife in so many ways. We both have a pet named Rocky, I love Crocs my wife does flops, I love Vienyas and RCs and my wife don'tYou can tell be both from the Country😅 Can't wait to get to meet you guys some day, I know it will be an honor! Oh yeah and you may find it helpful to try and use Masonite or quartboard for those panels. Just a FYI
Ok thank you
I love your Galaxie Wagon. It looks great and sounds so good. Great work on your floor and all the mat insulation. The carpet that you have so far looks great. I so enjoy watching your family build your cars and trucks. Keep the awesome videos coming. God bless you all. May your weekend be blessed as well.
Thanks so much!
Sunflower in the moonlight? Nice one, Squeezey!
👍👍👍
Yeah, Squeezey should be selling her art to save up for HER first car! She'll be needing one sooner than you think! I wonder what she'll choose??@@Sleeperdude
Everyone is So TALENTED 😎💯 Ralphie's creation of a tractor needs to be expanded and put up for sale !! That car is turning out quite the ripper .
I wish Josh would be honest; he doesn’t actually know any of your names. He’s just doing his best.
It’s the thought that counts.
For sure
As a former paint and body guy, if it was something I wasn't familiar with I found it helpful to take pictures
My dad used to call them over barrels. Instead of coveralls. I'm not sure if that was because that's what he thought they were as a kid or because some of us guys have barrels in the middle. LOL
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 why get a 6 pack when you can have the hole keg 😂😂
Love it! Full size Ford with a manual transmission and the exhaust sounds awesome !
Thank you
Ralphie still got his hat in love it
Thank you
My dad used one of those impact drivers.
Thank you I’m glad you like it
9:07 - yep, restoration is all about labeling parts
👍👍👍
Yes exactly, if you have no patience, restoration isn't going to be your thing...
Dude, this thing brings a huge smile to my face. Loving the stance on this Galaxie Wagon.
Thank you
In the future, you can heat up a cheap old screwdriver and push up through the holes to give yourself a clean fray-free look.
Yeah good tip
Classic station wagons are some of the coolest vehicles ever designed and they still have a lot of practicality still today for daily use and fun.
Very true
I just noticed last night that Wawa's blue beetle makes a brief appearance in the 1979 horror movie Phantasm ( one that is identical to hers). That movie is already famous to car buffs because of the cool black 71 Hemi Cuda the main characters drive.
😳
Thats a '74 Superbeetle. Wawa's is a '71.
So sorry for all of your losses. I will pray for your family and there’s as well. Be blessed. Love your channel. It’s the absolute best one on TH-cam.
Thank you
Great video!
Another awesome video from Sleeper Dude! You all are the best family channel on TH-cam. Keep em coming guys!😊
Thanks! Will do!
These are the good old days, so precious doing all this with your family! Love you guys! You are such a blessing to this old man.
😊You should be able to put a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood in there and have the tailgate closed, I believe that's why the seats work the way they do.jost sharing from experience.
Probably so
Bruh, I dig that car so much but can't stand the front and rear wheels not matching.
Yeah that would be cool
I think a squeeze mural would be impeccable!
First car I think I’ve seen y’all work on that didn’t have road signs to cover the holes in the floor! Lookin good!
Yeah for sure
Yes, he's losing it or something. 😅
The new hat looks good on ralphie
Yes he loves it
Dude! How can you make this car go from sitting in the junk yard, to 😮 OH MY GOD, I want that car!!?? You're awesome man! I wish I knew you, we'd go find me a '71 Chevelle SS! I used to have one back in '82, I still miss that car today!!!
Thank you
Those are nice breaks. My old sign shop had 2 of those east wood ones. The only thing they could have is an angle gauge on the side
Awesome thanks
A lot of the window felts and rubber seals can be bought in bulk from an auto glass shop. You might find damaged rust free doors for the parts you need. I believe door cards from any 64 galaxie 4 dr should fit. I bet there are plenty of people with parts you need just laying around.
So when do you think we will see you do A full restoration on a car. Even a paint job.
Thats what I would love to see.
Yeah we plan to paint Ralphie corvette soon
When I was a child, we had a 64 Country Squire wagon!
So cool
Cool metal break! You should hit Eastwood up for a tire machine next. 🙃😬
I reached out to Bendpak about a brake lathe for them. I think they have tire machines too. Maybe if enough of us reach out they will sponsor Sleeperdude for some equipment. They are the ones that Junkyardigs got his brake lathe from.
@@JNygaard great idea. I’m on it.
Tickles me to see Wa smile when you mash down on the go pedal.
