    I have anxiety problems and depression. It’s destructive at some times. I have professional help. But sometimes I can’t take it anymore. I love making music. Performed a lot in my life as a DJ and also as a pianist for a choir. I love the people who listen to my music and respect it when I perform or release. But sometimes I burst out in tears. Although I know that I know that I am grateful for what I do and that I’m somewhat privileged I’m also a human just like anyone else. Great video, Pete.

    Thanks Pete. I suffer from the things your talking about. When I was in my 20s I was in a band I loved but the lead guy asked me to leave. I loved making music but that really knocked my confidence and I felt really anxious about making any more music. Anyway now, 15 years later, I’m writing and recording songs again and learning IOS GarageBand from your channel has been a huge part of that. I’m still anxious about sharing my music with most people but I am now in a band again too and I really love playing with people. Thanks for spending your time making videos that help people like me learn how to make recordings sound better.

      Wonderful to hear my friend. Too many folks have been on your shoes and hopefully we can continue encouraging more people to create more music. Nobody needs to pick you anymore / everyone can play.

I CAN IN NO WAY even begin to imagine the despair,fears, horrors,doubts& dis-beliefs that those young soldiers had to have faced in their missions they endured & so selflessly gave their life for!!!! Gone yes,but forgotten, NEVER!!! GOD BLESS their souls & the many family members & loved ones they left behind for the cause of Liberty && Freedom.Our lives today are as they are because of their Heroic actions!!😎🍻🍺🍻

    Hi Pete ,
    Speaking of anxiety .. I have been using the music memos app you recommend for about a year with ideas for songs and of course lyrics to those songs and ideas 😱 then ..bang , the program freezes up and now unable to retrieve a year worth of work . 😢😡 ouch ..I am desperately trying to find a way to bring that data back . I have been on the phone with apple and trying different things but to no avail so far. Next step to try and contact the designers of the app 😴. All data is backed up on iCloud, I even purchased a new iPhone pro Max yesterday hoping it by a miracle it would help restore from my iCloud backup but of course did the same thing..open app ,then once you tap on data on screen..freezes up weird thing messes with iWatch app also google won’t open up ..freezes ..phone ,get hot 🥵 then of course I must reboot then things go back to normal. You might want to warn your viewers of this very upsetting issue . I used to use voice memos for my ides but the music memos was definitely much more convenient for musicians with place for lyrics and other info. If you know of a fix please send me the cure. Thanks so much and keep up the great informative videos.

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there. Very sorry to hear my friend! I’ve heard of this happening with ideas saved on the device but never iCloud Drive? Such a strange one. My fingers are crossed for you hat there will be some sort of fix here.

    • @hangerq5735
      @hangerq5735 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pete Johns It seems the data is backed up on the cloud but the app itself from the backup is somehow corrupted . If I delete the original music memos app then download a fresh copy it will work great but of course you are starting all over from scratch because of the design of this app my old data is not part of the new downloaded version. 😩😡🥵🤯😜

      Pete Johns A lesson learned here. ..good ole pen and notebook and great memory. What is hilarious I still have old cassette tapes with ideas/ lyrics/ notes that still to this day are still there after30 years...😔

    • @PeteJohnsMusic

      Indeed! Insecurity has present itself in either way. Some are suffering but put on an outer shell of false confidence to hide how they are really feeling.

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re looking for a sound effect? I use freedound.org for most sounds I’m looking to use and they have a good range.

      @Pete Johns no sir I was wondering if you could help me find the sound effect used in a certain scene of a show

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might need to ask around on an online forum or group for something like this my friend. I’m far from an expert when it comes to sound effects.

      @@ShahidKarim-rz2epI think that way too specific of a question but I'll offer some guidance since we're in 2020. Try using melody.ml or the iOS app, "Let's Unmix" to get that exact sound off the scene. Get a snippet of the audio (preferably legally, but...) , and use the app/website to split it into components. It might get the audio you're looking for. If it's a bit rough, then try and analyze that audio and replicate the sound.
      Some useful FREE analysis tool to help you replicate these sounds are:
      1. Wavescope (currently free, AUv3)- itunes.apple.com/app/id1456540213?at=11l3KP&mt=8&uo=4&ct=1
      2. Vectorscope (free, IAA) - itunes.apple.com/app/id735257507?at=11l3KP&mt=8&uo=4&ct=1
      And the, free "Let's Unmix" app to get the audio is - itunes.apple.com/app/id1500367180?at=11l3KP&mt=8&uo=4&ct=1
      (you do need to pay a one time fee to unlock the app and let you save in your device)
      Also, check out my channel at #SEONN or th-cam.com/users/seonnthaproducer for some more Garageband videos.
      @Pete Johns - Hope it's okay for me to promote my channel as well. Trying to help producers get better at their craft on mobile devices (iOS, Android)

      @@PeteJohnsMusic another tip for speaking to large crowds or playing musci to an audience. if it was just one personit wouldnt be scraey at all. its the whoel crowd crowd that makes it scarey. like they have a collective mind. they dont. so just think of a crowd as a whole load of one persons standing together. you are one on one with each of them. it is really only one person you are playing or speaking to.
